Ok you 2, give me the grounds that Ole was as you say was “sacked” for.
No the media are very clever, they say sacked and then go on to say he’s left the club.
If they thought they could sack, then they would, but they know they’d lose in court, so it’s far cheaper to pay out early that wait until they can.
Would you rather pay out the compensation or lose the CL money for next season, a good business weighs up the risks and in this case it’s pay compensation…………Pagan

21st November 2021 at 1:44 pm #189344Yet another selective cut and paste 9
“Mourinho admits he once said he’d never manage Spurs but jokes ‘That was before Chelsea sacked me”
Jose, always spoke the truth?
Bet there’s thousands of Jose untruths out there, apparently he never had an interest in signing Ashley Cole as he was too short
Come on 9 at least use a credible witness…….Pagan

21st November 2021 at 1:44 pm #189345I suspect the £7.5m clause was already in Ole’s contract when he signed it smart move by United.

21st November 2021 at 1:54 pm #189348Here’s an easy one for you Pagan “he’s getting his contract paid up without actually having to work it” Simple yes no answer will do.
As Ole’s contract went until June 2024 if United pay him a year’s salary of £7.5 m have United paid his contract up until June 2024. Yes/No.

21st November 2021 at 1:58 pm #189350Quote from Jose
“That was not mutual agreement – mutual agreement was in my first period at Chelsea where I agreed completely that it was time to change (2007). I was very keen to change, I was more than ready to go on my adventure to other countries – I wanted to go to Spain, to Italy.
“This time, it was not [mutual]. It was a decision by the owner and I was informed of that decision. And I accepted it, obviously, in a polite way.”
Interesting he says he was informed and accepted it, so consented
Come on 9 you can do better than that………Pagan

21st November 2021 at 2:02 pm #189351Yes 9, he’s getting his contract paid up, it’s up to the two parties to decide what it’s worth.
You could also say Ole has had to lose out on £10.5m to relieve himself of his obligation to Manchester United.

Noun
“an act of dismissing someone from employment”Have utd just dismissed ole from employment? The levels of compensation etc all seem irrelevant really, ultimately he was dismissed by his employer and seems pointless to argue which word best describes the situation 🤣

21st November 2021 at 2:36 pm #189362Sky News: Manchester United have sacked manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The “difficult decision” was taken “with regret”, the club said, adding that the former striker, who scored the winning goal in the 1999 Champions League final, will “always be a legend” at Old Trafford.
Current club coach Michael Carrick will take charge of “forthcoming games” until bosses appoint an “interim manager to the end of the season”.

21st November 2021 at 2:53 pm #189369But you have an interim manager in carrick for how long Ed? One week, two weeks then appoint another interim manager then get rid of him in the summer? Shows me there is absolutely no plan and who is going to come in as an interim manager until the summer?
The club is a mess and that statement is bewildering. I understand carrick comes in but the rest doesn’t. So utd are now searching for an interim manager and not a manager now with only 12 ganes gone?
So who are they waiting for in the summer? Someone to be sacked?

With respect Pagan that is complete nonsense paying up Ole’s contract would have taken United to June 2024 and cost them over £18km we’ll never know because we don’t see the contracts but I suspect there was a clause in there that required United to pay Ole £7.5m if they sacked him they certainly haven’t paid up his contract paying up his contract would have been worth more than £18m!!!!!

21st November 2021 at 3:02 pm #189371Sean, I don’t think United intended to do anything about Ole until the Summer but things declined so badly they were forced into an earlier decision.
I’m not sure what else United could do they have to have someone in the dugout hence Carrick in charge for a couple of games before they can perhaps get a proper interim in.

21st November 2021 at 3:10 pm #189373Sean, they are in a mess no doubt bud. Although making a rash full time appointment now would only add to the mess. If the best options for full time job are not available until the summer then best to wait.
I’m not sure many would agree to be interim manager to end of season if there is no chance of it becoming permanent role. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s Carrick until end of season to be honest, not many hiddinks around willing to come in for short term.
