8th November 2020 at 8:53 pm #169952Sean, thatβs the bit I donβt grasp, how we went from the RnB that was similar from its earliest recordings to the late 60s to what is now labelled as RnB, it bears no resemblance…..Pagan

8th November 2020 at 9:01 pm #169953Some Memorable and Iconic Artists in the 90s that created great 90s Soul James: LL Cool J; Soul For Real; KREUZ; Silk; 112; Notorious BIG; Tu Pac; Jay Z.
These were the Names and the Music of this Genre.
The ‘observation’ now for more older listeners is that they’re coming across ‘Little Mix’ that’s most definitely catering for an Audience. Otherwise, by default, “they wouldn’t be selling millions”!
The Amount of Population is humongous.
In my eyes now, there is a dearth in Natural Musical Talent; be it picking up an Instrument like the Guitar or have a Voice.
Liam and Noel together of a certain Generation in example were and are of something of a Unique I don’t think I’ll see anytime soon.

9th November 2020 at 8:29 pm #170009Nine..you are right…playing Blues you have to have a real feel for music. A lot has developed from the Jazz genre . I must admit I like playing to slow Jazz/Blues tempo. have just finished a number called. When sunny gets Blue….a great standard but not heard much these days
Lockdown does not bother me…so much great music to listen or play…not enough hours in the day!!

12th November 2020 at 1:16 pm #170138AnonymousSeeing there’s so many self acclaimed musicians on here we should get together at some time and have a good old jam, Moos plays a decent guitar riff himself though probably not in the same class.

I’m just a noodler on my sofa mate i’ll never be a great guitarist but I get a lot of enjoyment from it, it can be frustrating but it’s also relaxing because you can loose yourself in it too.

11th December 2020 at 10:15 pm #171852Well, we have a new contender, and to be honest outright winner of worst Christmas song ever, Jon Bon Jovi has done a godawful cover of Fairytale of New York, worst decision since JFK said βlooks like a nice day, letβs take the open top limoβ Jesus Christ what was he thinking…..Pagan

“This Ole House”
“She Drives Me Crazy”
“Pink Champagne”
“Love Attack”
“Lipstick, Powder and Paint”
“Rockin’ The Night Away”
“A Little Boogie Woogie”

14th February 2021 at 8:56 pm #175425Funny enough I read just today that Cliff Richard and Paul McCartney had a fight once, apparently when Cliff was still young he was a bit rough and didn’t like the idea of the Beatles taking over his limelight. Afterwards they became good friends. Before our time so I would never believe it as they appear such nice guys.
