As you all know, I’ve been quite patient with Nil on this site and resisted temptations to remove him from posting at a cost of losing other posters along the way.

After waking to a barrage of midnight emails having a go at me for not responding to any of his threads (amongst other things) I’ve made the decision to remove him from the site.

Whether or not he’ll be allowed back on at some point remains to be seen but it’s not something I’m planning on, at least in the short term

Ooooo… missed those, reading Silly-Willy-Nilly’s Saturday ramblings on a Sunday morning with a nice cup of coffee wasn’t the worst part of my week…

Got to do what you got to do, Perspective Ed, but I for one hope you let him back in the near future…

He will never change Ed.
Either have him on here and know what he does, or keep him off the site permanently. There’s no inbetween with him I’m afraid.

I’m sure he’s a good guy with good intentions but he has other issues that we can’t help with on here, and it all spills out during his binges.

Ed, it’s been a difficult problem for you to deal with but nobody could have cut Nil more slack than you have. When Nil’s not on the Strongbow and his heads in the right place he’s a good contributor but unfortunately everything that Beni says above is true and it’s a reoccurring story. Sad but the right decision imo Ed. Cheers 999

Most of us have interacted with Nil on different forums over the years. It has always been the same. He can be a good guy a lot of the time, but he can also go way too far with his million threads about all and nothing and his almost agressive style when he feels something related to Liverpool is under fire. Most of the time it’s in his head.

Posters have left because of him, which is a shame. Nil’s been handed so many chances over so much time, but he hasn’t changed. His obsessive approach to forums like this just isn’t healthy, and perhaps the best for him is not to be a part of these forums. Perhaps if he doesn’t return others will.

I feel for the Ed on this one he’s tried so very hard with Nil to keep him posting on here giving Nil so many additional chances.

You can only give someone so many chshcss and the Ed has gone further with Nil than any other Editor before him.

As SRD suggests above I’m not sure a football forum is the best place for Nil and it will probably be to Nils benefit not to be involved on football forums.

Can only wish Nil well though going forwards.

I think you have done the right thing Ed, it is a pity because he could put some good post in however some form of action by you was required. This is a problem when a fan takes so much to heart and his fingers race ahead of him/her The Ed is trying to build a good Forum and one of the reasons I left Teamtalk there was no control by the Eds, To have a good Forum you need to moderate on a regulat basis. I also like an Ed that takes part in some discussions although I would not agree with some comments, then, I am not perfect either

I kinda miss him, but then I’m not getting ranting emails all night from him! Trying to decipher his posts was always good for exercising my brain, and saved me having to do crosswords and the like

I never had a problem myself with Nil, but if you send e-mails at night to the editor of site and you on a regular basis go on epic rants and end up in what best can be described as online confrontations, then clearly you have a problem. I hope he can get past those problems, but being on forums like this isn’t going to help him I think.

That’s it Beni. Not really much going on at the moment to talk about. I was thinking, like you, though that a few seem to have come back recently.

I like Nil. I just don’t have the time to deal with him on a football forum. Nil aside, this place looks after itself and considering I don’t make a penny from the site, I’ve come to realise it’s just not worth the effort trying to make it work with him on the site anymore.
