Paying 30m for a player they could get fir free in January mate. Goes totally againest fsgs policy. Would love to sign him though mate

If rumours are to be believed, he’s agreed personnel terms with Liverpool but the clubs have to agree a fee. I think the fee will be the stumbling block

I think he might go to psg or someone who can spend 30m without a 2nd thought

even 30m is too much for zaha. he’s so overrated. averages 6.5 goals a season. never scored more than 10.

30m for a player like him even with only a year left on his contract be a brilliant deal stevo

I think we lost something like 245m because of the virus (I could be wrong) we have spent 18 million in the last 18 months.C19 is hitting clubs big time I’ve read and also to pay 30m for a player who is 30 in April goes againest fsg policy

If a player like him comes along and wants to join, you have to snap him up.

You never know but I’m not get my hopes up chum

Yeah I get the financial restraints but you’ve earned so much more money in the last 2/3 years than you ever did the previous 20 it surprises me still
Other clubs can and do still spend
You have a fair amount of chaff too could and should sell
Lessen the wage bill and probably come out evens
If we end up spending more then you this summer I’d be unhappy as a pool fan as deals like this are rare and he would strengthen you and keep you at the top
To negative now and you could pay in a year or 2
Hopefully arteta will sweep in and get him
As long as we can sell our dross … or give them away ?

Stevo yo be honest mate, I’ll still be happy if we don’t sign anyone. We didn’t last summer and it worked out ok but I totally understand were you are coming from

It’s to good a deal to let pass but I fully trust everyone at the club to make the right decision. I’m very content at the minute

Overall what a slow summer of transfers.

I like Willian. I think he’s an excellent signing even at 32.

What’s your view on holding? Do you think he can make the grade?

He could do but no manager seems to have had faith in him so what do I know
If not then sell and buy better
We need a real settled defence line whether 3 and wing backs or a 4

We have young Saliba coming in
Would like a really decent partner for him myself

We do need backup and I’d keep holding unless we need to sell to buy but many others should be out before him

Just hope arteta really focuses on defence not just who he buys but as a team and tactics

Saliba I forgot about him. Tierney is an excellent player. He just needs to stay fit. He can defend and attack. Bullerin is not a bad player either but serius ibjury has hampered him

Soares is not a bad right back either. I was surprised the saints sold him but he hadn’t been playing

Leno and Martinez are two decent keepers. Leno has improved since he first joined

It’s the central of defence were 2 players at least are needed as sailba coming in

Chambers, holding and mustafi are not good enough. Is chambers still there? I can never remember as he is always going on loan

More a mf for me ….
chambers is there and never made the grade
Still have the Greek and the useless German…. need to clear at least 3 if not 4 and get a quality can in and have some cover
Bellerin always better going forward than defence and to injured but soares is back up
The key is shifting players we don’t want or play and we are bad at this
We need to be a bit leaner but with better quality no faith we can do this as we haven’t for years
