5th April 2019 at 7:53 pm #36877I expect a few will go and a few will come in at Spurs in the Summer one of two big players like Alderwield and Eriksen look like they might go and they will need replacing.
As the Ed says Poch has the best job in football currently a significant salary and no pressure to win anything why would he ever want to leave in those circumstances.

7th April 2019 at 11:07 am #36953Spot on Mikus, the fans want to win things but as you say money is all that matters these days. Sad thing is if you don’t have money you won’t win things. Just look at city, spend loads more than anyone else & are on track to win 4 trophy’s, others simply can’t compete with the money they spend. The only badge players kiss these days is the logo of their bank.

13th April 2019 at 12:15 pm #37464AnonymousAll the Spurs supporters I’ve known for the last 57 years are well happy that people feel he isn’t a great manager, cos he hasn’t won anything, maybe he will hang around for a while.
He has established a level of consistency in my club that I haven’t seen since the early 60’s , it would be amazing to start winning things , but I’m not upset that he hasn’t yet?? I feel supporters of other teams seem more concerned about this lack of success than we are.
He has had 18 months with no new players, and all bar a few games 2 years without a home ground. We are clinging on to a top 4 place and are in the quarter finals of the CL, if you’d seen some of the crap I’ve seen over the years you would be well happy.
I have been categorically informed (through long established people at Spurs) that there is a sizeable pot ring fenced for new players when the Summer window opens .Will a couple of our big players leave ??that’s always a possibility ,we will have to suck it up and get on with._____________________________

13th April 2019 at 12:39 pm #37465Brick layers, no doubting he’s a good manager mate. He assembled a very good team and spurs are now a regular top 4 team but they can push on that bit furhur.
Klopp badly needs a trophy. Really badly as much as the club does.
Poch attitude is it’s not all trophies but that’s what the top 6 managers will be judged on.
Spurs on their day can beat anyone. Very very good side but I don’t get why Poch is linked with big jobs when he’s won nothing. Just my opinion. This spurs team is good enough to be winning something

13th April 2019 at 1:11 pm #37467Not winning any trophy’s aside Poch is not available even if he wanted to be and why would he want to be given the lack of pressure on him to win anything because of the contact he’s signed meaning Levy will demand circa £40m to release him and nobody will pay that kind of money to get a Manager especially one who has yet to win anything.

13th April 2019 at 1:40 pm #37475AnonymousSean, can’t argue with any of that, I don’t honestly think we have enough to get to the next level.
If nobody leaves, which is wishful thinking , and we got 3 quality players in things might be different, I can dream._____________________________

13th April 2019 at 1:54 pm #37478Mav, that’s why I said net spend mate.
Allegedly Eriksen wants to go to Real but he’s in the last year of his contract in the Summer which just like with Hazard will impact on the size of any fee.

13th April 2019 at 2:15 pm #37483Slightly off thread but how will United get rid of Sanchez given his wages without they underwrite his salary same situation with Bale at Real.
Very difficult to move players on given their wages without the selling Club’s part fund the wages. Bale is allegedly on £600k pw.
