5th December 2019 at 9:30 am #55507Threeps, Utd’s midfield is bang average at the best of times so being without Pogba and McTominay for such long spells has been tough to say the least. Say what you want about Pogba and his inconsistency but he’s easily out most creative player in the middle of the park and is often the one to get those long diagonal balls hit early to Rashford, James and Co. Without him and the drive of McTominay, who has been a revelation, we’re so poor in midfield.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and risk the wrath of the Liberools fans but I honestly think McTominay is better than Henderson. There I’ve said it ?

5th December 2019 at 9:30 am #55509“Everton are slithering into further turmoil their performance against Liverpool was PATHETIC Marco Silva looks a broken man and its now a matter of when not if he loses his job”
Not a headline anyone would want to read I suspect Chelsea may be facing a bit of New Manager bounce on Saturday at Goodison which is never an easy place to go.

5th December 2019 at 9:39 am #55511βThe best team won on the night. We grew into each half. Disappointed with the manner of the goals, two crosses.
βWe want to be a passing and moving team, but we didnβt move it quick enough.
βWe sat off too much and allowed them to play. Heaton made a superb save from the free-kick.β
βI thought there were three Kanteβs on the pitch. Chelsea have top players,β

5th December 2019 at 9:49 am #55513But Ed even with Pogba pulling the creative strings you’ve struggled against low block teams. It’s not just about the occasional defence splitting pass, it’s about moving the opposition about, and for that you need more than one midfielder with an ounce of ability. The midfield is a unit and Utd’s even with Pogba and “better than Henderson” McTomminay is broken, it doesn’t work effectively. (unlike Liverpools with Mr Henderson being an integral part of it I may add) π
Plus you have fullbacks that can’t attack, but if space is there you do have attackers that can exploit it.

5th December 2019 at 9:57 am #55517Can we please play the big teams every week? Only City left & we havent lost to any of the top teams, beating Chelsea]twice so far],Lesta and Spudsies, drawing to Arse & Liberoools.
3ps:You got it all wrong matey, our fullbacks in AWB & Williams can all attack, their defending is another thing entirely.Mind you,the young chap Williams can do both,so far….

5th December 2019 at 9:57 am #55518AnonymousEverton scored 2 and for a time quieted a very on form Liverpool. I really dont like the headlines that just want a manager fired, so they can get more clicks etc… he deserves to go but not based on last night.
I remember the last time that shaqiri and origi were on fire. It put us into the CL final.
There is just something and these lads. Usually they are not good enough but sometimes they are absolutely unplayable.
This on top of Mane, Trent, Robertson, wijnaldum and even a brilliant but shket cameo from Firmino…. I think he went straight to that defenders home and made sweet sweet love to his wife after buying and selling him on the pitch d
For that amazing cut back. Then there is Mane. You can’t defender against him when he’s on fire. Yes, he missed 2 but was still INCREDIBLE.
I know the other 3 all won but I’m starting to believe.
Sorry , on phone.

5th December 2019 at 10:03 am #55521Wow! What a sublime night of football @ Anfield last night! Great to watch for the neutrals and it could easily have been 8-5.Surely Silva has to go now?!

5th December 2019 at 10:12 am #55522Oh don’t get me wrong Threeps. Not for a minute going with the old “imagine where we’d be if Pogba wasn’t injured”. That’s what squads are for. Our just isn’t good enough. Pogba isn’t the answer to our many problems. Not are more attacking full backs. We have much depper problems than that.
Wan Bissaka is definitely improving in that area though. He seems to lack the courage and confidence to go forward. Needs to work on his crossing. Brandon Williams looks a great prospect at LB though.

5th December 2019 at 10:14 am #55523Mav not seen much (any to be honest!) of Williams I have to admit but AWB has never looked comfortable going forward to me, strange when he used to be a winger. I rarely see Utd create a 2v1 overload against opposition fullbacks.

5th December 2019 at 10:39 am #55526united were annoyingly solid last night, no major issues and the spuds looked oddly languid and a bit crap comapred to the previous few Maureen games

5th December 2019 at 10:40 am #55527Dunno Waspy, I think Spuds played (or didn’t play at all! π ) their part in making YooUtd look better than they were. Neither team were great, but Spuds were even worse.

5th December 2019 at 10:56 am #555293ps-Both our fullbacks are very good going forward but only one can do both-Williams.Has been superb so far this season, long may it continue.
Waspy-That was our best game of the season so far, restricted the Spudsies to just one chance from which DA scored,Kane & Son created nothing all game,Moura was left wandering like aheadless chicken all night long.Wish we could play Chelsea & Spudsies every single week.I havent seen United play so good for a long time.#fuckJose

5th December 2019 at 11:02 am #55531Buffy-I havent enjoyed watching United so much like last night for a very long time, even when we beat Chelsea 4-0 @ the start of the season.Last night we should have been 4 up in the 1st half alone,Greenwood,James and Rashaldo were electrifying all night long, didnt give Spudsies geriatric for a defence a single second to realise whats hit em,and thats with our best player still missing.
ps:they will make a huge mistake if they renew Vertonghen & Aldi.

5th December 2019 at 11:14 am #55535“Silva has been under pressure for a number of weeks and talkSPORT claim a decision has been made to sack the Portuguese boss.
A conference call between Everton board members took place this morning and it was decided the club should head in a new direction.
Former manager David Moyes, who was in charge of the Merseyside club between 2002-13, is the favourite to replace Silva.
Ex-attacker Tim Cahill is also rumoured to be returning as the Scotβs assistant.”
Out of the frying pan and into the fire?

5th December 2019 at 11:25 am #55539Waspy-AWB is actually poor defending, like Shaw a bit.He is good going forward and has got legs like a spider that stretch. His crossing is absolutely abysmal but he is very good attacking that right flank.Williams has been brilliant doing both.
