Still only very young I think 48 only, was watching a documentary when 3 geniuses Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix and Jimmy Morrison all died within months of each other and all at a very young age, all overdosed, the music we missed that was still to come from them.

5th March 2019 at 2:17 pm #34950Very sad this seems like suicide following the recent break up of Keith Flints marriage.
The three greats metioned above sadly died due to drug overdoses.
All were far to young and far to talented. RIP.

19th August 2019 at 3:39 am #45784AnonymousBelieve it or not, Hendrix didn’t die from a heroin overdose (like you hear a lot), he was drinking and choked on his vomit.
Nil, was an absolutely massive Oasis fan in my youth. That faded a bit over time I guess, as some of their albums were disappointing (although the last one they released together was quite good).

19th August 2019 at 11:05 am #45805For the life of me I still don’t get the whole “OASIS” thing, it’s amazing how far a Thunderbirds haircut and a pathetically soft hard-man attitude can get you these days…

19th August 2019 at 2:02 pm #45821Mav, I think you will find that they’ve both had their moments and occasionally skated on thin ice, been lucky enough to see both live. Legends of Music!
What about Eric he was in a really bad way but he sorted himself out even with the terrible tragedy of his son Connor to deal with and he’s still playing live at the age of 70 plus and has a lively family now. Fabulous guitarist one of the best ever if you haven’t seen him yet try and get to see him live. Fight for a ticket.?
I was fortunate enough to meet him and Andy Fair Weather- Low in Japan massive moment for me as Eric is one of my all time Guitar heroes

29th August 2019 at 7:58 am #46583Great Album, Great Band, shame we won’t see them play together again despite Dave Grohl’s best efforts to get them back together.
Foo Fighters now they’re a Band and still going strong 25 years later.
Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?
Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?
Has someone taken your faith?
Its real, the pain you feel
You trust, you must
Confess
Is someone getting the best, the best, the best, the best of you?”_____________________________

29th August 2019 at 1:03 pm #46594I just think Noel prefers his own Solo stuff now, and he plays a slightly different genre – a little on the psychedelic side.
Liam on the other hand (and rightly so) is desperate to get them back together as his latest new single suggests.

29th August 2019 at 3:57 pm #46607AnonymousI think Liam’s last album sold a fair bit in the US. If that’s true, he doesn’t need the re-uinion as much as he would have before but ya… TBH, Liam is a prick and Noel has had enough of his shit.
Noels last 2 albums were apparently terrible. I’ve heard bits of his latest I think and it was just bad. Ah yes, I remember the one before it had a few ok songs but nothing special. The first solo album was really good though.
