As much as Jose ? Or as Alfie clearly despises Pep ๐

28th February 2018 at 2:35 pm #16813AnonymousAnd yet Jim you make up things about me to suggest that you do in fact care, quite deeply, what I feel about your manager and your club.
I do not, however, despise Pep (nor City). I just feel that wearing a political emblem is in breach of the FA rules which state no political emblems to be warn. Do not confuse that with hatred for the man himself.
I havenโt felt any need to say anything positive towards him. That is not a sign of despising him either.

28th February 2018 at 3:14 pm #16814I haven’t seen anyone say they love him Jim, far from it! He’s not an easy person to love but anyone who can win trophies with our bunch of average prima donnas is alright by me! If it was a one off game, I couldn’t possibly advocate Klopp as he has such a terrible record in finals. Pep needs a year or so to get his team playing the way he wants them, so I’m actually half tempted to go for Big Sam ?

28th February 2018 at 3:38 pm #16816Haha fair enough Alfie, as I said several times I like the edge you give you the postings on here. We can’t all be lovey dovey all the time. Sometimes you say things to get a reaction and likewise I am the same, I was a aware you might respond to my despise comment. I can’t stand the way Mouriniho acts he comes across as a spoilt brat. But like the ed says he wins things albeit in a dull way so people accept his behaviour. Anyway honest hypothetical question given a choice between the two a couple of years ago would you have chosen Mouriniho over Guardiola? Jim

1st March 2018 at 8:30 am #16851AnonymousNo, I’d have preferred Guardiola.
You see Guardiola through tinted glasses though. You say Mourinho acts like a spoilt brat, but that’s the same as Guardiola. Both are very similar – as are a lot of managers. Fans just see what they want to see.
Everyone thinks they have the best fans, best players, best manager best this or that. When people get down to the brass tacks they will find that all football clubs, fans, managers etc are all very similar and would more than likely act the same in the same situations.

1st March 2018 at 9:36 am #16854Hi Alfie don’t disagree with much of that. Apart from i think Mouriniho has been a tad worse than most at times. But hey that’s just my opinion as you state. Why Guardiola can I ask. Both managers have similar trophy records and as nine points out Mouriniho has in the past played more attractive football than he currently does with United?

1st March 2018 at 9:56 am #16859AnonymousI think Chelsea fans are seeing what they want too! Mourinho is playing much better football now than whilst at Chelsea – something he himself is keen to state at every opportunity.
Mourinho rarely parks the bus these days, but when he does (Liverpool, City and Sevilla) he gets slated for it and it is accepted that he does it every week, despite clearly not doing so to anyone who watches them play.I couldn’t watch Chelsea when Mourinho was there as he was defensive whenever I saw them, but that is not the case at Utd. We’re not great, but certainly not as bad as what Chelsea were under him.
Guariola – He would have brought a more expansive game, he is deemed a good guy in the press so gets a free ride, other fans like him so you don’t have to read endless posts about Man Utd press conferences on forums. There are a lot of benefits with him. The down side is whether or not he could handle the pressure of managing Utd. That’s the upside of Mourinho – you know he has teh balls to do it.

1st March 2018 at 12:19 pm #16868AnonymousBig Jim. Honestly, a choice between Pep or Jose? Neither mate… Neither know how to build a side without spending the entire GDP of a developing country.
Pep’s football at Barca, the tiki taka shit bored me to tears… the only difference between last season and this is the fact he’s doubled down on the spending. There is no skill in that. City are spending sickening, obscene lamentable and dirty money… If you support that then you support repressive regimes hellbent on murder and mayhem in the Middle East.
Jose is simply anti football… Specialist in failing to develop youth. He simply cant and wont work with young players… See Rashfords Career has gone into reverse overdrive, Luke shaw might as well just die. He couldn’t wait to see Robben or duff when we had flair in the side. He sells anyone who has skill.
Both are an absolute disaster for the Premier League and the English national team. In fact, both are a disgrace to the league and themselves because both are petulant and ungrateful that they spend more than heads of state and a country national budget…. Because they want more money and more players… Pair of F**Kin Twats…

1st March 2018 at 12:26 pm #16869AnonymousAlfie… You sound like a CFC fan the second time Jose turned up at the club… Everyone was making excuses about the state of our play… In fact it was good, brilliant and expansive until the Sp*rs beat us and the negatron morphed us into three banks of defenders…. We went from expansive football to shithouse in one week.
United are about as expansive as you’re going to get under Jose. He doesn’t do attack, he does counter attack… Pogba becoming disruptive is another sign all is not well at your club… Take it from us Chelsea fans who’ve seen Jose writing on the walls before.

1st March 2018 at 12:26 pm #16870AnonymousAgain, you only see what you want to see.
โRashford has gone backwards in overdrive as Jose canโt work with youth.โ Name one youth player in a top 6 club who has played more this season than Rashford.
Jose has brought McTomminy through. Shaw plays every other game when fit.
Jose is no worse than any other manager at a top 6 club and better than most.

1st March 2018 at 12:46 pm #16875AnonymousAlfie… Take it from. aCFC fan who has seen the first and second coming of footballs holy messiah… The warning signs for me chap are warning and flashing… 18 months and he’ll be spat out by you and the club. The man is a toxic chemical dump when it comes to man management.
I too was once like you, believed he shouldn’t have been sacked the first time… When he lost the dressing room containing, Lampard, Drogba, Ballack, Terry, Carvalho, Chech….
He nearly got us relegated the second time around….
If Liverpool, Chelsea or Tottenham finish ahead of United this season… cough cough… watch out next season.

1st March 2018 at 1:15 pm #16879Anonymous442 – similar to Rashford not playing (when he hasn’t featured in something like 2 league matches this season), you are only seeing what you want to see. I’m not defending Jose, I accept he is toxic and I can’t see him here long term. All I said was he is playing just as many youth players as anyone else in the top 6, and more than most.
I can’t see Utd sacking Jose if we finish 3rd.
As for losing the Chelsea dressing room – it’s not actually that hard a thing to do if we’re honest. Utd are no-where near that bad. We couldn’t stay 2nd for as long as we have been if the dressing room was lost. All this seems to follow a falling out with Pogba, which seems grossly exaggerated.
Chucky – however you want to define one. Jose’s record (at Utd) will stand up to scrutiny against most top 6 clubs when it comes to youth, regardless of how you define them.

1st March 2018 at 1:35 pm #16880Despise Jose but letโs be honest. He has brought through Mctominay. He plays him in big games. Credit were credit is due
Not sure if stats but Iโd say Arnold off luveroool has played more and Christensen from Chelsea but I could be wrongDisagree about Shaw. Heโs git a while and after a good run was dropped. Didnโt even make Sevilla squad
Alfie makes some very valid points. Rashford does play. Not from the start as there are better players there. Martial is having a good season under Jose
Utd will win a trophy this season. They won 2 last year. Jose has to deliver the pl as Neville says but utd are having a good season. They played some good stuff ahainest Everton and aresnal away. They are very efficient and hard to beat. Iโd hate to get them in next round of cl and dressing ot in two weeks
