No I agree Hightown. I’d love Utd to be as defensively sound as Chelsea. I don’t understand this negative connotation with the term defensive side. Why is that seen as a negative? Utd were defensive under Mourinho and it didn’t bother me one bit until it all became sour towards the end anyway

Sure Ed and we see where we are after 38 games, but the above does not define a defensive team does it?

I remember posting a few years back about measuring the strengths of teams as a ratio of goals scored to goals conceded as the game is about balance. The best chelsea teams have been some of most balanced and complete teams the premier league has ever seen. Its not based on being defensive its about being good both ways and that’s what we are now imo. To label it defensive I just don’t understand honestly.

Porto and Milan drew so a point seals qualification from group for pool with 2 to go 👍 Strong 11 despite that but get qualification sorted tonight and I suppose pool can rotate heavily for last 2 games after international break which is always a nice bonus if you can earn it.

Might end up watching ajax dortmund will see how it goes

He turned his back on the ref lucky. Ref blew whistle 3?times and he ignored them. These are an absolutely disgusting and vile team. Absolutely deplore their antics. We need to take mane off or they will get him sent off.

Haha, hope so Lucky. Had the Radio on driving back so pleased we’re 2 in front. It’s clearly livened up. Good to be a man up so we need to preserve the lead, not get into any trouble and stay injury free.

I think, could be very wrong, that he was going to show a yellow for the foul which would of been fair. But because Felipe turned away despite the ref blowing 3 times the yellow couldn’t be shown so he just pulled out the red. Should of it been the yellow shown twice then a red? I’m not sure. But this ref has been great not putting up with any of Atleticos nonsense.

Just listening to Peter Walton discuss the red and even more confused now. They saying its confirmed a straight red. so not a yellow for foul and yellow for dissent. If the red was for the foul I don’t see why ref would wait to pull out the red card and don’t see why the dissent would be a straight red either.

If ref showed 2 straight yellows then red completely understand but not sure that was the right way of going about it

I am enjoying the Salah-Henderson-Trent overload. Its something we’ve done a few times this season and results in Trent being more infield and in a more dangerous position for his crosses.
