I agree Ed. Arsenal could have afforded to drop a few points but to draw three on the trot going into the City game ain’t the hallmark of champions.

26th April 2023 at 10:02 pm #206521They will be very disappointed Ed.
Huge opportunity missed for them. Concede to many goals

26th April 2023 at 10:10 pm #206523If Chelsea hampered Lampard’s managerial career the first time around, they’ve pretty much killed it the second time around. Like Gerrard he needed to go down a league or two, not have another hash at it.

26th April 2023 at 10:14 pm #206524I am sick to the back teeth of Erling Haaland. I don’t like him. I don’t like Manchester City winning EVERY single time; they remind me of Man United!!!
But sod it; nothing I can do.
Glad Big Time for our lot beating West Ham. The Football Really Was Terrible and We’re not on it at all. It’s heartbreaking how far low we’ve become. Harmful Gegenpressing and please stop it and stop wearing players out and making them Geriatrics. Fabinho especially of late. Trent thinks he’s in the School Playground in his new role and needs a reality check. Shameful.

26th April 2023 at 10:24 pm #206526Sean, I had 3 screens on tonight mate including the Snooker so I’m probably fuzzed in judgement. Sorry mate. Just hacked off more with Man City, but nowt I can do and I should really focus on my own team and be pleased that we won.

26th April 2023 at 10:26 pm #206527Something’s clearly happened from these draws; can’t be down to just an injury with Saliba.

26th April 2023 at 10:38 pm #206528Was at the bridge tonight and absolutely fuming.
Enough criticism has been thrown at boehly, quite rightly, so I will reserve my anger for Frank lampard tonight as I am sure as hell boshly didn’t tell him to setup like we did with 8 men behind Gallagher and sterling in a bloody 532. We are mid table and we set up like a bottom half club tonight I am so bloody angry with it.
Crowd was flat as soon as we lined up because we knew it stank, but we really got behind them in second half after the changes when we looked like we were giving it a go.
Just remember that in the period since we sacked Potter he has earned us more prem points than lamps has, Potter picked the last team that got a result that wasn’t a loss.

27th April 2023 at 1:07 pm #206536Hi Nil, re your posts on City last night – just chill mate and try to appreciate good football when you see it. There’s no point whatsoever in working yourself up about us – can’t understand why anyone would watch a team play if it affected them that much.
This is the problem with football these days – far too tribal._____________________________

27th April 2023 at 1:38 pm #206537Gjblues is right, Nil. Besides, it’s the Villas, Newcastles and Brightons of this world our teams should be concerning ourselves with now, not City. They’re in a league of their own 😁

27th April 2023 at 2:08 pm #206538Indeed Ed. Thing is, if Arsenal are now supposedly coming to fruition after building for a number of years, they’re still concededing too many goals. In fact Chelsea have conceded fewer goals than them this season.
Compare to Newcastle who have been building up over a much a shorter time frame and they have the best defensive record in the league, look to have secured top 4 very quickly, and arguably look more primed than Arsenal to kick on next season.

27th April 2023 at 2:16 pm #206539You “big-club” fans still don’t get it, do you?
Us “lesser” fans, us “potless” muppets, who might be used to winning something once in a blue moon (see what I did there? 🙂 ), but have long held the dream that if the stars align, a couple of transfers work out better than expected perhaps, or maybe discover a couple of gems in the youth teams who make the step-up and surprise us all, a semi-decent injury free campaign, even a dose of everybody else having a bad year, then perhaps, just perhaps, we might win a title…
And along comes Innocent City, backed a (questionable) soverign state, break every rule in the book, rules that everybody else was vaguely following, as they steamrollered/bankrolled their march to the top of the tree, and are now in the luxurious position of starting each season with the question “So, how many pots are we going to win this year?” and the rest of us are supposed to sit back and think “Okay, my team has no chance in hell of winning anything, so I should be grateful I can watch them?”…. I don’t think so.
I watched the game last night, and I have no problem admitting they were bloody awesome, but I also have no problem admitting all my enjoyment was purely based on the fact it was the Goonies being torn a new one and nothing else.
And no, for the millionth time, I’m not going to be a part of the “sportswashing” agenda. Innocent City’s owners (and a few other owners) are not very nice people at all (and that’s puttting in mildly). I think it’s an absolute tradegy for the game that this has been allowed to happen and will always think that. It’s easy for the fans of these clubs to turn a blind eye (no doubt caused by all the shiny pots that have been bought for them!) and hope for everybody else to row along with them in the “oh well, there’s nothing we can do about it!” boat, but quite frankly, that’s a load of bullocks and we all know it!!!
