A couple of very tasty fixtures for the neutrals, with both Salahpool and the Harry Kane team got it all to play for, a win and they’re in for the next bit…
Off course, those fans are having kittens for the next 36hrs in the meantime, Battersea Dogs home on standby…
One way or another, a European Double is on the cards for Engerland I reckon!!

10th December 2018 at 8:31 am #29234Liverpool have a very good chance of getting the result they need at Anfield imo whilst Spurs have a real chance of progressing too as Barca have nothing to play for other than pride and may well rest key players.
However finishing second which is certain for Spurs and likely for Liverpool will leave both vulnerable to a tough draw in the Round of 16 should they come through these games but that’s not to worry about until February.
Shame both games are being shown on the same day at the same time, difficult to know which one to watch if your a neutral
Good luck to both Clubs it would be great to get 4 PL Clubs into the Round of 16.

10th December 2018 at 2:50 pm #29257Mav, no if both Spurs and Inter win Spurs go through on the better head to head record their 1-0 v Inter trump’s Inters 2-1 over Spurs according to UEFA rules.

10th December 2018 at 3:11 pm #29258Goosey Lucy… the Golden Labrador is correct, if Spuds win it don’t matter what the pizza munchers do against the clogs… they have to win if we draw, or draw if we lose… or if they lose we go through regardless…. so I’m guessing both games will be draws with 8 minutes to go and then the Pizza Boys will score!!

10th December 2018 at 4:36 pm #29264Mav,doesn’t count mate but there are moves afoot to change this around going forwards where goals scored in heads to heads will take precedent possibly from next season.
But first thing first though Spurs need to beat Barca or Barca B as it well might be.?

10th December 2018 at 5:00 pm #29265I thought goals scored in head-to-head only mattered past group stages?

10th December 2018 at 5:02 pm #29267Wouldnβt be worried about who we get the next round once we get through
Very tough game for both teams.
Hoping Anfield might be a big advantage
Napoli are a very good team. Tough job but in no way impossible
I think we will need to score 3 to go through as they will score

10th December 2018 at 6:11 pm #29271AnonymousThe last two occasions spurs have won their group theyβve drawn AC Milan and Juventus in the first knockout round. Of course finishing top is preferable but it by no means guarantees a favourable fixture.
Do we have a chance of beating Barca? Yes, but itβs bloody minimal. Inter are likely to win which means we have to. However I shall remain hopeful that PSV can pull of some form of upset.

10th December 2018 at 8:35 pm #29277Agree with Mav it would have been a lot tougher for Spurs if Barca needed the points but it’s a nothing game for them and a massive game for Spurs which could tip the balance in Spurs favour.

10th December 2018 at 8:50 pm #29278Liverpool will be knocked out of the C/L. Napoli are a very well drilled & well balanced side & it will be the dreaded Europa League for Liverpool.

10th December 2018 at 9:17 pm #29280Oz…Liverpool are a very well drilled and organised side as well! We may well end up going out tomorrow night, mate, but we are bang in form at the moment, and Mo looked back to his old self on Saturday, so go in to the game thinking positive thoughts, pal!

10th December 2018 at 9:34 pm #29281Salah back to scoring goals as he was always was going to be albeit maybe not quite so many as last season but why isn’t he celebrating them? Seems a tad strange.
