Done if ya go to bed giblues.
Name one game in history of football that has been replayed wh n a bus has been attacked? Utd went to Leeds many times and the bus got attacked, it never put them off
So city lost because the bus was attacked?
Kdb, pep and Gündogan said it didn’t put them off and made no excuses. Gundogan even said it hyped them up moreGrow up. No game has ever been replayed even when trouble at games
Nine, you’ve said the same thing about 4 times. We get it. A lot worse has occurred in grounds and outside grounds yet.
Haven’t cheksea fans been involved in violence this season? Our club has condemned it. It was a disgrace. It has dampened the win.
City were outplayed just like we were at the Etihad. They are going to win the league and farming cup. They are well capable of coming back on Tuesday. Everyone knows we can collapse as history has shown. To call for a replay is pathetic
Your manager has handled it really well better then some fans
Of course city fans are angels. Kolo you’re was caught taking drugs while st city, should the games he played have been subject to a replay ?

No Liverpool fan thinks we are through.city are well capable of doing and I wouldn’t be making excuses like you are
You really come across as very bitter. Adlab has apologized about his disgraceful Hillsborough comment but ffs. You guys have shown no class in here at all unlike big jim, your manager and players
Oh everyone is againest city etc. it’s fucking pathetic

6th April 2018 at 7:50 am #19359Nine, no one jumped all over you. It was pointed out there may be trouble and me and others hoped there wouldn’t be
Also I couldn’t remember the city bus being attacked in 2014 and there was nothing highlighted v Villareal as I’m aware
You made a point. People responded. It was a disgrace. Lucky no one was hurt but all clubs have scum bags as fans. Everyone knows that.54k people and 100 or so acting the knobs.
Giblues, do you think England should play there first game behind close doors considering their disgusting behavior in Amsterdam and nearly every tournament they have been in? They cause so much trouble so why not ban all of Nolan’s fans from the World Cup?

6th April 2018 at 8:11 am #19360I’m not aware of any major incidents involving Chelsea fans this season Sean other than Chelsea’s fans being attacked and hurt in Rome but none of that’s got anything to do with what happened on Wednesday night and hitting out at other clubs fans and England fans in Amsterdam just muddies the water.
This was pre arranged on Social media thousands were involved albeit not all threw missiles at the Coach but many did and it was done to try and give Liverpool an advantage in this game and the Police had advance warning and did nothing about it.
This pre arranged Coach greeting of the size and type it was is peculiar to Liverpool fans and not something we want to see more of on our streets in England from fans of Liverpool or fans of any other club either imho.
Replaying the game is not even under discussion by UEFA so it’s a mute point but I do think UEFA need to come down hard on Liverpool over this and a suspended sentence of a behind closed doors future UEFA fixture home game shouldn’t be ruled out by UEFA to ensure that a stop is put to this practice by Liverpool fans.
As I said a couple of weeks back such a call to action by Liverpool fans on Social Media always had the likelyhood to develop into a significant problem but I was talked down sadly though I was proved right and it did develop into a very disturbing incident.
Hopefully City fans will not now look to carry out their own retribution on Tuesday.
It’s such a shame because the Coach greet and attack has overshadowed a magnificent Liverpool performance which is all we should have been talking about.

6th April 2018 at 8:18 am #19362Thanks nine, you’ve just repeated what you said in your previous 4 posts
I’m saying about England fans as I don’t remember you post 4/5 times repeating the same thing about England fans
I like you nine but you don’t con me and I’ve saud it before. Not fighting with you just tell you straight I know you reakky don’t like Liverpool but our on a show you do
Ant cheksea fab that wants spurs to finish above Liverpool clearly doesn’t like us
My point is you ousted the same thing a good few times
My point about Chelsea and England are they all have fans who are scum very much like all clubs so you know it’s always the minority

6th April 2018 at 8:48 am #19364It’s highly unlikely there would be some sort of a ‘revenge attack’.
Supporters of Man City are decent and realistic. No doubt though, the community and Police will be mindful. Maybe an idea to temporary cordon off an particular route at a particular time to allow the coach to come through safely and without any disruption.
Perhaps I’m overthinking this and being cautious but just a thought.

6th April 2018 at 8:51 am #19365This thread is appalling – shite from graceless City fans and 999 with his repetitive dogmatic biased mantras. Attempts to link hillsborough with hooliganism shows this site is no better than any other and will be a while before I bother again if at all.
I agree with you 100% Sean about all posts and posters on here. And I agree that Liverpool are capable of losing by more than three goals at the etihad. Well said Sean, keep well mate.
Peace, bye.

6th April 2018 at 8:52 am #19367Nope, and we are definitely not out of the woods despite a very healthy 3-0 advantage.
I believe though our players are synced together and are growing in finding a winning mentality. Plus, they are realising how big and important this competition is.

