Maybe that ruthlessness will come when we actually get over the line and win something
We havenβt won the league in 29 years. People need to relax.
4 years ago we had one cl appearance in 6 years. Prospective is needed.

28th February 2019 at 11:08 am #34573Sean perhaps you are right. I have just looked back at it. VAR might have caught it but in terms of the Wolves goal earlier in the season not only was it handball it was also offside. My annoyance was that there were two offences one of which should have been picked up.
I hope next season might be better. VAR is not perfect but there will be many more correct decisions eg when we played Liverpool last year in the CL._____________________________

28th February 2019 at 11:17 am #34574Sean, when youβre going for the title every small detail and fault will come under the microscope because it is in the finer margins that teams win leagues and unfortunately for us, as well as we have done, we havenβt capitalised in the moments we needed to. Now yes weβre still top, but without that authority on the pitch we are struggling to pull away. This is more of an observation than a criticism.

28th February 2019 at 11:31 am #34576PS The profits is after tax and interest ie amount available for distribution or invwstment or indeed Sanchez(only joking)
The Β£502m is the long term borrowings. There may be a brexit effect in there with sterling depreciation._____________________________

28th February 2019 at 1:59 pm #34578When you are going for the title as Mikus points out your under the microscope look at all the Spurs talk over the last few weeks.
There are far too many knee jerk reactions to individual results there will be lots of twists and turns yet before the title is finally decided and I still think progress in the CL might play a part too.

28th February 2019 at 2:31 pm #34579Who the fuck takes P.Merson seriously anymore? And how/why the fuck SSN keeps employing him? He always seems drunk or under the influence of narcotics,to me @ least. Can he even speak English properly? C.Burley is the most honest TV pundit -ever! Doesnt give a flying fuck, just gives his honest opinion-no matter what! Not like pussies like Le Tiss and J.Rednkapp!

28th February 2019 at 2:41 pm #34582We have 69 points,”
“We could have had 75 but we are having a really good season. Let’s enjoy the ride and see where it takes us.”
Good advice from Klopp.

28th February 2019 at 2:51 pm #34583Sky Sports provide fantastic coverage of the PL and other major sports too as well running a 24 hour Sports News Service.
It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for including fantastic coverage of F1 , Golf including brilliant coverage of the Ryder Cup, Cricket even NBA and American Football.
Pundits are paid to give their views it’s not official Sky opinion and those views won’t always sit happily with fans of different Club’s .
At least Merson hasn’t played for Liverpool there are far too many ex Liverpool players employed as pundits giving pro Liverpool views pre during and post games.

28th February 2019 at 2:54 pm #34586The Premier League is hyped up anyway and simply a money-making machine and a marketing ploy on the back of it’s original-foundation in giving armchair audience more access in showing live matches.
That’s all it is. It’s took a numpty like me this long to realise that! I just like watching my team play and would even if we were in Division 4. It’s nice to have the dΓ©cor and the ‘glamour’ don’t get me wrong, but I growing more and more in being put off by the excessive broadcasting coverage of punditry, analysis, and news.
These people think they have a knowledge of football, but they’re just going where the money is. Women in football, another subject, although I welcome them, why no interest in Championship or Non-league for example? Reason, purely because of the glitz.

28th February 2019 at 2:58 pm #34588Nine @ 2:51, the-stay-at-homes soon get fed up of round the clock service. You really think Sky is that good? Then each to their own mate.
It’s good for those with a busy working lifestyle that may not have data on their phones, so they can catch up at home with a nice cuppa.
On the whole they are good for tv, broadband and phone because Virgin for example is just plain bad in service and price.
