Sean, completely agree mate.
I hate sincerely writing personally the comments I write at times and I should be a more resilient supporter and be able to take the rough with the smooth, getting behind the team.
Every game though so far this season albeit Bournemouth it’s like this in the way we start off and concede. How comes Konate and Matip both injured? What are we still doing with a near 40 year old?
We haven’t re-built properly and we’re living off Trent as an attacking player without Mane, it’s a shambles mate. It’s so bad at moment.
Forget Top 4, forget even this, the things are. Sorry for my negativity tonight.

7th September 2022 at 9:05 pm #198818Adlab, I think things are fizzling out with this team. As I said on the other thread, I think when you fire up a team as a manager, it now has to be that intense, that teams and managers struggle to sustain it over the years and unless you’re able to regularly chop and change, it’s hard to maintain.
This could now start to get very serious indeed for Klopp.

7th September 2022 at 9:07 pm #198821Haha, Lucky, my Liverpool mate from work wants Graham Potter to succeed Klopp, but he’s been in talks apparently with Chelsea 🙂 🙂

7th September 2022 at 9:40 pm #198823Spurs scraping past 10 man Marseille at home. Chelsea being humbled by Zagreb. Liverpool demolished by Napoli. Nobody’s challenging City this season are they? 😄

7th September 2022 at 9:51 pm #198825Spurs are just so incredibly boring to watch. No offence Chucky. They just grind results out under Conte. Effective is the best word I can find to describe them.

7th September 2022 at 9:54 pm #198826What is Oxlaid and Naby still doing on our books? Come to think of it, Why do we have Joel Matip if he’s fibre glass? Why do we have Milner? What’s Salah even actually done since his new deal? This is more a Sporting Director problem now.
Why so many injuries? Why the same formation away from home (which to me is arrogance)?????
So many question marks.
The High Line this Saturday I dread versus Wolves. Where are our players and out Top Team? We are Mess Full Stop.

7th September 2022 at 10:02 pm #198827Gomez really is one of the worse defenders I’ve seen; practically in no mans land; “play for England” please, please please. The standards of high standards have deteriorated so far down it’s beggar’s belief but also not so surprising if we’re lacking talent or people just settling for mediocracy!

7th September 2022 at 10:03 pm #198828Last time you had a bad result next 9-0!!
The main problem tonight was the virtually non existent midfield in the first half.
With hindsight it was the wrong setup for this game. You needed 442 and flood the midfield._____________________________

7th September 2022 at 10:18 pm #198829Klopp’s one dimension; 4-3-3. Nothing else, so we are the architects of our downfall. I struggle with 4-3-3 when we don’t have a solid authoritarian midfield.
It’s a nightmare spelling of vulnerability. We are finished. Klopp needs to change.

7th September 2022 at 10:25 pm #198831I love Trent but he has been absolutely awful this season. He looks absolutely shattered or he just doesn’t care any more. Vvd is having his worst spell as a player.,mo dreadfully outperform andhas been since jan.
Lack of desire and fight is a huge concern
I’d be absolutely livid if Klopp was ever sacked even if we finished tenth.
We will get it together at some stage but that looks a long way away at the minute. High line, midfield press…abysmal

7th September 2022 at 10:30 pm #198832Not a chance Klopp gets sacked Sean. Liverpool will get it together after some tactical tweaks.

7th September 2022 at 10:55 pm #198833I think inevitably managers get into a groove of playing the way that’s brought them success previously, and there’s a lot of inertia there for them to suddenly stop and change things. Undoubtedly, the injuries and poor form of quite a few players has had a significant impact. But Klopp clearly has big problems to solve and is going to have to change something.

8th September 2022 at 5:24 am #198834I said from the very beginning Liverpool could struggle adapting to accommodate a new type of forward but I never expected the midfield and defence to be bad.
The popular idea with liverpool is we are poor because we didn’t buy some magical midfielder who would solve all of this and playing James Milner.
My unpopular view and I’ve been saying it since the middle of last season is Fabinho’s poor form is mostly to blame and if I were Klopp he’d be the one I’d look to replace.
His position is so important to Klopp’s system that when he has a bad game the defence is wide open either through the middle or down the right. TAA’s new role of coming into midfield means he is even further away from covering his position than a normal attacking fullback would be on a turnover and Fabinho needs to be on his no 1 game to prevent being exposed but he never is anymore. He just jogs about half arsed.
This of course doesn’t detract away fact that VvD, TAA and in particular Gomez were terrible last night. Gomez played the worst defensive performance I’ve seen since that infamous Lovren one against Spurs at Wembley.
I would like to revert TAA back to his pre 2021 role of an attacking fullback and not trying to make him our Kevin de Bruyne in the middle of the pitch also.
Nil, Ox and Keita are still on the books because Edwards and his team gave them huge contracts that no other team is willing to pay and rightfully so they are not willing to take a cut with. And you cannot terminate their contracts, they have to mutually agree and that works out as or even more expensive than letting run it down.

8th September 2022 at 7:17 am #198840It’s basic lack of application form players and poor form. Fabhino is not playing well but he’s bypassed by a simple ball over the top. Trent has been the worst for me. Strolling around.
Maybe other teams just really have us sussed. Press us hard and double up out wide. These same tactics have brought us huge success. The players are either exhausted or they don’t give a feck anymore.

8th September 2022 at 7:18 am #198841Threeps, I think Elliot defensively is an issue down the right. It’s not just fa Gino trying to cover that side. Add Trent’s terrible form aswell
