Just reading some further fall-out from Saturday’s game (or as Pool fans refer to it, “WWF Smackdown: Ukraine Edition”), Pool have now been demoted to Pot 3 in next years Champions Punch-Up with the Spuds in Pot 2. By all accounts, if Pool had won, they would have been Pot 1 with Spuds in Pot 3…

Guessing some other team has gained somewhere, but it wasn’t a Pommie side…

That could be a significant benefit to Spurs and a distinct disadvantage to Liverpool in the CL Group draw but it all depends on the draw look at the Group Liverpool drew from Pot 3 last time compared to the Group Chelsea drew from Pot 1 and the Group Spurs drew. But it’s definitely a potential advantage for Spurs.

To be honest, looking at some of the teams in Pots 3 & 4 (a few spots reserved for the “qualifiers” in July, not really a huge advantage, still some “big” teams in those pots.

Pot 3 already has Schalke, Roma, Lyon, Monaco and CSKA confirmed (and Salahpool, 🙂 )…

Pot 4 already has Valencia, Inter, Galatasaray, Brugge, Hoffenheim and Plazen confirmed….

I’m happy with this. We need to draw real in the group stage and have Keita take a red card ending Ramos’s career. After that I think we will still qualify for the KOs unless we’re looking at a group of death.

but making sure that Ramos never plays again needs to be a priority for the club going forward.

Come on Mak when you boil it all down as disappointing as it was you lost a game of football the score was one all until an absolutely brilliant goal by Bale put Real in front and Salah is likely to play in the World Cup.
