Showed good character to bounce back after yet another terrible decision which seems to be the norm over the weekend.
Some really bad decisions all weekend
Score line flatters Burnley. Good win and we move on

10th March 2019 at 2:31 pm #35381AnonymousI’m not sure what Klopp was complaining about with their goal. I saw nothing wrong with it but, have I missed something? Anyway… glad to have the 3 points, even if we didn’t make the most of the GD situation but secure your points first and foremost.
Where does this leave us in the title race? It’s honestly no different from before, City are MASSIVE favourites but if we can string some wins together an keep pace with them then you never know. This was just one such match, against a poor team at home.
Impressed with Van Dijk and Lallana today. Salah worked hard and he definitely made them work. He just needed that extra bit of arrogance really in order to score but he did well to setup Mane (kinda 2 times). No complaints with him. I think Fabinho was in and out of the game a bit. He struggled here and he did well there.
So, we play next without City playing theirs. We’ve got to respect and then beat Fulham. No other result will do. If we don’t put pressure on City, they will run away with it.
I kinda feel like we’ve got to win every remaining game to take the title. Maybe that won’t even be enough?

10th March 2019 at 2:35 pm #35382AnonymousMikus, what are your thoughts on the next 2? We both play Fulham and both teams should win but they play cardif while we’ve got to try and beat Spurs!… At least it’s at home. Ya, I know Spurs are going through a bad patch but you know that is going to end soon, hopefully not against us but my worry here is the potential for us to be 4 points behind City before they even play Spurs and Utd.
I mean, those 2 matches give us a chance but if they go into them with a cushion of 4… I just cant see them losing both. I guess this is one of those scenarios where it’s ok for fans to look ahead but of course, you want the team focused only on Fulham.
I am worried about this Spurs game though.

10th March 2019 at 2:46 pm #35386Mak I thought Salah was involved today but heβs not playing well. Dreadful 1st touch at times and no were playing like he can but he was a bit dangerous today.
Heβs much better at home then away. He needs to step up away from home
Lalanna , Bobby and mane were very good today

10th March 2019 at 2:55 pm #35387Mak, I still think City have got some mixed results in them. In some ways I think it better suits us, mentally speaking, to be chasing rather than to be leading. Thatβs why I think Klopp has wobbled a bit recently in some games because itβs as though heβs more concerned about βholding onβ as opposed to going for it. Itβs amazing what the can do to you, psychologically speaking. But regardless, itβs still probably going down to the wire this.

10th March 2019 at 3:10 pm #35388Mikus. Both have mixed results in them. Remember the Gerrard slip!
Run ins are quite similar but we lost at home to Palace,
On another matter what will happen to Birmingham City?

10th March 2019 at 3:18 pm #35389Adlab, no doubt. But ever since the loss to City after new year, Klopp has been looking over his shoulder. And you can see how itβs affected both him and the team. Now thats no longer the case, bizarrely, I think it will relieve the pressure that was on him and it completely changes his outlook on things, and he can revert back to start going for it more which is more his natural game.

10th March 2019 at 3:34 pm #35392Might be right Mikus.
How have Chelsea not scored? Bit too much diving too.
Also I dont understand why Willian doesnt start.Looking at the game there is too much reliance on Hazard. Now 20mins to go.

10th March 2019 at 3:56 pm #35393One man team! Good goal by Hazard. Unlucky Wolves but still 1 min too play. Wolves still only one shot I think.

10th March 2019 at 4:00 pm #35394Big incentive for both Arsenal and Man U to push on.
Wolves are a difficult nut to crack.

10th March 2019 at 4:06 pm #35396Wolves, in 7th place, i.e. the best of the rest, are almost as close in points difference to the relegation battle (14 points below them) than they are to Chelsea, in 6th position (13 points above them).
The Top 6 continue to drift further away from the rest season after season.

10th March 2019 at 4:07 pm #35397There’s a reason why they’re the best of the rest Silly, I’ve been quite impressed with them every time I’ve seen them this season… both times!

10th March 2019 at 4:16 pm #35399On the counter most probably Sean. I can see goals conceded by Arsenal in that type of an instance, but we shall see.

10th March 2019 at 4:26 pm #35400Great goal from Hazard. Very difficult game for Chelsea. Wolves were very organised and strung 10 across the box.
Despite Spurs trying their hardest to give a top 4 place away the EL still is probably Chelsea’s best hope and that won’t be easy.
An Arsenal/ United draw would be a good result this pm.
