Messi kissed off Suarez?! I did hear they were close…

Messi got far too powerful at Barca. He has been magnificent for them but the relationship became a victim of its own success. No one should ever be bigger than the club but Messi was. Apparently he had huge influence in transfers, manager/coach appointments and tactics. He was undermining the management team. I think a split is needed for Barca to rebuild and maybe should of come a couple of years ago.

I still think he’ll end up staying at the expense of Bartomeu. Just can’t imagine him in any other shirt. There’s no way anyone would pay the release clause for him. Seems to be a bit of confusion about the “can leave for free” clause too where the club say it’s expired but he thinks otherwise.

i dont think its a case of messi got too powerful. i think its a case of Barcelona have lacked actual leadership or strategy off the pitch for many years now and tried to step up.
