Benni, don’t you dare talk to me about insults when without any justification you accused me of condoning violence when that is exactly the opposite of what I said and understanding how it happened is understanding that any Liverpool fan sitting in the City end amongst City fans which is not where he should be and jumping up to celebrate a Liverpool goal in such a crucial game makes him two sandwiches short of a picnic.
You need to stop looking for trouble or I will join Jim and Paxton in retiring from the site.

11th April 2018 at 6:31 pm #20106gi,
I get where you’re coming from in all fairness.
Imagine though if there was a United fan celebrating sat in main stand at Anfield?
Essentially, all you’re doing is cheering a goal in sheer delight, but anyone really angry, frustrated and half-tanked, you run the risk of a confrontation.
But what happened last night was barbaric in my view and inexcusable.

11th April 2018 at 6:42 pm #20110Top post gjblues. It’s all got a bit heated around here recently and I’m not sure why. Beni, I have a lot of respect for you as a poster but I’m with Nine on this one mate. Like gjblues, I just don’t see Nine’s post as condoning trouble.

11th April 2018 at 7:29 pm #20112Cheers Ed.
I joined this site on the recommendation of another Blue. I was previously on TT but got really p****d off with the road it was going down. Due to a fairly hectic work, family and social life, I don’t get to post as often as I’d like but do care about it going forward and would hate to see it go down the same route as TT._____________________________

11th April 2018 at 8:13 pm #20113gi, stick around mate.
I think invariably due to a very small group here, the habits have changed from the days of TT where fans had their own hub to chat, discuss matters/current affairs, ins and out, pre-match-post match, and tactics.
That would only be my disappointment, and the reason being behind that is that even on a forum, you can find yourself zoning out and forgetting that there are opposition posters that are allowed to post.
Everyone’s got a heart and soul though and that I VALUE so everyone should be welcome and on the whole, I think that for the group of people here. As Klopp often says, ‘you can get lost in a moment’ and one can fly off the handle just a bit. We’re passionate, we’re precious, because we care, that’s the bottom line.
Although some form of behaviour like violence is totally inexcusable. It should never come to that.
Anyway Gi, hope you get your celebrations soon on winning the League Championship because it’s thoroughly deserved, and Man City as far as League standings go have been lightening.
Cheers

11th April 2018 at 8:57 pm #20119AnonymousI don’t want to wade into this argument too much but I will say one thing. It’s a sad day when it’s considered common sense for fans to make sure they don’t celebrate for fear of verbal and even physical abuse by the home fans. Now, I say that while agreeing that it is common sense but that doesn’t make it right.
You would think that people would be able to leave their houses without acting like savages and the game is just rife with these bastards.
Even though we’re in the state that we are and the situation where it actually is a common sense situation, you could say that it’s common sense that teams shouldn’t drive their bus through a crowd without getting it’s windows smashed also. It’s not that different, only one has been going on for ages and the other are the same group of complete shithawks doing something a little different with their time.
So no, i don’t think we should get too comfortable with the expression that it’s common sense and instead look at weed the scumbags who can’t behave in a civilised manner, out of the game.
They have cameras all around the grounds. They need to ban anyone who throws a punch at an innocent person inside the ground. if they are already doing this, they need to publicize it more.
anyway not a great post but hopefully you get what im saying.

11th April 2018 at 9:12 pm #20120I would say, this is ultimately down to the individual in how they go about themselves.
The Daily Mail is pants outright, but then from their point of view, it’s whatever is sent and presented to them, in the fashion and state.
A clip of footage in essence, doesn’t tell the full story. Okay, let’s throw in, the thought of the ‘sore thumb’ in some form to provoke.
When I visit Leicester, generally or above all, in the Kop End or the most perhaps notorious of places, I’ve felt welcomed – Baby Squad is always there to protect, haha π π
Well, in essence, I dunno – we most certainly can’t behave in a way say at the New Den.
I was thinking Managers, old school, and would love a confrontation between let’s say, WARNOCK and PEP, Man π
Not many of those Barry Fry or Harry Redknapp type of Managers around in the Workplace π

11th April 2018 at 9:29 pm #20124AnonymousI thought youβd might prefer Juve, as your pressing game and fast front three might cause Juventusβs aging legs more problems then Madridβs.
Spurs also ran Juve very close and you play a similar game.

11th April 2018 at 9:58 pm #20130Mak you don’t sit in where you’re not meant to be in the Manchester City end amongst all City fans and then stand up and celebrate the deciding goal in such a massive game it’s just plain daft and savvy fans who regularly go to games wouldn’t be foolish enough to do it.
That doesn’t change the fact that the Liverpool fan/fans shouldn’t have been attacked and I hope he/ they are ok.
Now let’s leave that all behind us and get back to the football and the Bernabeau. Wow what a game but Real should hold no fear for Liverpool they are quite capable of beating this Real team.
