The problem Jose is now having is a result of his short shelf life at any given club. He’s now run out of clubs that were just short of winning their respective leagues and is now having to take jobs where the target is a lot further away from the starting point. Two sayings spring to mind, “you can’t turn lead into gold” “you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear”……Pagan

29th January 2021 at 5:10 pm #174562CL places are going to be very competitive this season there’s no assurances for anyone.
Spurs are closer to winning silverware the CL Final aside than they’ve been since 2008.
Jose has to mould the team based on what he has and who he can afford to bring in.
I suspect Spurs fans will accept a more pragmatic approach in tactics providing they win some silverwear.
Thoughts Shiney? You’re closer to all of this than any of us

29th January 2021 at 5:23 pm #174565It makes you think, “Sky 4” or 6 is long gone and there’s more than ever a feel of a level playing field which above all is healthy, exciting and competitive for a Top Flight League.

29th January 2021 at 6:02 pm #174568Hi 9, My thoughts on Jose are very simple ,I don’t want him at Spurs the sooner he goes the better, today would be good . When you have a decent attack you don’t play 1-7-3 vs anyone but he does, and here’s his results :
Newcastle dropped two points from leading, West Ham dropped 2 points from leading,Crystal Palace dropped 2 points from leading,Wolves dropped 2 points from leading,Fulham dropped 2 points from leading.
I can see the problem, it doesn’t feckin work ,that’s 10 points dropped from winning positions.
He has never played our best X1 as he’s too frightened , I don’t mind losing a game if we have our best possible team on the pitch and get outplayed, but his team for last night had me asking one question, can I have his dealers number ???_____________________________

29th January 2021 at 6:45 pm #174570Sean that’s what I thought about the handball. Dier handled it first. Clearly I don’t understand this rule.
PS How do Dier and Pickford get picked for England_____________________________

29th January 2021 at 8:29 pm #174572Selectively blinded and uncaring in nature Adlab. Dyer was all over Firmino.
When I’ve played football, I’ve never any thought or intent to challenge any individual in that fashion,
VAR clearly flawed.

29th January 2021 at 8:45 pm #174573Shiney, I understand the misgivings mate and to be fair you were very unsure of the Jose appointment from the very beginning.
If you reflect the views of the Spurs faithful Jose’s could be in for a tough time more so when fans eventually get into the grounds.
Mind you a couple of trophies in the trophy cabinet might change a few Spurs fans minds albeit I suspect not yours. Cheers 9’s
