The thing about Fabinho for me is that his time of retrieving the ball and then executing a quality offensive pass is very very low. At the start of the season, I’d said it was going to be his year. The year where his reputation within the game shoots way up. I was maybe a little critical of a few small mistakes he made earlier on in the season but it’s performances like this one that will eventually grab headlines. What a signing he was.
But ya, good to know I wasn’t the only one who thought he was MOTM! I was really shocked to see Sky’s ratings.

28th October 2019 at 8:53 am #51196AnonymousI think Arsenals winning goal should have stood. Arsenal player did get a touch on the ball initially and after that it was 50-50/tangle of legs rather than a foul.

28th October 2019 at 9:59 am #51199AnonymousSeen plenty of teams that deserve to be top of the log but never seen such a lucky team as Liverpool. Reminds me of all those penalties United got cause Ferguson abused the cowardly officials.

28th October 2019 at 10:04 am #51200not seen it either mate, he wouldnt be the first player booed off by home supporters and has been happening for a while with him, he is not highly thought of by the fan base and has been made club captain by emery and chosen every match when he is just not good enough, so my issue is with Emery for picking him….
the fans are entitled to voice their displeasure, they pay a lot and go watch rubbish, Emery hasnt listened one bit and kept on with him so it came to a head and the player reacted very badly (you can see why, he is human) but it was the wrong thing to do….
its not the first thing of this sort to happen but the manager should have avoideds all this and stoped acting like AW and kept playing our woprst performer and having us play such dire football…..

28th October 2019 at 10:44 am #51204Still think one of Arsenalโs biggest problems is squad togetherness. Just looking through the squad, itโs hard to find players that have been there for more than 2/3 years, and indeed one of the few Arsenal players that has been there a while (for 6 years) is…รzil, who is currently being frozen out. So whilst thereโs no doubt still legitimate criticism of Emery, the question, at the end of the day, are who are his sergeants on the football pitch? Canโt think of many. So itโs no wonder they struggle away from home. So for me Arsenalโs priority first and foremost is try and build some kind of base that will eventually give them the resilience they so desperately need. But that can only be done in the longer term so any solution here is way deeper than Emery.

28th October 2019 at 10:49 am #51205we needed to move on a huge amount of pverpaid and underperforming players, just like OZIL, he is oneof the reasons we are where we are, if there is no togetherness its not down to amount of time at a club, that stems from the manager and players themselves, we had to move on players who had a bad mentality under AW which was all of them where top4 was a trophy and getting beaten by huge amounts in CL and PL was acceptable….dont buy in to that at all
we do need players to step up and start being leaders but for me few players fit this mould these days…

28th October 2019 at 10:53 am #51206How are liverpool
Lucky moos? They have lost one game in ten months. They won 17 games in a row. How on earth was yday lucky. We absolutely battered spurs
How was the draw at utd lucky? We have played 5 of the top 6 and won 5 of them with no luck at all.
Please explain mate.

28th October 2019 at 12:02 pm #51208I don’t watch Liverpool much but from what I can gather they had a few last minute winning goals and penalties as well and also on the dubious side, remember there’s been many cases where officials are still with the help of technology getting it wrong, so in that sense you can say they been somewhat lucky but why worry all sides that are topping a league are mostly lucky. Just the way it goes.

28th October 2019 at 12:04 pm #51209AnonymousMoos, there hasn’t been a single lucky penalty for us. I may not be a fan of a player making sure he’s fouled, that’s my own preference as a fan but the foul yesterday was 100% legitimate. Are you saying that Liverpool are lucky to be in the box more than most teams, with players who are too quick and tricky for the opposition defence to handle? If so you’re right, we are lucky to have the likes of Mane, Firmino and Salah.
I don’t get the anti-Liverpool stuff at all. We’ve not won the PL, so it’s not like fans can be sick to death of us winning everything.

28th October 2019 at 12:08 pm #51210AnonymousLast minute goal scoring isn’t luck though, it’s being fitter and more switched on and determined than the opposition. Utd used to score loads of late goals, to the point where teams feared that late surge.
As for the penalties, I think dubious is a pretty strong word considering there isn’t a single one where you’d say “nope, not a peno”. If anyone wants to pick a particular penalty scenario out and correct me, please do so.

28th October 2019 at 12:16 pm #51211lads, if i may, i dont think there is anti liverpool stuff, i think that if anything is said about liverpool at all thats not in the best of lights then most of you chaps get a little irked, you are playing very well yet still there is an undercurrent from your own fans of entitlement and poor us no one wants us to win etc….
especially on a board with so many pool fans
we all think your fabulous so chill out ๐
its the whining not the winning ๐

28th October 2019 at 12:19 pm #51212AnonymousI only asked someone to clarify what they said, that’s definitely not whining. I can’t control the voice you read this in , in your head.
“Seen plenty of teams that deserve to be top of the log but never seen such a lucky team as Liverpool.”
If pointing out that a statement is factually incorrect is whining then I’m not sure what the point of forums are at all.

28th October 2019 at 12:44 pm #51214Stevo no problem at all anyone saying anything negative about Liverpool if itโs true but throwing out statements like that without any explanation is why Iโm responding
Blaze says it now aswell but what penalty was dubious? Both were fouls on mane. Yday was as stone wall as can be
The sign of a top team is scoring late goals and winning teams
I donโt think there is an anti Liverpool agenda at all but a tiny bit of bitterness that we keep winning games
