I am perfectly willing to blame Klopp when it calls for it, as I would be to credit him but I would hold off on laying the blame for our investment, or lack of, on him.
Rodgers made a big thing about how he was in charge of transfers. He carefully worded it all to sound good, he had final say. Klopp has issued the same language with an upgrade, he’s just better at saying less than Brendan.
Final say is nothing. it is literally worth nothing in management.

28th January 2018 at 7:54 am #13964AnonymousNever rated Can, Mane for some strange reason believes his the Messi of Liverpool. Vvd is vastly overrated for his price. Klopp is good enough not many better alternatives.

28th January 2018 at 10:05 am #13970Mak, Moreno hadnβt played for nearly two months then is thrown in last night ffs. Makes no sense. That was our best team last night with the team exception of Moreno. Wba dances through us.
Can is so inconsistent. Vvd looks like a pub player. Matip has been terrible this season. In a week, we have gone from being a very good to producing two pathetic performances. Itβs just typical us

28th January 2018 at 10:45 am #13972I wonβt lie, I didnβt like VAR last night. Normally it would have been 3-1 and no pen but VAR changed that. What I find really wrong is this, letβs say pen was scored and Pool went on to win 3-2 with 2 VAR decisions going in there favour. Role forward 1 day, no VAR at say Cardiff v City and letβs say 2 decisions go in favour of Cardiff with no VAR but replays show wrong decisions!! Iβm struggling to understand why itβs in one game and not the other, thatβs not right, or is it just me??
On Pool, Iβm struggling to understand whatβs going on. Shame City had that crazy 9 minutes or we would have won at Anfield.
I agree with last poster VVD looks a step or 2 below what he should be playing at. City changed 4 out of the starting 5 at the back because it wasnβt right. Pool may have to do the same to improve to be true contenders.

28th January 2018 at 10:53 am #13973The rubbish I’ve read from elsewhere even if people are entitled to their opinions. It’s as if they want us to fail.
Btw I was one of the who mentioned about 2nd place. Though it is attainable mathematically, United’s buy in Sanchez coupled with us losing Coutinho realistically is going to be unlikely.
I just don’t like the way we’re talked about by the same people and I’ve seen this now for several years.
Some people visiting forums show very little optimism through their entirety. I honestly wonder what satisfaction and fulfilment they gain in their life.
Don’t they want to win any trophies or the League Title?

28th January 2018 at 10:57 am #13974VAR is fine in my view. I’m hoping too it’s here to stay.
I wonder what might have been had this little Gem was around decades ago.
I don’t know why people complain about how it takes and the so-called disruptions made.

28th January 2018 at 11:09 am #13976Who you on about in your first post? I donβt get too effected by people slagging City off anymore, I kind of enjoy there bitterness.
Let me ask this, how would you be feeling if VAR would have gone in favour of WBA last night and it cost Pool the game?
Iβve not been at a game yet with VAR but Iβm kinda not looking forward to my first game although we have had some absolutely ridiculous decisions go against us that VAR would easily have reversed

28th January 2018 at 11:13 am #13978I’m referring to our own so-called supporters, Goats. Ironically, the opposition fans are writing more constructive comments and I’d much rather they were here (who’d have thought I’d be saying that! Haha)!

28th January 2018 at 11:15 am #13979I would only feel aggrieved if the VAR system was not corrective.
If we get a goal ruled out by VAR for offside then so be it. You can’t complain. But if there were regular bodge ups, then I wouldn’t be happy and I’d be calling for it to be scrapped.

28th January 2018 at 11:24 am #13980Albion beating Liverpool at Anfield was a shock result but we all know:
1) the Liverpool squad is thin.
2) Moreno and Mignolet aren’t good enough.
3) Klopp is an offensive Coach rather than a defensive Coach.
4) Van Dijk isn’t a magic fix for all Liverpool’s defensive frailties.
5) Coutinho is a massive hole to fill.Liverpool getting knocked out of the FA Cup might ultimately work in their favour as it may help them retain a CL place.

28th January 2018 at 11:42 am #13984There’s never going to be positive comments from the fans when a team loses a game that everyone thought they would win and when the FA Cup was Liverpool’s best chance of a trophy in a while.
Even Klopp probably quite rightly was critical.
“In the decisive parts of the game around the goals it was poor. Bad defending, that’s how it is. Bad defending most of the time means the wrong decision.
“It’s a difficult game, experienced opponent. They deserved it to be honest, I don’t like to say that, but it’s the truth, they deserve it, so compliments to their side. Jurgen Klopp.

28th January 2018 at 12:08 pm #13985Not all of them Goats, so it’s not a generalization. I’m saying certain individuals seemingly have always tendered themselves to be one bad result or two bad results away from telling us the “I told you so” and unravelling everything that is supposedly wrong with the club.
I’ve rarely see them getting behind the team or forecasting a positive prediction. If anything, it’s them who capitulate!
