Ake was never a Chelsea Academy product imo he played forthe Academy but Chelsea bought him at 16 from Feyenoord. Same can be said of Christensen too.

Callum Hudson Odoi who came on tonight is a genuine Chelsea Academy product and has been at the club from aged 8.

Ed, that comment is just an insult really. We didn’t even play Van Dijk Tuesday Night for what ever reason, and we were held Ransom anyway for his transfer fee.

All in reality a farce and smoke and mirrors in which Southampton played a blinder and rinsed us out (probably in their mind as rightfully for keep pestering on their front door).

Chucky, being serious for a moment Chelsea have a lot of good young prospects mostly English who have been at the club since age 8 Callum Hudson Odoi is the best of the best and has a real chance imo. But it’s still a massive massive leap and only time will tell.

United’s starting 11 featured a midfield and attack with five players signed for a total of £285m. Even as a set of names on a piece of paper it was a thrilling display of power and muscle. It took 11 seconds for Spurs to put a fist through this.

Pogba was anonymous last night but oddly played out of position after impressing so much further forward this season. I know people will say “he should be able to impress in any position at that price” but it’s just not the case. Henry was an average winger but became world class when moved more centrally, for example.

The sooner Jose understands that he needs to build everything around Pogba in a more advanced position the better. He must still by far have the best assists per game ratio in the league so he’s doing something right.

I’m sure it was only a couple of weeks ago when these findings were published, United were actually ahead of both Real and Barca when it came to generating the most revenue.

It’s not so much of the issue of how they use their money on players transfer fees and wages, I just really find dis-heartening that at times we as Liverpool struggle to compete when we’re going in for somebody as a potential target.
