Difficult to disagree that if not the biggest the United job is one of the biggest jobs in World football given the history of United the historical success and the enormous size of the worldwide fan base.
Getting United back on track and somewhere near where they were under SAF is an enormous challenge for whoever takes it on sadly for Ole it was just too big for him despite his United history.

Not trying to be funny but with Solsjkaer gone irrelevant whose in charge and Maguire out its actually a blow for Chelsea, any team always responds well to those circumstances, they United will try much harder.

No but it wasn’t me who said it and not my place to suggest it is the biggest job in world football. Who cares if it is or isn’t? Seemingly you two more than me π. It’s without doubt one of them but I couldn’t care less if it’s the biggest job or not.

Read that Poch isn’t happy with the way PSG is run with Leonardo making all the transfer decisions and he is left to only the coaching side of things. Can understand that he wants to leave even with Messi, Mbappe and Neymar at his disposal and are probably one of only 5 teams with a realistic chance of winning the CL. And with PSG inexplicably not winning the league or CL last season I think PSG aren’t too bothered either. Can see this and Zidane to PSG happening very soon.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are acknowledged as the 2 biggest clubs in the world but as you say it doesn’t really matter, what matters is watching your team playing and enjoying the game and hopefully winning the game and a title or 2 now and again.

Joking aside, there must be something “bad” going on at the French Moneybags, if leaving Messi, Naymer, Mpappddpee and Co, and subsequently his best chance of a CL on his CV, to deal with Slaphad and MacFred and a race for the Europa Conference league is a “good idea”….
The bigger question, though, is will be fired, sacked, or get a billion pounds to leave by mutual concent… (didn’t he also sign a new bit of paper this summer?)

I think if any job was tailor made for Conte at this time, it was to Man Utd. That dressing room needs shaking up, it needs discipline, it needs someone strong enough but charismatic enough to stand up to the players whilst maintaining a level of respect but also fear. The players need to know if they’re not performing, they’re out. And he’d have the funds he wanted to bring in who he wanted. But another ship let to sail on by the owners.

just looking at history to confirm something that blew my mind. Pretty much all the title wins come under 2 managers? All except the first 2 like 100 years ago? All European cups under same two managers too?

Thank goodness Conte landed up at Spurs and not United, United with their squad and resources would have been a real force to reckon with. Think now the playing fields will level out somewhat with Spurs, Newcastle , Arsenal, Hammers and maybe more competing against the top 4 .

Steve, that’s the problem with written communication. I’m genuinely not bothered who everyone thinks is the biggest club in the world. I just don’t get why people seem so keen to point out who is and isn’t π.
Foxy, that’s a fair point re Kane. The rest of the ppst about Moyes still stands though. “Imagine what he could do with more money” is far too simplistic a thing to say re overachievers and their prospects at clubs with higher expectations.

Considering PSG want champs league above all else, if Zidane willing to join them and utd come calling for poch, how easy would that decision be? Yes please we will take compensation for poch then hire a free agent who has won 3 champs leagues in a row!
If Poch is uniteds number 1 target they need to pull their finger out of their arse and make the call, I struggle to see why they would have to wait until the summer this should move quickly after PSG game tomorrow.
