41pts…do you think we are safe from relegation!!!!!!!!
Odd when you look at the table, Liverpool have better. For/against goals but trail Utd…Points that matter i suppose_____________________________

26th January 2021 at 11:59 pm #174482Listened to both sets of Managers of Saints and Gunners; both raised the point (valid) of pre-season preparation and lacking of it inflicting physical strain on players and therefore causing injuries.
It is an unusual season; almost as if it’s being compressed and it’s effectively down to having the best squad depth, endurance, capabilities and being able to deliver.

27th January 2021 at 12:00 am #174483All away victories from the 4 fixtures played – wonder if that’s some sort of a trend that will funnel through to the rest of the midweek games 🙂

27th January 2021 at 8:10 am #174485Brian, it’s not just the points difference City’s goal difference is miles better than anyone else’s too which is worth another point if needed and Aguero, KDB and Walker are still to come back in too. It might be my imagination but Pep looks even more relaxed than usual this season. Cheers 9’s

27th January 2021 at 9:20 am #174488The number of away victories must be a function of no crowds and thus no impact on referees.
Any one of the top six can win this. It only takes a good/bad run to make a difference._____________________________

27th January 2021 at 3:01 pm #174496Adlab, it’s not just the referees that may be affected, don’t forget the modern footballers are used to having their egos massaged by adoring fans, and opposition players sometimes encounter a more hostile atmosphere. Remove this and most of the home advantage has gone….Pagan

27th January 2021 at 3:36 pm #174497Nine…maybe….but I think Augerro will not be back, or if he is it will be limited to end of season and to get back to his former status will be very hard. KDB is a miss but we are doing OK without him as well. We will drop points somewhere along the way, like other teams will, I cannot see anybody with a sustained run like City and Liverpool had in previous seasons. I think I may narrow my top 6 to top 4 for the run in. Despite all the disadvantages of the season, I think it has been a good season to date for the public and neutral fans. I also think Walker has found a serious challenger in Cancello, I would prefer the latter so I do not think he is automatic anymore. The key aspects to me of us winning the title is to keep the defensive performance up, Stones and Dias in particular but the work of Gundogan and Bernardo real work horses with some flair. Rodri is improving on his game as well. I despair over mahrez and sterling, maybe irrational. Sterling could become a world class finisher if he went by instinct of a predator rather than having to think about what he is doing. Mahrez..is just a simple case of which Mahrez turns up. We are in with a chance, that is all i would say at this stage

27th January 2021 at 8:55 pm #174506We had it on the Radio at work as an update during the Chelsea-Wolves game; sounded like a thriller Sean. In an cheeky kind of way, that result made me smile 🙂 I thought it was just Liverpool 😀
Settling in at home and the United current score line at the moment although good from our point of view, but too good too be true. Been here before many times.
Kinda glad Everton are beating Leicester.

27th January 2021 at 9:18 pm #174508Utd have been poor but where was VAR tonight? Their keeper jumps into Maguire and they get a foul so our goal is disallowed then Sharp shoves De Gea for their goal.
Watch Sharp come in behind De Gea

27th January 2021 at 9:31 pm #174509No way at all Ed. De Gea played for that.
If you merely brushed past somebody on your travels, that’s ‘assault’. And this is how far the modern game has descended.

27th January 2021 at 9:37 pm #174510Not sure what you’re saying Nil. That De Gea dived? It was more of a foul than the one leading to our disallowed goal, that’s for sure.
Watch that second angle and follow their number 10. Blatantly shoves him

27th January 2021 at 9:52 pm #174512Or probably not 😁. This is Utd all over under Ole though. Win the tough games then massively struggle in the games that should be straightforward home wins.
