Poch said he would never manage Barca as he managed espanol but then again he might change his mind
He’s since gone back on that Sean. Agree though. I’m not sure Poch is the answer. The problem is, I’m not sure who else is. Ole certainly isn’t, that’s for sure.

5th November 2020 at 5:41 am #169689Utd have tried everything at tvis stage. They be in their 5th manager in 7 years of ole goes. No one given ample time and the same be with poch
I’m all for giving managers time but I don’t think one of those managers, aside from maybe Mourinho, deserved more time. Getting more time in a job goes both ways. You have to show something as well to warrant that time.
Neither Moyes or Van Gaal did enough in the time they were there to warrant more time. Their lack of top jobs since proves Utd were right here. When it became clear Mourinho wouldn’t be given the players he wanted, the only thing they could do was get rid of him too.
The mistake in any of these managers is not the lack of time. It’s the fact they’re given the job in the first place, Ole included. Not one of these managers post Ferguson, with the exception of Mourinho should have got the job.
Mourinho would have worked if Utd had done their research and realised they’d have needed to fully buy in to Mourinho’s ways and give him the players he wants. That there was a conflict between the club’s strategy on players and Mourinho’s simply is further evidence that it was the hiring, not the firing, that was the problem, again.

Really not sure on pick mak but as Ed said who else is thereJust so many similarities with utd now abd Liverpool for decades.
That 1st goal last night is just crazy. Oles interviews are embarrassing
The chap is done but I till in two years we will be discussing the same issues.
Ed jose usually had a meltdown in his third season and he did. One which everyone predicted from day one
He wanted pogba.Got him for 86 m abd fell out with him. He wanted mukhythern , got him then blanked him. He got Sanchez … the only player I can remember him not getting is maguire and the board were right there as maguire is as average as they come.
He spent money, fell out with players, turned in his players, complained about transfers. Left them in a terrible position. He had to go as he was poisoning the club with his absolute bullshit

5th November 2020 at 8:33 am #169693Ole and the Board would have much bigger problems if the fans were in OT because they would make their feelings known which would add to the pressure.
Last night’s first goal by Ba was ridiculous I don’t believe that was down to Ole’s tactics it was down to the players on the field being completely foolish and no leadership on the field why wasn’t Maguire as Captain insisting that someone should stay back to prevent something like what happened happen that was schoolboy stuff and you would struggle to see such naivety in the local park.

5th November 2020 at 8:41 am #169694AnonymousThat jersey of Utd’s is really hideous. What is it with jerseys these days?
And Ed, I was indeed posting at 3am. I stayed up all night the night before, with the election. I have to get back into some kind of sleeping pattern.

5th November 2020 at 9:25 am #169695Waspy-Poch hasn’t won anything, but its not a case of winning anything right now @ United. It’s getting this bunch of clowns to resemble a team, and get a bit higher up the table.Ole hasn’t won anything and won’t for a century.

5th November 2020 at 9:38 am #169697Nine, that 1st goal last night just tells you what a shambles it is
Itβs one of the most embarrassing goals Iβve seen a team concede
Im trying not to skate maguire as Iβve said it all before but thatβs criminal from him
How he is utd captain is just beyond me.
How utd fans can still defend pogba. Wishing he comes good…. itβs a joke. Get him out straight away

5th November 2020 at 11:35 am #169702Interesting. Luckhurst is the chief Man Utd writer for the MEN.
United have made an approach to Mauricio Pochettino. Still a reluctance to sack Solskjaer so soon in the season but thereβs an acceptance they need to have a replacement lined up #mufc https://t.co/Sz6BnvX6qc

5th November 2020 at 12:04 pm #169703Thing is Ed, utd have some really good players.
Not a bad squad for a manager to come into really
Still need a few players but itβs not bad at all
As you said from the start, ole was never the right appointment

5th November 2020 at 12:42 pm #169705Poch may not guarantee trophies but he will bring stability, organisation, and better consistency – something desperately needed. Very much agree with Mak above, getting Pogba out the club should be a top priority. I think his mere presence at the club has put a huge strain on the whole club who have never wanted to admit the mistake of signing him at such a huge cost. The board have to stop making such statement signings and support and trust what the manager wants instead.

5th November 2020 at 1:07 pm #169706Yeah I agree Mikus. I was very much against bringing Poch in as I don’t think he has enough pedigree to take us to the top. I still doubt whether he has that. I do, however, know that Ole doesn’t.
The thing now, though, is that getting to the top is no longer one step up (as it arguably was previously) . It’s several. Whether Poch can take Utd up to the top step is debatable. Whether he can take us up from where we are now is, IMO, not in doubt.

5th November 2020 at 2:38 pm #169707I doubt if Poch is the right one for Utd but he will bring some change to Utd and make a platform for the future, I think that is best that will happen but few alternatives available right now so I see Ole carrying on. Feel sorry for the guy though

5th November 2020 at 3:24 pm #169709Now you know how biased I am so put that to one side.
What do Sanchez, Fred and Maguire have in common? (Apart from costing plenty)_____________________________

5th November 2020 at 5:29 pm #169712AnonymousMaybe all you Man Utd fans need to get organized and mass petition the Glazers/media whoever will listen, asking for a football person to be placed in charge of football matters.
