This is a 6 pointer make no bones about it if either one of these teams want to cement their places for next seasons Champions League.
It goes without saying, a strong attacking outfit to play against which means our defence have to bring their A game.
I hope Klopp will stick with Robertson and no bring in Moreno. If we get the balance right in the midfield, then that’s the key for me. Need significant improvement from Sadio and Salah and Firmino to continue to do what they have been doing all season.
A big win would really be nice, though a little tricky to predict. Let’s hope come Sunday evening is a triumphant one leaving us with hope and confidence to push on.

1st February 2018 at 7:04 pm #14464I usually like to try and remain neutral in these games but for obvious reasons I would prefer a Liverpool victory on Sunday.
A game to look forward to though.
Spurs will need not to be too open and Liverpool will have to be defensively sound to cope with Kane, Eriksen and Dele Alli.

1st February 2018 at 8:26 pm #14465Very tough game. Spurs high line might play into our hands but they are so well
DrilledTo tough to call. Itβs a gane we canβt lose. They are an excellent side

1st February 2018 at 9:38 pm #14467Really important game, but I think the whole race for the top 4 is too close to call, and make no mistake Man Utd are at risk of missing out like the rest of us. We’ve played City twice already. I think the others still have to play them. We’ve got Utd and Chelsea away to come as six pointers. So this is one of the real big games left for this season and it’s just too close to call, but I think my money would be on Spurs for Sunday and for them to get in the top 4

2nd February 2018 at 7:16 am #14468Dunno lads, we shot our load Wednesday all over the YooUtd tarts, and considering our abysmal record away from home against the other “big-boys”, this has a home win all over it!

2nd February 2018 at 9:52 am #14474AnonymousThey gave us the beating of our lives the last time. Hopefully we are going to return the favour. Teams who play a high line against us are always at risk of a battering but that’s what I thought going into the last game.
We can’t put out the same midfield that we did the last day. I’m hoping Klopp will go with something less industrious and more capable of playing a one touch, high tempo way. I don’t want to see Moreno and will be upset if I do. This is one for Robertson (they all are though, right?).
I expect to see this team :
Karius (would prefer Migs)
TAA – Matip – Van Dijk – Robertson
Oxlade – Henderson – Wijnaldum
Salah – Firmino – ManeMaybe we’ll see Gomez again, he does play a lot more than TAA but, Trent would offer us (along with Robertson), that extra attacking threat. I don’t think Lallana will be fit to start but Oxlade has enough about him to take on the role and do well.
Subs that I’d use : Ings, Lallana, Milner. Depends though doesn’t it.

2nd February 2018 at 10:52 am #14475Anonymousi think if we start with dier then liverpool will win. if we start with wanyama then we give ourselves a chance. i would also go with rose ahead of davies, provided hes fit enough and would be great to see toby back but not sure if the game would be too quick for him given it could be his first game since october.

2nd February 2018 at 10:59 am #14476Have the same thought, would like to see the Moose and Vicky in the 2 holding roles, as I’m pretty sure Toby won’t be back just yet (maybe a run-out against Newport next week?). Rest of the team picks itself…

2nd February 2018 at 12:58 pm #14477I guess I’m hoping for an entertaining game like a 5-5 draw, a mass brawl at the end and all players on the field getting suspended for about 10 games.
With only 5 points seperating 5th from 2nd place, that would be pretty ideal I guess.

2nd February 2018 at 2:43 pm #14479Tough game to call but if Spurs play too high a line it will be risky equally though Liverpool’s Achilles heel is their defence and Spurs have the players to test their defence should be a cracker I’m going for 5 all.?

2nd February 2018 at 2:59 pm #144813-1 to the reds on sunday. Liverpool’s pace and pressing will be too much for spurs.

When you play Le Arse? They’re not exactly brawlers. They’re more likely to slap your face lightly and instantly prance away at high speed π
