Not the best it has to be said, but precious 3 points and much needed. Could have been a different scoreline, so can’t complain from that point of view – we’ll take the Win. Thank You!!!!!

19th October 2022 at 9:33 pm #200117Lloris unfortunate with the deflected goal but it had been coming for a while. Spurs need to come out and try to nick one now so should open up.

19th October 2022 at 9:35 pm #200118I donβt think spurs know to come out and play when they go behind Ed

19th October 2022 at 9:45 pm #200119This is why realistically, Liverpool have a job on their hands making the Top 4.
Don’t think though for a second, Man City have it any easier; and the ‘walk the league’ slogan. United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal!!!!!

19th October 2022 at 9:47 pm #200120Utd have been really good tonight against a good Spurs team. Spurs not good enough again in a big away game. They were poor against Chelsea, Arsenal and now us.

19th October 2022 at 9:51 pm #200121Ye agree Ed. No balls for a fight at a tough away ground. Terrible really

19th October 2022 at 10:01 pm #200122Not something you’d associate with a Conte team is it Sean? At the very least you’d expect passion and fight even if it’s not particularly proactive football.

19th October 2022 at 10:06 pm #200124Spurs are generally solid with some very good players here and there, but I just think they lack characters and top quality throughout the team to take them up a notch. Hence they can fade in these big away games.

19th October 2022 at 10:36 pm #200126Sean, the last 5 years net spends are the most relevant in a now situation imo and City have changed their transfer expenditure over the last 5 years.
I give Klopp great credit for what he’s built at Liverpool and its to his credit that Liverpool have competed with City over the last few seasons eliminating them from the CL,winning the PL and the CL and pushing them so close in the PL last season.

19th October 2022 at 10:49 pm #200127Old Trafford is becoming a tough place to get something. Only wins so far in all competitions for Brighton and Real Sociedad. This was one of the obvious problems of fear that was lost for opposition teams to come down and play with more freedom.
A Solid Building Block Revitalized me thinks. Credit to Ten Hag.

19th October 2022 at 10:53 pm #200128The reality in relation to Tottenham is a repeat pattern for them season after season coming up short against certain opposition teams either matching them or greater in quality. With that in mind, they can still boast of 3rd place with 23 points and 2 defeats.

20th October 2022 at 9:00 am #200129Why is the last 5 years more relevant nine because city have to follow the rules? Sorry mate donβt understand that at all. Why not go back to when pep and kloop both joined?
Pep had a net spend of over 450m. Thereβs no comparisonThey already had spent millions previous to 5 years. Sorry I just donβt get the argument at all and I think threeos is spot on. People twist it to suit their agenda not Klopp. Crazy we are even debating this mste to be honest

20th October 2022 at 9:20 am #200131Sean, we all know that City were big spenders previously historically out spending Liverpool but that is no longer the case.
Klopp claimed he couldn’t compete with City and that might have been true previously but but based on the last 5 years Klopp has been able to compete with City financially and he’s certainly been able to compete with City on the field of play given what Liverpool have won and how they’ve competed with City over the last few seasons particularly in the PL.
We’re not going to agree on this Sean so let’s just agree to disagree.

20th October 2022 at 9:22 am #200132People don’t widen the context; it’s easy to criticize Liverpool, but they’ve been the only team near enough over the last 5 years that’s actually challenged Man City.
Where were the others? There Trophies here and there won from other teams and recognition rightly deserved, but I refer to the League in particular.
90+ points on both occasions yet missing out. We gave it our all, yet it just seems like another Manchester team all over every year but in Blue colours dominating the league.
Klopp admitted effectively he can’t compete with that. I thought personally he was open and honest, yet he’s been blasted for his thoughts.

20th October 2022 at 9:27 am #200133The problem with the financially doped clubs is the simple fact that just because they’ve been “playing by the rules” now, doesn’t excuse the years of not playing by the rules. Very simple.
Would anybody accpet a marathon runner who used a cab for the first 25 miles, and then jogged the rest yelling “Look, I’m jogging like the rest of you schmucks?!?!”
Having said that, Kloop is coming across like a bit of a twat though, not winning any friends outside the red-half for sure!
(I’m an equal oppotunity offender! π π π

20th October 2022 at 10:32 am #200135Ye Iβll totally disagree with that nine so we just disregard the spending up to 5 years ago lol . Both started off very evenly 5 years ago !
No worries mate. Ye we will leave it there. Just donβt get that at all mate but will we agree to disagree as you say.
