Gutsy performance from Chelsea again well structured tactically. Back 4 and Kante were excellent nice goal from Pedro. Puts us back in with a chance of making the top 4.

27th February 2019 at 10:01 pm #34528Ed, you guys come across as growing stronger. I think next season with Ole given a permanent role, the League will be even harder – can see United back to challenging.

27th February 2019 at 10:02 pm #34529Mikus, I don’t see it being an issue in terms of attracting players. Granted, he’s not a big name in football management but he’s had a very decent playing career and has clearly already had a very positive effect on the current players with a few tricky soon-to-expire contracts being signed since Ole took the reigns, a clear indication that players enjoy playing under him. Big players elsewhere will notice the likes of Pogba thriving under Ole and that will surely help attract the players we need.

27th February 2019 at 10:06 pm #34531AnonymousAfter a lacklustre performance versus Utd and questions over our ability to handle the pressure, this was what Klopp will have been asking the lads for. Getting 5 will have done our GD the world of good and with it looking more and more important by the day, you couldn’t ask for a better scoreline really.
To not get too ahead of ourselves though, it was just 3 points and there were times when we could have conceded. Alisson did well when called upon, which was a few times. Matip had a few really good moments now in fairness to him. Overall i think he played really well, even if I gave out about one thing that he did. Special mention to Fabinho who was at the heart of it today. Shame we couldn’t get Van Dijk a hat-trick, just so we could make the joke that midfield might not be scoring enough but Van Dijk is stepping in to sort that out too 😛
Just one match though, with City also winning. In the end of the day, all we’ve done is tell City that we’re still in the conversation, with plenty more talking left to be done.

27th February 2019 at 10:06 pm #34532Elsewhere big win for Liverpool but still only 1 point in it thanks to an Aguero penalty.
Good win for United given their injuries and Palace isn’t an easy place to go, big win for Arsenal the North London Derby should be a cracker now.

27th February 2019 at 10:09 pm #34533Mak, hopefully for at least the time being, the media will go easy on Klopp and Liverpool 😉

27th February 2019 at 10:11 pm #34534An Arsenal win or even a draw at the weekend well and truly opens up the race for 3rd and 4th

27th February 2019 at 10:12 pm #34535We’ll see Ed. Don’t doubt the club is still a big pull. But players are now generally attracted to the manager. And however good things look to be, and however well Solskjaer is doing, he is still unproven. Getting top 4 obviously be a big help. What would you rather have – top 4 or FA Cup? (If you couldn’t have both). Think top 4 probably more helpful.

27th February 2019 at 10:18 pm #34538Yeah always a tough one. Would love to get a trophy. If I had to choose and in this particular season, I’d probably go top 4 just because it’s such an essential summer window for us if Ole is to get the job and getting top 4 helps us get the players we need.

27th February 2019 at 10:26 pm #34539AnonymousYa, going forward, it would definitely be better for Utd to get top 4 over an FA Cup win. Players might be drawn to big name managers to some extent but Utd still have HUGE draw power and being back in the CL will be an indication that they are on the the right track. Not just to players but sponsors and the like. Utd’s already super strong financial clout will get a shot in the arm, justifying more heavy investment. They are finishing the season on title challenging form, I’m not too worried about them

27th February 2019 at 10:34 pm #34541It’s not like Ole is unknown he’s a United legend and United are a massive Club if they give Ole the job and I think they are likely to now I don’t think he will have any problems in attracting players top 4 is probably more important than Ole but I’m still hoping Chelsea pip them to it.?

27th February 2019 at 10:37 pm #34542Nine, I’m not convinced there’s only 1 top 4 spot to fight for anymore. Spurs are no longer looking as safe in 3rd as they were a few weeks back

27th February 2019 at 11:06 pm #34547Jeez, that’s a very soft penalty. Just because Silva ran in between 2 West Ham players.

27th February 2019 at 11:21 pm #34548Pedro reminds me of when Liverpool bought in Maxi Rodriquez. Not a world class player but a very effective one and a great player to have in your squad.

28th February 2019 at 6:41 am #34549AnonymousMr Banjo I no longer think Kane is a good sportsman or nice guy, he has been exposed as yet another football ruffian. You need to be able to take a loss to be a higher person.
