16th December 2020 at 10:20 pm #172288We were more clinical in terms of chances. But had Jose had a Diego Costa like he did at Chelsea, he’ll think a player like that would have converted some of those chances tonight. Spurs perhaps just lacking one more of those players to take that final step. But they’ll still have a strong season.

16th December 2020 at 10:22 pm #172289AnonymousSure but had we been as clinical as we usually are, we’d have buried them, even if they had a Costa up front. Our shooting was absolutely dreadful tonight. Jose’s tyle of play it to limit efforts but we were getting them for fun regardless. this is the apex of the match.

16th December 2020 at 10:53 pm #172292Lads, they already have the best attacking duo in Europe right now and that’s the best they could do against your makeshift centre back partnership
Jose can say what he wants but if both teams took their chances pool would have won by a bigger margin its just hard for him to take because his team gave all they had and almost got away with a point.

16th December 2020 at 11:14 pm #172296AnonymousYa Im watching his post match interview now. he’s insane if he think Spurs deserved to win. He wants his chances to be taken but fails to understand that we had many more chances that we utterly failed to take. This mentality is not productive. he’s always had it, so I assume that once he cools off, he is more objective about it because you wouldnt succeed if you couldnt do this.

16th December 2020 at 11:16 pm #172297AnonymousWow, why on earth did Jose feel the need to stress that it was actually 5 of them that were in the CL final? he was so quick with it too… I dunno, that’s just off. Im glad he isnt managing us, he’s great fun when things are going well but he’s a cretin when he loses.

17th December 2020 at 12:35 am #172303AnonymousDefinitely Mav, well so far away. there have been seasons where they’ve fallen away after being just as good. As Jose would be the first to point out though, only 5 of those players remain ๐
I have just come back from watching a few Youtube videos though and I have to say, the bitterness from a fair few Liverpool fans is incredible. Going on about how VAR couldnt rob us this time etc (literally not making any sense). The suggestion from them is that Son was offside. Now I will admit that at first, I definitely thought he was off but its just the white coloured gear. He’s 100% onside. The majority of Liverpool fans obviously agree that it was onside but these few clowns…
The most amusing comment though was from a Spurs fan who said Liverpool were lucky that Spurs didnt have their shooting boots on. then in caps : VERY LUCKY
Hilarious given how if we did there would be nothing left of Spurs. Oh dearest internet, dont ever change.

17th December 2020 at 6:48 am #172307Weird isn’t it Mak. Had that stayed 1-1 yesterday, winning our 2 games in hand would have had us level on points with Liverpool and Spurs at the top, even.
Top 4 this season is anyone’s guess. Feel like I need to revise my earlier top 3 prediction of 1.City, 2.Chelsea, 3.Liverpool. Pushed for a prediction now, I’d probably say 1.Liverpool, 2.City, 3.Spurs with Chelsea sneaking 4th. Still think City’s big squad will see them recover to get second.

17th December 2020 at 7:04 am #172308AnonymousThe reason United is so near top despite playing badly is cause everyone else is dropping points quicker than flushing a toilet, Who would have though Arsenal would be overjoyed with a home draw against Southampton. Chelsea also drew with them but they were bitterly disappointed with the result. But it looks like Liverpool will eventually pull away with City a far 2nd and the rest is anyone’s guess.

1)This is utterly mind-blowing.
2)You need to update that Spurs part ๐

17th December 2020 at 7:52 am #172310Liveroools away form is poor lads abd thatโs why Iโm not convinced by us. We concede far to many chances. I thought we had taken a few steps back but in recent ganes we are playing very high and gifting teams chances.
We canโt persist with this when playing our 4th and 5th choice centre backs. We will be caught out eventually
Still we played some excellent football last night againest a brick wall. Much better game then I thought it would be.

17th December 2020 at 8:00 am #172311Came on here last night to congratulate the Liverpool lads on their win, but after reading through the posts by an angry keyboard warrior larging it, I decided to wait till today rather than get a ban.. Well done Liverpool fully deserved , take no notice of Jose he talks bollocks he was just pissed his master plan didn’t work. I can’t see the title going anywhere but back to Liverpool, I just hope we manage to hang on in there playing Jose’s anti-football.

17th December 2020 at 8:49 am #172313The game wasnโt bitter but far right many of these pool fans are
No point watching games when you get minute by minute commentary with lots of vitriol thrown in for good measurePains me to say it but spurs look good and played well had the best chances and should have won based on their game plan even tho itโs not the prettiest
If you donโt have the Liverpool players and manager the rest of us bar maybe city when they remember how to score, have to play negative and very defensively solid
Well done spuds and good win for pool who always play to the end
Donโt worry shiney mate it could be worse Iโd swap positions in a heartbeat ๐คฃ
Championship for us next year
Great win by Leeds to hell of a game that

17th December 2020 at 8:56 am #172314Sean, I don’t know a Spurs supporter who thought we could sit back and defend against your front 3 for 90 mins, the crazy thing is when we did have a go we looked dangerous , but sadly that’s not Jose’s way of playing.
