For me Klopp doesn’t get enough credit for what he’s doing.
How many of his buys have been absolute failures?
Many people even wrote us off for getting top 4 as they said we couldn’t compete in 4 comps because of our style of play.
We are making significant progress. We are great to watch
I’ll never get carried away but we heading in the right direction
We have to sell our best players to buy others.

11th April 2018 at 9:16 am #20053Sean – remember to be positive now.
I agree about Klopp – he doesn’t get many transfers wrong, and he doesn’t rush to spend any money made available to him like Rodgers and Rafa used to. They used to drive me mad with 8-12m average buys.
There is plenty of cash in the kitty – we only need to sell when agents and the Spanish clubs unsettle players.

11th April 2018 at 9:37 am #20054AnonymousWell, I hope we don’t go and sell Salah. We need to keep our top players a few years so that we have a platform to build on. It’s always a worry that Real/Barca/PSG or even one of the rich PL clubs might come in with an insane offer.
The Coutinho situation might be a reminder to the players who enjoy playing well in Klopp’s team. Coutinho is loving the sunshine but he’s not exactly lighting up La Liga. far from it in fact as they are apparently not overly impressed with him at all, so far. This all wraps around to the fact that Klopp gets the best out of quality attacking players. You leave this environment and you risk going to one that doesn’t show you in as good a light. Coutinho left to go win things, well he’ll pick up a medal for participating in a team who were walking the league when he joined them. Meanwhile Liverpool have gone further than Barca in the CL.
We’re going places with this Klopp fellow.

11th April 2018 at 9:49 am #20056Nine, yeah, just checked.
We play our first leg on the 24th, and then the return, 2nd of May. By then, we should have 4th cemented. Hopefully too, a few of our players can return from injury.

11th April 2018 at 9:51 am #20057Sean, Klopp’s also made Rodgers’s buys to be better players, like Can and Firmino.

11th April 2018 at 10:01 am #20060Sean, a lot of that is just sort of tribal from our competitors because of them being precious, so they might have insinuated we weren’t worthy of our CL place.
And that comes from 6 realistic teams being able to compete for 4th, although Arsenal have well and truly been muscled out, can’t say their supporters would be putting up with what they have to have put up with for a long time.
As of ourselves, the challenge is to try and continue to improve. We really do need to start winning silverware, then begin to look at regularly challenging for the league title.
I’m not saying these people are no-marks, but I really can’t see as biased as I sound a long-term future for people like Pep and Jose in the way I can see Klopp blossoming at Liverpool.

11th April 2018 at 10:35 am #20064Klopp has achieved a feat no manager has achieved. i was hearing from the commentator that no manager has beaten Pep 3 times in season. and Klopp becomes the first to do so.

11th April 2018 at 12:02 pm #20071Looks like the City fans were in a bad mood after Salahs goal and don’t like Liverpool fans celebrating – in the so called family/neutral area.

11th April 2018 at 12:42 pm #20072Whilst not condoning any sort of violence you would have to be pretty stupid as a Liverpool fan to sit amongst the City fans and then celebrate a Liverpool goal that effectively sealed the tie.
I’ve sat in the home ends at both St Mary’s and Upton Park and seen Chelsea score and go on to win and not moved a muscle to celebrate the goals. Any football fan who has been around the block and has an ounce of common sense wouldn’t do it!

11th April 2018 at 12:47 pm #20073sounds like you are condoning it.
BBC reported last night that this was in a neutral/family area of the ground.
