Brian, in my opinion haaland has everything a player of his calibre would want at city, he will be loving every minute.

13th October 2022 at 7:01 am #199800I think his Dad wants to make another pile of cash on him which he won’t do if he stays at City, hence the release clause. Alfie has already told us the plan for Erling. Of course, that could change but I think his whole career has been planned to maximise the amount of money his agency and Dad make out of his moves.
โI think Erling wants to prove his abilities in all leagues,โ Haaland Sr. said in the documentary, Haaland: The Big Decision.
โThen he can stay there [Manchester City] for three or four years at the most.
โHe could be, for example, two-and-a-half years in Germany, two-and-a-half years in England and then in Spain, Italy, France, right?โ

13th October 2022 at 7:39 am #199801Sorry, Nil, but I put my Monster Munch on your mob last weekend and ended up with crumbs… and sorry for not sharing your optimism about putting 4 goals past a pub team that had given up… Haaland FC are a different beast and, unfortuantely, I think the only realistic debate is how many they’re going to score!
Sure, you have a punchers chance and stranger things have happened, but I very much doubt anybody outside of the red half of LiVARberoOol fancies your chances much.

13th October 2022 at 8:30 am #199803Liverpool fans would be wise not to get too carried away with the 7-1 demolition of Rangers who are a poor team playing in an even poorer League.
Sunday will be a much bigger test for Liverpool.
I wouldn’t write them off completely given the quality of their offensive players and the win although it was against a poor Rangers team will give them confidence but it will be a hell of a test for them v City in midfield and defensively even at Anfield.
But stranger things have happened.

13th October 2022 at 8:37 am #199804I’m sure Haaland will want to play in Spain they all do at some time in the future the buy out clause is there to give him the option to choose Real if they come calling as they likely will.

13th October 2022 at 8:46 am #199806Ye nine exactly mate. We were dreadful in the 1st but I enjoyed all our goals. Absolutely nothing to get carried away about.
Good to see Bobby start well this season. Heโs been a great servant for us. I really want to see nunez do well. Still so raw and needs a lot of work on him but lovely finish.
Again we go a goal behind. Genuinely fear for us on Sunday but I enjoyed last night

13th October 2022 at 8:51 am #199807Lucky, both parties have to agree to the value of the clause but I’m surprised it’s as high as 200m Euros given that it was negotiated at the time of the Haaland transfer to City and given that Haaland’s team were in the driving seat then.
I would have thought they would have looked to be going closer to circa 100m Euros.
Imagine how many goals Haaland might score in La Liga.

13th October 2022 at 11:06 am #199812I actually think it’s poor character for a manager to gloat over their 7-1 victory irrespective of who the victors or losers may be and especially at the after match news conference.
