29th January 2019 at 9:53 pm #32412City were poor tonight I’m not sure about a couple of the decisions but if Liverpool win tomorrow night and I’m sure they will its all but over.

29th January 2019 at 9:57 pm #32413Anfield 1989, when we could afford to even lose by 1 goal lol! π
So nothing is still yet sewn up as they say – would be a fabulous night if we can get all 3 points tomorrow π

29th January 2019 at 10:02 pm #32414I had a feeling City would drop points tonight. Iβm not convinced theyβre the same side as last season. I know they had injuries over Christmas but to still lose 3 out of 4 games over that period indicated that there was something deeper that was wrong. Liverpool still have to do the business tomorrow.

29th January 2019 at 10:02 pm #32415Just not City’s night. I thought they did not manage the game well enough but silly mistakes did creep back again. Game over. Put it right for Arsenal please. Ref almost lost control of this game though and that reflected to players performances, should not have, but did thats is why we did not manage it well enough.

29th January 2019 at 10:03 pm #32417Gotta sneaky scary feeling, nothing will be straight-forward and Puel, Vardy and co tomorrow night will try and make life difficult for us. Need our front 3 to bring their shooting boots, and we need to get off to flyer!

29th January 2019 at 10:32 pm #32418Can’t see City being able to pull back 7 points assuming Liverpool win tomorrow night which I think they will. The fat lady will be practicing her scales if Liverpool win tomorrow. π

30th January 2019 at 5:45 am #32419So Iβve given up on predictions, I honestly thought c$ty would go undefeated with all their players coming back from injury, couldnβt pick a team to beat them. What a result for Liverpool, but itβll mean nothing if we donβt get the cookies v Leicester. Still a long way to go & weβve seen us stuff up many times in recent seasons so Iβll take nothing for granted. We are in a great spot though & even Iβm starting to dream, or as Klopp says believe. Thanks Rafa you legend.

30th January 2019 at 6:11 am #32420Great result for Liverpool last night but I’m pretty sure Klopp will ignore it and focus the players on one game at a time. 7 points (if that happens) is a decent lead but all it can take is a couple of defeats for Liverpool and the gap is almost gone. Time to celebrate is 7 points clear with 2 games left!
Only saw the first half of Newcastle-City last night, but City to me looked off the pace a little. Not as intense as usual.

30th January 2019 at 7:30 am #32421AnonymousAlthough I’m delighted that Rafa still thinks he’s under contract, I don’t feel like going overboard. I was already concerned about the Leicester game and that was before I heard that we’ll also most likely be missing Van Dijk.
To say that our defence and general ability to defend was not on point the last day, would be an under-statement. It was a game that really shined a light on what I’ve been saying the whole time (mostly to non-Liverpool supporters). That is that Van Dijk is not the one man defensive solution that the media love to hold him up as. We’ve really missed Gomez, who’s had a set-back and will be out longer (apparently). Fabinho was settling in mid-field and due to the injuries at CB and RB, he’s had to forget that and fill in where he can, which he’s done a good job of but it’s not ideal for our midfield. So, basically we’ve only Robertson left of our first choice back 4 going up against Vardy and co.
Even with all the above and the fact that we’re still missing Wijnaldum and Miler is suspended, i still think we will most likely win. We have a lot of quality in that front 3, if we can just keep Leicester out and feed the ball to them.
We’ve been given a real chance to put more daylight between us and them though, we won’t get many more going on from here so we’ve just got to take this. We have got to be good enough to exploit every opportunity if we’re to be worthy of the PL. It’ that simple.
I know 100% that the old Liverpool would throw this away. This Liverpool just doesn’t give off the same vibes though. These lads are extremely focused. So while I’m worried about Leicesters ability to counter-attack and our defensive and midfield absences, I still just about think we’ll do it because I think those lads believe they are worthy title winners.

30th January 2019 at 7:48 am #32422Totally agree mak ,oz and threeps. Some very good points. None of us will get carried if we win tonight.
Leicester are a tricky team who have beaten city and Chelsea. If the players arenβt up for this then we might aswell give up.
We will see if we have the balls tonight to push on. We will be asked many questions over the new few months and we will see if we can answer them.
Tonight is the first huge test and it will tell us a lot about us.

30th January 2019 at 7:54 am #32423Mak, Gomez has been a huge lost.
He has been excellent.Winji has been our best midfielder and was missed againest palace. He has trained so had vvd so hopefully they both start.
It concerns me that we have let 8 goals in in 5 games and vardy akways worries me. Heβs scored in his last two games at Anfield

30th January 2019 at 7:59 am #32424We were awful last night. By far our worst performance. Just handed the title on a plate to Liverpool.
Referee was as usual rubbish.
No excuses though. Newcastle were dire. We couldnt string rwo decent pases together._____________________________

30th January 2019 at 8:26 am #32426Indeed folks, just stay level-headed. Need to get through tonight with the hope of 3 points – not played a game in ages.
7 points would be great because we do still have 2/3 tricky games where we could quite easily drop points.
It most definitely isn’t over and still a long way to go. The way the Media are behaving Klopp is handling well so far and if anything, this has been a strength to us.

30th January 2019 at 8:26 am #32427Without a doubt, that’s the Top 2 sorted (perhaps a switch, who knows), and 3rd thru 6th sorted, with some probable changes. Getting a bit spooked about tonight, but I think the boys will be up for it, a bit of payback from the defeat they gave us earlier in the season (the first of our “thrown it away games”). No Sir Harry or Dele is a worry, but as along as our Wee Viking fella is playing I think the chances will come. A few more Van the Man whipping in those crosses like he was against Tranamre please, no idea why he wasn’t doing it against Palace. They were some decent balls…

30th January 2019 at 8:50 am #32428If Liverpool win tonight and I think they will fairly comfortably then I think the 7 point lead will be too much for City to overturn against this Liverpool side.
Liverpool would have to seriously muck up to lose it from there and I just can’t see that happening.
Looks like another procession.?

Wow! Easy there 27,there are still 14 games left to be played[15 for Liverpool],and they still have to play United,Chelsea and Spurs, but as we all saw it last night,no game is a gimme anymore! The PL is an unforgivable league!

30th January 2019 at 10:09 am #32439Kylie-But if your boys win tonight then surely even the 2nd is withing the reach for your lads? You would then be only 2 pnts behind.
