Nine you do realize the best ever EPL side is in this competition and there is like 14 games to go. If you have been watching Liverpool you’d see we have not been playing well & can’t handle the injuries like c$ty did. I get your trying to be objective or whatever & you want a tight title race as chelski are out of it but saying a feint chance for c$ty is just taking th p***. I think your stirring the pot a bit & going off Nils comments it won’t take much to break someone. Your not fooling me ol mate, I got you sussed.

30th January 2019 at 10:17 pm #32552Ed, I think Higuain is a wild card for Chelsea he’s either going to work out or fail miserably.
Fortunately if he doesn’t work out we can send him back at the end of the season.
It’s unacceptable to lose 4 nil at Bournemouth with all due respect to Bournemouth and a 4th place finish looks miles away with results like that.
Media will be all over Sarri now. Players and management need to come together now and sort things out. Cheers 999

30th January 2019 at 10:18 pm #32553Thought Leicester fully deserved a draw. Iโve no complaints. You get some decisions and some you dnot. Defence looks shaken again.1st real test for us to show a bit of balls but missed a great opportunity.
5 points clear but so so long to go. Worry is we are not playing well and the defence looks rattled
First time we have dropped points to anyone outside the top 6 and it was always going to happen at some stage. Credit to Leicester, played some good stuff st time

30th January 2019 at 10:19 pm #32554Mak champions take advantage of slip ups mate, esp when you don’t get many of them. We just can’t handle injuries as we don’t have the depth. Sadly for us our best team, manager & chance at a title in many years was in the era of the most expensively built squad in history.

30th January 2019 at 10:22 pm #32555The Positive in essence wholeheartedly is to gain 1 point against yesterday’s events.
Maybe not all doom and gloom and Liverpool above all are in a good place.

30th January 2019 at 10:36 pm #32556Oz, complete b*******s mate. I said if you read back that I expected Liverpool to win tonight and that if they did I didn’t think they would be caught with a 7 point lead without Liverpool completely cocked it up and I totally stand by that.
Obviously a draw is a disappointment if you’re a Liverpool fan given the fact that City lost last night but realistically Liverpool are a point further away from City than everyone expected them to be on Monday night.
A 5 point lead for Liverpool is still a significant lead and City remain the outsiders with it all to do and my money is still on Liverpool but the result tonight will have given City a but if hope.
Nil was out of order tonight with what he’s posted and to his credit he’s admitted that I don’t want him to end up talking himself into another ban which is why I suggested he took himself off site.
And I suspect all neutral fans would like to see both City and Liverpool battle for the title right until the end of the season.
But I’m not stirring any pot and you haven’t got me sussed, I’m just giving my opinions on how I see the title race on a football forum and I strongly object to the suggestions you’ve made in your post but I’ll put it down to your own disappointment and frustration tonight and leave it there!!!

30th January 2019 at 10:46 pm #32558I don’t take in essence too deep of rival well wishers. Jason Cundy summed it up all; why would you want your rivals to win it.
Gods honest truth from my part, Manchester City, no problem, just sense though there are harboured feelings from other sets of supporters. It’s how it is I guess. My position is, is that I’d rather people just lay their cards on the table point-blank.
It’s terrible utterly to have to deal with the Media and ‘7’ points. I hate that because my enjoyment and experience has been ruined tonight, utterly. I should be looking at the bigger picture and maybe overnight from sleep, time passed and perspective will allow me that nature.
Anyway, no harm done – just have to live it up. Blaming or taking it out on others isn’t going to help. We need to look at positives and ways to improve and develop persons.

30th January 2019 at 10:56 pm #32559AnonymousOz, it is a shame that we get our stuff together at the same time as the PL has it’s best team ever. I also think that nine is calling it a little too easily, as 5 points is nothing if City get smashing teams again. I fully expect that they will also, hopefully just not yet because I think we’ve got more wobbly performances from that defence ahead.
To give credit to some of the lads, I think only mane and Wijnaldum deserve a pat on the back from tonight. I don’t think the others were necessarily bad but we need to be better than this. City have a lot more than a glimmer of hope. No need to rehash what we need to do but just to say that we have to get back into that Champion mindset. We’ve not been in it for our last 2 games at all but we’ve still collected 4 points from these matches, so that’s something.
We’ve absolutely got to win the next match now though. West Ham, away, on the 4th.

30th January 2019 at 11:06 pm #32560Nil, just to lay my cards on the table I don’t give a flying duck who wins the title I would like to see it go to the wire to keep it interesting after last season though.
Liverpool are still in the driving seat 5 points ahead is a lot when you think that Liverpool have only dropped 11 points over 24 games.
Liverpool had a chance to knock City further back tonight they didn’t take it and they’ve left the door slightly ajar now but they are a point better off and I think they will still go on to win it providing they don’t let City get too close to them and they hold their nerve.
You’ll have to be a Chelsea fan next week though!?

