Only disappointment other than the injury to Silva is Chelsea should have scored more goals but they played some nice football. Jose could well throw his toys out of the pram tonight post match.๐

4th February 2021 at 10:07 pm #174787Not a particularly great performance but it’s 3 vital points, this is far from Chelsea’s best starting 11 it almost feels like we gone backwards but again its all about the points.

4th February 2021 at 10:07 pm #174788“Where’s it all gone wrong” are becoming cliche`s. It’s not like the resolutions will be infused into the players overnight.

5th February 2021 at 7:33 am #174791Firstly, congrats to the Chelsea lads on here.I can only go on what my wife & daughter told me but they reckons Spurs were less than f …… useless, 3 losses on the trot, first time since 2012, how much longer can Levy stick with a manager the players don’t want and won’t play for.

5th February 2021 at 8:28 am #174792Commiserations Shiney. I couldn’t make out why Jose didn’t bring Bale on and I understand your frustrations with Mourinho and his current tactics.

5th February 2021 at 9:09 am #174795There’s more away matches won than ever I’m led to believe. It’s just not the same without supporters at the ground with their presence and vocals.
There are injuries, a hell of a lot but not fully recovered. What sort of training regimes are these players having to follow?

5th February 2021 at 10:14 am #174798Must admit it’s hard to understand how players at their physical best ages can suffer injuries at training, never used to happen to us unless a rare occasion their was a real bad tackle, yes when we got older we started getting pulled hamstrings and calves and achilles as well but then we were no longer playing in the first team.

5th February 2021 at 11:11 am #174799Blaze , I’m guessing you never played regularly in the PL and the CL with the packed fixture schedule that there is this season which means players are playing every two or three days at the very highest level. Not counting internationals.

5th February 2021 at 11:13 am #174800No idea Brian but if that’s the case there won’t be very much money going into his bank account not that he needs it anyway.๐
Would he have come on that basis though given he could pick up all of his wages just by playing golf in Madrid?

5th February 2021 at 11:35 am #174801Bale strikes me as a typical Levy signing. It created initial excitement and hype with no big financial outlay but he has failed to deliver. I understand the frustrations with the way Jose has played (which is quite often what he does when he doesn’t fully trust his players), but is Levy still not the root cause of the main problem here? Though let’s be honest, Levy & Mourinho were never a good fit. I think both of them were in somewhat of a desperate situation and were both using each other in a marriage of convenience to try and be in the bigtime again.

5th February 2021 at 2:45 pm #174803We are seeing exactly what jose is like. A hypocrite of the highest order.
Smart comments about opposing teams abd digs at his players. Only going to end one way

5th February 2021 at 3:35 pm #174807I could never see Spurs and Jose working out he and Levy are like Oil and Water and the transfer budget was always going to be limited which would never suit Jose. I think Mikus is right Bale was a Levy signing and Jose doesn’t seem to want to play him even when he could make a difference off the bench like last night.
I think Jose’s tactics are a reflection of how he sees the strength of the squad and he’s fallen back into his pragmatic mode also he seems to have gone out of his way to fall out with Dele Alli.
Also seeminglythe majority of Spurs fans want Jose gone
Ultimately a split is inevitable but I guess you could say that about the majority of managerial appointments sooner or later.๐

5th February 2021 at 3:35 pm #174808I canโt see Bale being on a paid when played deal, more likely Spurs pay his wages when he plays and Madrid when he doesnโt…..Pagan

5th February 2021 at 3:39 pm #174809Yes this season is very compacted, so there are two games a week for most teams, but thatโs what it is, managers canโt complain that their players are being over played and need rest as theyโre the ones picking them, it used to be called squad rotation……Pagan

5th February 2021 at 3:47 pm #174810Sean, late response from last night re the penalty, in todayโs game itโs a penalty as there was contact, was there enough to send him to ground, I think not. As I said Tiny Weener did well to get in between Dier and the ball knowing full well that there would be some contact, he just made sure the ref knew….Pagan

5th February 2021 at 4:13 pm #174811Cheers Sean.
On Klopp’s comment I agree just focus on the games ahead and if you can turn it around no point complaining about what might have been or could have been.
I’m surprised he said it but this is not a normal season and I guess Klopp is understandably frustrated with all the problems that have beset Liverpool this season and he carries the heavy burden of the fans expectations on his shoulders too which even without everything else may have been a tad too high. Cheers 9’s

5th February 2021 at 4:13 pm #174812Exactly Pagan no excuse for players getting tired, there’s 25 players to choose from and they don’t need to train every day, it’s a new world order in more ways than one.
