13th September 2022 at 7:55 pm #198990Sporting played some nice neat football but until they scored looked blunt up front two great late goals though.

13th September 2022 at 8:44 pm #198991Trent AA is looking susceptible again. I think they are getting behind him too easily.

13th September 2022 at 10:00 pm #198993Trent had a very good game adlab. Made sone very good tackles in one on one. I blame matip for our goal as he wasn’t in line
Very good win againest a decent sude. Created more then enough to win.

13th September 2022 at 10:21 pm #198994Very poor from some Liverpool fans during the minute’s silence. If you demand respect, you should learn to show some.

14th September 2022 at 5:41 am #198995Sometimes you have to just acknowledge good play and the Ajax goal was superb.
Could TAA have done better? Getting bypassed happens but when Matip goes to cover TAA should have bust his gut filling in for the centre back. He didn’t, he strolled as usual.
Could VvD done better? He seems to stand off players in the box with his hands behind his back a lot these days, I’d prefer him to challenge and make the player rush.
But there was something like 34 passes before that goal, I read a CL record for Ajax. Where was the press? Where was the midfield when the ball made it into Liverpool’s final 3rd?
Overall we played pretty good. Same story however, create some good chances but not clinical enough. Jota looked lively however. Think Ajax only made 3 attempts at goal which says our defence and high line must of been doing something right apart from their goal which was excellent.

14th September 2022 at 6:47 am #198996Completely agree with Klopp re his comments on the ridiculous North vs South all-star game and the general Americanisation(?) of the PL. If there was one lesson to be learnt from the Super League debacle, it is that football in this country doesn’t need fixing. It isn’t broken. That’s not to say it can’t continue to develop but not with stupid ideas like that please.

14th September 2022 at 7:50 am #198998There were some assholes in the crowd at our game too, no idea what end, not that it makes a difference.
Got what we deserved last night, created enough chances before their 2 goals to put the game to bed, but didn’t take ’em, so there you go…
As for bloody Septics coming in and trying to change the game, totally agree with Sweddy, it ain’t broke, so bugger off and try and fix something else…
(Although if they did that rather than the Charity Shield, it would make it slightly more interesting for everybody else other than MoneyCity and whoever wins the FA Cup).

14th September 2022 at 8:06 am #199000Agree with Lucky in a crowd of 50,000 there will always be some dissenters the same happened at Wrexham. The fact is the vast majority of Liverpool fans paid their respects to the Queen.

14th September 2022 at 8:15 am #199001Didn’t we used to have some level of play offs for relegation?
Nothing wrong imo with looking at ways to raise money for those less fortunate in football imo.
I very much doubt either idea will be picked up but debate is good for the game and might throw up other ideas.
If we dismissed all new ideas we wouldn’t have a Premier League!

14th September 2022 at 8:22 am #199002I think it’s the all star idea that idea that’s a bit barmy nine. It’s not like the states where teams can move cities, the rivalries between clubs in this country is rich and deep, we can’t put utd and pool players in a team together to play against a team containing arsenal and spurs players!
In a football game I used to play, if you win the world club cup then at the end of the season you play a World XI made up of the very best. Something like that makes more sense and that was a video game!

14th September 2022 at 8:34 am #199003But all that happens in internationals now Lucky.
It won’t happen but ideas that cause debate as to how football can create funds for those less fortunate in football is positive imo.

14th September 2022 at 8:47 am #199004As for ideas for creating funds for those less fortunate (in footballing terms), I’d be for the some sort of luxury tax like what they do have in certain Septic sports, baseball springs to mind…
Not 100% sure how it works, but it was something like every dollar spent “over” the salary cap, cost another “dollar”… so if the cap was 100 million and a club spent 110, they would have to pay another 10 million in “tax”… or something like that…