30th January 2019 at 11:43 pm #32565Nine, do you not think youโre lacking strong vocal leaders in that dressing room? This is what I was trying to point out at many top clubs on the โmanager authorityโ thread. A manager has to have strong leaders on the pitch. The manager canโt do it all by himself. I think thatโs partly why Sarri said what he did after the Arsenal loss.

31st January 2019 at 1:19 am #32566Nine my 1st reference to you blaming you for us dropping points was obviously a joke. My point in the 2nd post is you cannot be serious saying c$ty have a “feint hope” due to the 5 point gap. You have seen Liverpool play lately right, far from convincing in a lot of recent games & a bit of luck to boot. With the injuries easing for c$ty they will only get stronger. A feint hope might be needing to win your last 5 or 6 games & relying on the leaders to drop a couple of games, certainly not the most expensively built squad ever 5 points behind with 14 games to go with the leaders not playing particularly well.
Of course I’m disappointed we didn’t win but I’m not in any way surprised, I expected us to have a slump & drop points as our squad isn’t strong enough to compete with c$ty in the EPL over a full season as well as go far in the C/L but I do think your kidding giving c$ty a “feint hope”._____________________________

31st January 2019 at 7:45 am #32567Not really disappointed with the result more the performance and nerves.
Keeper looked shakey. Vvd clearly bwasnt fit. We need Gomez and taa back bigtime.
So long to go and a 5 point lead be huge with 5 games left but not with 14 games left
First real test and the nerves got to us.
We are not playing well and we are not defending well again._____________________________

What’s happening at Chelsea?

31st January 2019 at 8:08 am #32569Not seen a lot of Chelsea so Nine please correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t Sarri playing a very Italian slow paced tippy tappy with with all the time in the world on the ball kinda tactic? And that he’s been found out? Put a player on Jorginho and stop him playing his trillion passes per game.
Will he be gone if he doesn’t get top 4? I’d say likely then Chelsea have to restart all over again.

31st January 2019 at 8:54 am #32570AnonymousI’m wondering if Sarri has lost the dressing room already. You might say it’s too early but it’s never too early when you’re blasting your players in public. I say an interview with hazard and he was asked something about Sarri’s comments and the look on his face said a lot. it was kinda like a “ha don’t mind that idiot” kind of smile. They teach footballers to not say the wrong things etc but that wasn’t the reaction of a player who respects his manager. I’m not giving out about hazard BTW, he was asked directly about sarri’s out of order remarks, so it’s fair game as far as I’m concerned.
Maybe it has nothing to do with any of that, it’s just a thought.
As for Liverpool, ya, we won’t get away with performances like that. We’ll find ourselves behind City in 3 or 4 games, if we continue as we are now. So, 14 games is a world away. City have a great chance of winning the title. I’d say they are 40%. If we get our players back from injury and hit form again then we can get back on track but we don’t need neutral fans padding it (purposefully or (NOT-Nine). It will just lead to more rubbish from the not so neutrals, saying “you slipped again”.
My cousins BF is a Utd fan and he’s been congratulating me on Liverpool winning the title for weeks now. What was the first thing he said after the final whistle yesterday? “Slip #1”.
We’ve never had a single hand on the trophy, so it’s impossible for us to have “slipped up”. It’s the PL, you won’t win every single game.

31st January 2019 at 9:24 am #32572Mak, Iโve never seen so much hatred for us as there is our there. Itโs everywhere. No one wants us to win anything.
People saying we bottled it when there 14 games left. Itโs just ridiculous
I fully expect city to win the league as they have the expierence and the squad

31st January 2019 at 10:18 am #32574I wrote yesterday that saying that the title is in Liverpools hands with 14 games to go[15 @ that time for Pool] was a very childish thing to say.5 points now is nothing, especially with the big teams still to play each-other,add to that that Liverpool did not deserve to win any of the games against Brighton,CP,and last night! What occurred the last 2 nights has resulted to Spurs being let in the title race! Imagine if they didnt have to deal with a colossal amount of injuries to their best players?!

31st January 2019 at 10:25 am #32575Or signing nobody for 12 months, or having our manager linked with everybody, or having no preseason of any note, or playing every single game away from home, or having our worst injury list in years, or having a cock on our shirts…
I personally find it very amusing when everybody says the team 2 points above us after 24 games is the greatest Premiership team the world has ever seen… ๐
