Even if it was a misunderstanding, Sarri still came across as very weak. Why didn’t he go to Kepa on the pitch to find out exactly what was going on? Ultimately, as time dragged on and there was more pressure to make a decision whether to sub him or not, he folded and gave up. It’s a bit like a teacher backing down from ordering a misbehaving pupil to leave the classroom (or assuming he was misbehaving but giving up anyway before finding out the truth). So really the fault lies with Sarri not Kepa because Sarri failed to find out the facts, assumed something else, but folded anyway. All the PR in the world can’t mask that.

It looks terrible. There’s no way of sugar coating this. It looks absolutely terrible for sari and I’d drop the keeper for a few games to show him who Is boss.

I’d be mortified if I was sari. It just looks bad. Really bad on him

Sean agree mate. I don’t understand how this can be separated from all the other factors brought together to form an assessment on Sarri’s season overall.

Surely if a player refuses to obey an order then that raises doubt. If Kepa is installed tomorrow night, that’s a pretty poor show.

Mikus, I agree whilst not absolving Kepa of his part in this I don’t think Sarri helped the situation and it should never have got to where it did.

Wouldn’t disagree with that Sean but of course the other side to that coin is that Sarri knows Chelsea need to qualify for the CL and leaving Kepa out might hamper that qualification attempt which ultimately might cost him his job.

But it’s Sarri’s call and he says he’s still deciding as to whether to play Kepa against Spurs or not.

Looks like Trent, Shaqs and Keita will start for us tomorrow night in place of Milner, Hendo and Firmino. This should more than boost our attack and feeling optimistic on this, I’ll go for 2.5 goals at the very least – should be a Top Night.
