Jonny Evans to City is a weird one. He’s a decent centreback but nothing more. I can only imagine they’re short on their homegrown quota. Drinkwater to Chelsea, Jonny Evans to City, Paulinho to Barca. The Champions League is looking exciting this year!

most of these stories you hear are unlikely to happen as most of them are fueled by the media to sell stories or whatever it is they get out of it, its hard to believe that rival clubs will sell their better players to another rival club not everyone is as benevolent as Chelsea even though we have had some cases of it before when player power used to win.

Ahhh gutted that Usain Bolt misses his planned game for Utd legends! Would have been great fun.

Mbappe left out of Monaco’s squad. I wonder where he’s going. If he goes to PSG, that will mean neither Real or Barcelona have made any big purchases this summer unless Real pull a Hazard out of nowhere. There’s not many other Galacticos I could see them going for.

Surely the dominance of La Liga teams in the CL is coming to an end. As good as Barca and Real are right now, all their best stars are the wrong side of 30 and it’s hard to see who will take over from Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez etc.

Cantona-Only God knows when/if we will ever see another Messi again mate.Ramos,Pique,Mascherano,Busquets,Modric,Ronaldo,Benzema,Messi,Suarez,Iniesta,they are coming to the end of their careers.I expect the likes of Mbappe,Hazard,Dybala,Coutinho,Dembele,Griezmann,Alli,Belotti,Kane,to be the next “galacticos” headed for Bernabeu and Nou Camp!

Papers this morning have the Sanchez move close to being done at £28mil and potential £14mil in addons. Lot of money but I think he’ll prove to be a shrewd buy.

Jonny Evans supposedly set to double his £75,000 wages. Jonny Evans £150,000 a week. Christ. Solid, reliable backup for them but that’s a lot of money.

Both Dortmund and Liverpool seemingly playing hardball over Dembele and Coutinho. Rightly so. It’s about time Barca paid the going rate.

He is one player who could turn out a great buy, equally he could be a total waste of money.
