20th November 2019 at 12:09 pm #53325In fairness that’s the going rate for his trophy record. Only Guardiola can claim to have a better CV than Jose (arguably) so this is about right.
The Sun: Jose Mourinho's wages at Spurs revealed with £15m-a-year salary… almost DOUBLE what Mauricio Pochettino earned https://t.co/AKmYml1kYx #spurs #thfc pic.twitter.com/5GC2a5JKug

20th November 2019 at 12:15 pm #53327One big difference on Pep’s CV, the number of times sacked box has nothing in it….Pagan

20th November 2019 at 12:17 pm #53329Another big one. He’s only ever managed arguably the best squad in Europe at each time, unlike Jose who won the biggest trophy going with two unfancied sides. Something Pep has yet to do, even with arguably the best club sides at the time in City and Bayern

20th November 2019 at 12:18 pm #53330Klopp’s CL win definitely up there with Mourinho’s from Inter and Porto though, albeit Mourinho spent considerably less money. Klopp deserves to be much higher on that list

20th November 2019 at 12:21 pm #53331I really dont get Daniel Levy when he’s prepared to take a hit like this but then in other ways, set his stall out.

20th November 2019 at 12:42 pm #53334as they sacked the manager do they also have t pay off his contract? if so anyone know how long he had left and thus how much on top of what they are giving the THE SPECIOUS ONE?
that could be the spuds transfer budget gone right there! they may not have spent much in the last few years windows but even so as I know from Arsenal, that new stadium on top of other costs around it, wages and what not will mean they will not be flush with cash!
if Jose gets any real money to spend id wager it would fly close to FFP, they may break it for onw window as they have 3 in total to balance it….so could also lead to trouble
and of course the 4 or 5 contract rebels, if they do a Ramsey and see out the contracts then thats money lost also that would have been reinvested…

20th November 2019 at 12:47 pm #53338If the relationship between Pochettino and Levy broke down because of Levy’s refusal to back Pochettino in the transfer market it would be strange to see him throw money at Mourinho.
I’m sure Mourinho will get money to spend but he will have to be smart in the transfer market he usually goes for strength through the middle Lloris is a question mark for me as is the back up Keeper I can though see Jose going for players like Matic maybe even Ibrahimovic.? Possibly a loan deal for Bale too.
Love him or loathe him Jose will make the PL even more interesting and the number of posts will go up on here too it already has!?
Spurs will climb the table now top 6 finish definitely top 4 finish? I wouldn’t write it off.

20th November 2019 at 12:58 pm #53345not this season, i think he will stabalise the club and do well but not enough for top 4 Leicester and Chelsea are to far ahead in the seaon for me and will only get better
also if they start with a few bad results then things could very much go the other way too….
it will certainly be interesting!

20th November 2019 at 1:08 pm #53352i do yes, i just dont think he will get top 4 this season, that MHO….
i think where Leicester are under Rogers and Chelsea under Frank…let alone the possibilty of a resurgent Man U and Arsenal means that is likley a step to far this season, top 6 maybe…then he needs to spend, keep and rebuild and the real test will be next year…but again if the results dont pick up and continue like they did under Poch, i know its unlikley but possible its the same group of players…then it could go very much the other way!

20th November 2019 at 1:10 pm #53354Stevo, I agree top 4 is an outside bet for Spurs but not totally impossible but they’ll make top 6 imo.

20th November 2019 at 1:25 pm #53357Spuds Top4 all depends on Chelsea I reckon. Foxy Ladies are nailed on for 3rd, already played a lot of Top teams, no Euro distractions, and they’ve looked good every time I’ve seen them. Absolutely 3rd best team in the country from the footy that I have actually seen. With regards to Chelsea, the only game I have seen was the opener against UnYooUtd, and I think even Puppy would suggest they weren’t great. Of course, I might be wrong, but I feel they are riding high on a combination of new-manager bounce, young bloods playing out there skin, and not the hardest of fixtures… still favorites for 4th for sure, but they’re the team my Spuds will need to overhaul, not Foxy Ladies.
As for signings, I think the world and his dog know it’s FB’s that is our major weak spot right now, and I reckon Maureen know’s that. Fully expect some new relatively unknowns (to me!) from overseas in the 30/40 mill bracket to show up in Jan… and maybe Bale.

20th November 2019 at 1:39 pm #53361Best you watch a few more Chelsea games Chucky.?
The 12 point gap could be down to 9 points this weekend though. Just for the sake of accuracy though Chelsea have played all of the top 8 in the PL after playing City.

20th November 2019 at 1:41 pm #53362AnonymousChucky, I’d feel the exact same as you were Jose to follow Klopp, or Rodgers that time. He’s a difficult man to kinda watch as a manager because it brings out the worst in him. As a pundit, he blows the others away and has given away trade secrets on a number of occasions. Maybe not secrets but … things that are beyond the knowledge levels of myself and the pundits around him.
As a manager though, I don’t like his football and wouldn’t want him at my club. I also think he’s a psychopath. The guy is incredibly charming but also, nasty and vicious.

20th November 2019 at 1:52 pm #53364I’d rate Chelsea better then Leicester and my favourites for 3rd. Leicester have been poor away form home in the big games. Negative tactics
Chelsea look really good to me

20th November 2019 at 1:57 pm #53365The only reason United beat Chelsea 4-0 was the fact Pedro forgot how to shoot, should have been 3-1 to Chelsea in the 1st half.I still have no idea how he missed em couple of sitters,as DDG was nowhere near em to make saves.
