Nil, we can’t afford to draw. We’ve got to win every single game from here on or it’s done.

28th March 2019 at 6:44 am #36351Mak, I’m certainly not playing down Poch’s spell at Spurs so far. He’s done a decent job but I think he gets way too much credit sometimes. It’s almost as though football fans have forgotten what the point of football is. Ever since Barcelona and their tiki taka football became the latest trend, people everywhere became obsessed with playing pretty football and trophies became secondary. People quote possession stats rather than goals, number of passes rather than number of trophies.
Poch has done a decent job at Spurs but until he starts looking like winning something, it’s nothing more than that.

28th March 2019 at 7:43 am #36352I agree Ed and with your comparison to AW where the 4th place tophy is “good enough” and struggling to instill the right mentality to push to the bitter end

28th March 2019 at 7:50 am #36354Huddersfield could be relegated this weekend and if other results go against them matching Derby’s record of being the quickest team to fall out of the league in PL history. Shame when you think of how hard they fought last season to stay up.

28th March 2019 at 7:59 am #36355“Isn’t history great, allows fans to dine out for years in the future about things that happened years ago, for fans of crappy little clubs like ours, gives us something to do! ?”

28th March 2019 at 8:45 am #36358Mak, possibly true mate, though I believe with the amount of fixtures City are having to juggle, they’re likely to trip up and there’s no way they can win every single one (or maybe I’d be proven wrong).

28th March 2019 at 9:17 am #36359Nine @ 7:50, yeah it’s a shame as I quite liked Huddersfield especially under David Wagner.
I can’t remember whether Hudders actually got through the play-offs, but this kind of talking point falls back to the point of the 4th and 5th teams making the play-offs and those teams possibly having a 10th-15 point margin less than the teams above which measures quality and consistency.

28th March 2019 at 3:49 pm #36396I will be sad to see if, Huddersfield, finally, go down, after City, they are the team I follow, despite coming from Yorkshire!!!!!

28th March 2019 at 4:07 pm #36402Brian, isn’t Huddersfield in Yorkshire? Sadly no longer a case of “if ” and more a case of when. 16 points adrift with 7 games to play and the second worst goal difference in the PL.
I saw Huddersfield at Bristol City in their promotion season and they didn’t look like a side capable of going up and staying up then maybe it came too early for them.

28th March 2019 at 7:30 pm #36407AnonymousIm saying never. It’s not at all possible (realistically) that they can stay up. They’d have to play like City and have results go for them also.
