So, it’s back!!! YAY!!! 🙂
After the snooze feast that is International Qualifiers, the main course is on.
Some tasty games this weekend with, quite strangely, all the big-dogs playing on Saturday.
Obviously the game of the weekend is City vs Pool, it would be a brave man to wedge his mortgage on that one, with another couple of quite tasty Foxes vs Chelski and Toffees vs Spuds. Can’t believe I’m saying this already but really think my boys need 3 points here, with YooUtd playing an out of form Stoke, we could very easily be 8 points of Top after 4 games… although as far as I’m concerned, this season is all about Top 4 and CL footy for the new stadium!

5th September 2017 at 2:53 pm #4693Reminder of how the table currently looks.
EDIT: Bear in mind that the average points become a bit distorted between fixtures as it is a live table, meaning once you predict another 10 scores, your average (points/number of predictions) takes the new predictions into account and assigns zero score to them. So the table is most accurate right after a set of fixtures

5th September 2017 at 5:47 pm #4695Maverick, you need to click on the below link and enter all your scores in the relevant matches at the bottom of the page. All the ones where there are empty boxes for the scores need filling in then click save. You’ll then be entered into our league. We calculate average points so it doesn’t matter if you’ve not been in it before

6th September 2017 at 11:04 am #4700Finally back again!
Looking forward to City vs Pool. Chelsea could easily drop points, as could Spurs & Utd. I certainly won’t be placing any bets this weekend, that’s for sure. I really can’t see City winning this game at home to Liverpool though. It’s the kind of game Liverpool will love. They’ll cause that City back line all sorts of problems with their pace.
I fancy Arsenal to get a big win to get their title challenge (top 4 challenge) back on track. They usually come back with a bang when they’ve been written off and the pressure and expectation has dropped.

6th September 2017 at 11:36 am #4701think City will win this one- they due to hit form soon. Chelsea have a very tough star of fixtures and the game they were expected to win they lost so upsets are always possible. As for world qualifiers these should always be during the week and stop spoiling our weekends with no EPL.

6th September 2017 at 1:02 pm #4702Yeah Ed, Pool v c$ty should be an attacking extravaganza, problem is though it’s not just c$ty’s fragile defence that will struggle with the attacking speed, our lot aren’t exactly mourinho like water tight.

7th September 2017 at 8:51 pm #4773Stoke haven’t started to badly. Big test for Utd but I expect them to win. Same with Chelsea and spurs. I really don’t think Everton have bought that well. Keane and sigursdon are well over priced and if sigursdon is played wide then it’s crazy. He has to play number ten but that’s were Rooney has been playing
City could steamroll anyone at anytime. Liverpool certainly have a chance but it will depend on who defends better. Just hope we don’t concede to early

9th September 2017 at 9:20 am #4816I can see that yours are in Jim. I think it just looks like nothing has been confirmed because you’re able to change your predictions even after saving, right up until 15mins before each game. Definitely registered though

9th September 2017 at 1:19 pm #4828Wonder if the dangerous play came into the decision there from UEFA – was Evra not sent off in a CL game a few seasons ago for trying to pluck the ball out of the air with a high foot as the opposition midfielder came in? We’re edging towards a non contact game if so.

9th September 2017 at 1:23 pm #4829Mikus… not saying for one minute Mane intended it, but that was almost a kick of karate proportions, with his foot about 7 foot in the air, and he did catch the keeper in the neck/throat region… and that has to come under “dangerous play” for me….
