Mak, all good mate. I’ve no subscription to BT, so had to stream off the net which was at times challenging with it cutting out. It wasn’t the best of watches when they pulled a goal back. As it’s Athletico, it’s Tenterhooks, so absolutely chuffed of the Result π

20th October 2021 at 9:57 pm #186918Ed, utd often go behind half time then come back to win. I’m starting to think poor first half due to poor preparation from ole but the the quality players you have are able to adapt to the opposition and turn it around themselves a lot of the time.
You watch them much more than me obviously, what do you think?

20th October 2021 at 10:04 pm #186921anyone seeing parallels between Ole and Arteta other than the obvious? Pressure mounts, one or two games away from getting the sack and somehow pull out a win to save their skin and reset the sack counter.
Amazing that clubs of that size can get to that point

20th October 2021 at 10:09 pm #186922People have short memories Foxy. But over the course of a season, it will become unsustainable.

20th October 2021 at 10:18 pm #186923I mean, I see more negatives from that performance than I see positives. If Man U were a mid-table team I’d see that come-back as a positive. But Man U are expected to either win or come close to winning every comp they are competing in and going 2-0 down against a watered down Atalanta is inexcusable. That match sums up Man U this season

21st October 2021 at 7:17 am #186924It was a great comeback but we can’t keep digging ourselves out of holes like that. It shows great character and it shows the players are responding to Ole. Sadly, the fact we keep getting ourselves into these situations in the first place just continues to show what we all know and that’s that Ole is tactically not good enough for a club expected to win trophies.
How a side can be so bad and so good in the same game is baffling. As others have said, it’s just not sustainable in the long term. We’re conceding far too many goals, especially at set pieces and Liverpool will have a field day on Sunday.

21st October 2021 at 7:21 am #186925I donβt believe for one second we will have a field day day Sunday Ed. Form goes out the window mate and the way we play will suit utd down to the ground. You knew at 2-0 last night utd still had a huge chance as Atlanta defend so high up the pitch. It was asking for trouble
Utd will beat teans that play like Atlanta all night long. It played onto their hands
Great at atmosphere last night and a great comeback. Iβm expecting a horrible game Sunday with Taa targeted and rashford to get in behind. We rarely turn up at old tarford. We have to on Sunday . Far to many times teans are getting in behind us
Last night could be utds turning pointv_____________________________

21st October 2021 at 7:31 am #186928I’m gonna pull out my crystal ball here and say the parallels with Arteta will continue. Ole will beat Pool on the weekend and all will be forgotten for a few more months until the next fuck ups mount up too much.

21st October 2021 at 7:42 am #186929It be no surprise foxy. Itβs a common team with ole. Few wins and he will have people back on side. Be no surprise to see utd go on a run now

21st October 2021 at 8:13 am #186931That’s the case with every manager though. Liverpool fans were calling for Klopp’s head after those 6 straight home defeats last season. The vast majority believe Ole will never be good enough to win trophies at Utd. That doesn’t mean we won’t get behind him and the team and desperately want to be proved wrong.
Yeah Sean, Liverpool look quite shaky at the back too so it could be an open game. I thought Van Dijk in particular looked vulnerable against Atletico. We’ll not win the midfield battle with McTominay and Fred so will be hoping Liverpool come out to play and hopefully get something on the break. That’s the best we can hope for I think.

21st October 2021 at 8:22 am #186932The problem with Atlanta is they way too attacking, they have scored a huge amount of goals in Seria A but have also let in a lot, if you 2 up at half time you need to strengthen areas to maintain the lead. But it’s been a good week for English teams in Europe.

21st October 2021 at 8:46 am #186933Ah come on ed, 99 % of the fan base was with klopp. If we finished last he would still have the fans backing
Vvd is playing to much Ed and isnβt 100 % fit. Heβs doing fine for someone who came back from ten months out but ye I agree. Heβs looks a bit shaky. The midfield is changing far to much. We are no weβre near as solid as two years ago and I think utd will breach our high line

21st October 2021 at 8:58 am #186934I mean, it’s completely impossible to quantify how much % were behind him still Sean. #kloppout was trending quite a few times on Twitter last season and that’s despite all the trophies he’s won. Football fans in general are fickle and Utd fans are no different. He may well turn things around temporarily as seems to be his routine but the only way he’s keeping his job long term is by winning things and that’s looking extremely unlikely whatever kind of mini run we go on.

21st October 2021 at 9:08 am #186935Can’t believe nobody is bothered by the new Jimmy B movie… some things are more important than football, even bigger than the Spuds, even brighter than Kloop’s teeth!!

Every fan I spoke to abd read on decent forms fully supported him. There would have been uproar if he was sacked
Horrible game on Sunday. Absolutely hate playing utd away

21st October 2021 at 10:44 am #186938I’m still trying to figure out what Ranieri was alluding to last Sat at Watford when he was screaming the word “narrow” to his players.
It’ll be a competitive game Sunday. United’s heads have lifted for sure and they’ll be up for this Sunday. Do we play better compact or spaced out? We’ve got to get the passing going and they’ll put 2/3 players around one of our players to nullify or hoping we do vice-versa. Fabinho has to start to give us the right balance.
Definitely no 0-0 and could be something like 3-3.