6th April 2018 at 8:54 am #19370I dont think the match should be replayed. What I do think is that a really good OBJECTIVE look should be taken ie:
Policing ..In my opinion inept and inadequate.
Liverpool FC.. Words of the manager whipping it up even though I am sure this was not his intention. He has history though of inflammatory rhetoric here and in Germany.
Social so-called media. Dangerous and evil. Police need to trace. They wont.
UEFA – inept most likely. No point expressing my view. Ask a neutral. There needs to be a very strong response. If not this will happen els3where.
Why Liverpool supporters felt the need for violence. This needs to be examined_____________________________

6th April 2018 at 8:57 am #19371Sean, at least I’m consistent!?
I immediately condemned the England fans by the way the posts are there if you track back just as I have the Liverpool fans for Wednesday night.
I’m not a Liverpool fan mate but I am a football fan and I say it as I see it.
I like the Liverpool forum and the vast majority of the guys on there and enjoy posting on there and Liverpool are one of my favourite teams to watch football wise but I’m a Chelsea fan and that’s as far as it goes. Personally I’m not bothered where Liverpool and Spurs finish or who finishes above the other without it favours Chelsea in some way.
This is all best put to bed now as we wait for UEFA to deal with it and hopefully nothing bad happens next week. Cheers 999

6th April 2018 at 9:00 am #19372Adlab, we need to be punished. I’ve no idea why anyone needed to be told about the buses taking another route.
I’ve said my piece and will leave it there
No need to bring Hillsborough into it st all.

6th April 2018 at 9:15 am #19375The one thing that does irk me about this is any form of confidentiality.
There just isn’t any as someone is ‘leaked out’. Social Media spreads really quickly through retweets, you’d think these people centre their lives and going out of their way to pre-plan.
On the whole, I’m confident there is unlikely to be a repetition of this.
If there is a ‘discreet’ way of our lot getting through into their ground, even if a couple of hours early, then that’s at least one way to defuse this .
Too many beady eyes though, and it only takes one idiot out there to capture a picture of the team bus/reg plate etc, and pass it on to another.

6th April 2018 at 9:45 am #19382If City were so traumatised by the scenes outside, how come Liverpool barely got a touch of the ball for the first 10 minutes? Until we scored it was all City. So the trauma only hit them after we scored? Come on…really? These are experienced footballers who have played all round Europe. That is just a pathetic excuse peddled by people who can’t accept that on the night they were comprehensively outplayed.
I am really surprised at some of the rubbish I have read on this thread. Yes, what happened was wrong, yes, it shouldn’t happen again, but society as a whole has idiots who frankly are a danger to themselves and others, but that’s what they are…idiots who can’t handle alcohol, drugs, a crowd, who knows what! The club will get punished and they will have to take what punishment is handed out, end of.

6th April 2018 at 10:28 am #19389Two separate issues here. Imo We lost the game on the pitch, I believe Pep and one or two players have said similar. IMO We were set up wrong and the team selection could have been a bit better in hindsight. That said I feared we would get outworked in midfield with Gundog in the middle and that is exactly what happened. He’s a skilful player but just too slow. But as Brian says despite being very disappointing these things happen. We made mistakes and got punished yet again against a very good attacking side. Sure there was an element of luck in a couple of decisions but it happens. We knew we would have to play well to get a decent result and didn’t. However in the context of our season it’s not the end of the world. Tomorrow we need to hammer United and celebrate winning the league and breaking records. We will come again next season in the CL.
The violence against the team bus is a separate issue. Firstly I believe Pep said it didnt affect the players in the game. Three parties are clearly to blame, firstly the knob head fans who have done this. It wasn’t a few it was hundreds and it’s happened before. City fans have been attacked in a bus in 2014. The Villa Real Coach was attacked. IMO LFC tacitly condone this behaviour by encouraging this reception. They presumably knew the issues that have occurred before but still encourage a hostile but “friendly” reception presumably because they think it will unsettle opposition players. Condemning it after the event when you have tacitly encouraged it is pretty poor. If City were to encourage a “friendly” reception of the LFC bus on Tuesday and violence erupted they would be rightly condemned by all and sundry. Finally this was pre organised everyone knew about this and importantly the Police. The policing was inadequate in quantity and response. Just walking on ignoring bottles bricks fans missiles are being thrown with intent to cause injury and damage is not acceptable. They should have made attempts to seize the culprits. Stopped the coach and reversed out of the street. And with hindsight the game should have been delayed until the bus could progress safely and the situation had been calmed and was under control. If someone on the bus had had a bottle in the face or was hurt would the bus have continued and the game been played? Possibly not and before anyone says otherwise this was definitely a very high risk. The police response was appalling and they need to ask themselves why they let this occur. No point in acting after the event and no point in trying to find perpetrators after either as that will be pretty impossible imo.
UEFA are pathetic imo they always have been in any situation. LFC will get a fine and a warning in a few months time when this has all been forgotten about. Is that sufficient I don’t know? Does the bus attack warrant behind closed door games or forfeits no! But it certainly needs to be stopped from happening again.
Finally I think people need to calm down a bit. Weve all been gutted losing football games. People have apologised for using certain references. Let’s move move on for the good of the forum and the Ed. Cheers Jim

6th April 2018 at 10:57 am #19390Good post jim and agree with everything you say.
As I keep saying, no one is getting carried away and I really believe this game will go to the wire Tuesday
I can’t see us having it easy st all even with a 3-0 lead. It takes a 2nd to score. City score early and we will be rattled.
If it was anyone else but city or Barca, I’d be much more confident. City can destroy teams very quickly. I expect a very intense night and just hope we get through but if we don’t, city will fully deserve to go through and I hope they win it.
It’s iver now and we have all had are say so it’s done for me
