That was great to see. Anfield rocking and a full house supporting all the young lads
What an experience for them. They were excellent
Jones, Williams and Hoover all have a massive chance of making it with us
Delighted we won that

4th February 2020 at 11:53 pm #67504AnonymousThere’s only one thing that’s typical here and it’s your completely uncalled for lashing out. The thing is, neither myself nor Sean are scousers but you don’t seem to like them. tell me this Moss, are there any races/cultures or groups that you do like?
Tell you what, don’t answer but instead, how about you keep your hatred to yourself?

4th February 2020 at 11:58 pm #67505AnonymousAnyway though, knuckle-dragging cavemen aside, I wonder how much Shrewsbury will get from tonight’s match. We almost filled the stadium but of course with the ticket pricing being 15 for an adult and only 1 for a child (I think) then we might have seen an awful lot of kids being brought for a match. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if they managed to pull up 200-250k from it. Whatever the price, it will for sure be more than the 100k they were suggesting, which will be of some consolation to them, given that we must now face Chelsea in the 5th round.
I’m kinda surprised that it’s only the 5th round actually. It’s a bit early to be meeting the likes of Chelsea but that’s the way of a random draw I guess.

5th February 2020 at 4:10 am #67507Great result for you lads. Not one senior in the side as Klopp promised and still got the win. Were they the same lads that played Villa in the Carabao Cup? Haven’t seen the match last night but assume Shrewsbury would have provided a stern test so well done.
Fully expect both Chelsea and Liverpool to field strong teams in the next round of the Cup though. I think the youth policy will need to be shelved for that one.

5th February 2020 at 5:24 am #67508AnonymousIt’s not about hatred Moos hates Noone, it’s about having a bit of respect and sympathy for a losing team especially if it’s a lower league club, one day when and if you able to reach a higher plane you may understand. Shame.

5th February 2020 at 5:59 am #67510So you donโt care, about all the poor decent shrewsbury fans
Make your mind up Moos. Couple of weeks back you were saying how you didn’t want Sheff Utd doing well because they’re from a lower class area. Not sure you’re one to preach about caring for other fans less fortunate than yourself.
Itโs a real bad season personally all the teams I donโt support like Liverpool, United, Arsenal and now that team from lower class area sheffield are doing well while all my teams I favour are not doing great. Hope it turns around in the 2nd rounds.

Just constant digs at opposing fans and clubs.

5th February 2020 at 7:59 am #67514Liverpool abd klopp have taken a fair amount of stick for this replay. Some of its justified and some of it is certainly not.
The fa have been a disgrace. You donโt organise replays during a break. It doesnโt matter liverpool would still have 5 days break. It made no sense. They didnโt broadcast the match live and that cost Shrewsbury money. 54k turned up last night and a lot of people would have wanted to watch the young lads play
The fa didnโt sell the broadcast to many countries but I watched it on bein in arabic. Liveroool fans and there are millions worldwide always want to watch their team
I would have played more senior players to get fit bit what a night for the young lads. Some will never expierence an atmosphere and full house again so I think klopp made the right decision. What an expierence for these guys
Delighted we won. Delighted for Critchley and all the young players

5th February 2020 at 8:12 am #67517well its all done and dusted now and it will tomorrows chip wrapping!
well done pool and the kids, always nice when you see the kids turn up and play, plenty of good things in the future and shows the PL is finally begining to profit form youth across many teams, think the focus will shift more and more towards this

5th February 2020 at 8:19 am #67518Well, that was a fun night! …and on a school night, as well. Really proud of the kids last night, a number of whom will never get the chance to play at Anfield again in all likelihood. And the atmosphere was bouncing on the Kop, with the 8000 Shrewsbury fans, the other end, playing their part. There were a few empty seats around the stadium, but not many at all…more in the hospitality section than elsewhere. And good to see so many kids in the ground also. The next generation of fans getting a chance to get to a game.
Some greta performances particularly from Neco Williams, the young kid at right back (but imagine being understudy to Trent!), Van der Berg at centre back had a terrific game, having looked very shaky in his previous couple of games, Cain and Chirivella in midfield and of course Jones as well. Great technique from the lads, though I did think Shrewsbury got their tactics wrong, in standing off the kids too much first half and allowing us to grow in to the game and get confidence by just knocking the ball around.
It really stood out how the kids played exactly the same way as the senior lads play, and the whole evening just showed how good everything is at the club right now. The mentality of the kids was just as strong as their seniors. Overall, a much, much more enjoyable evening than I had anticipated, and it wasn’t even as cold, wet and windy as I’d thought.
And, Chelseaman, I wouldn’t be so sure it’ll be full strength Liverpool in the next round. A few days before our 2nd leg against Atletico Madrid. I guess it depends on how the 1st leg goes, to an extent, but haven’t the likes of Jones, Elliot and Williams earned another crack?

5th February 2020 at 8:19 am #67519Sean, to be fair to the FA they’ve bent over backwards to try and accommodate the mid season break with no replays from the 5th Round onwards and all 5th Round ties moved to midweek to accommodate the break unfortunately there was nowhere else to accommodate the 4th Round replays and all Clubs were advised of the 4th Round replay dates at the beginning of the season.
There’s an argument that all replays should have been scrapped from the 3rd Round onwards and there’s some merit in that and it would have provided consistency but I can also understand the FA trying to keep the dream alive for the smaller Clubs by providing them with the opportunity of a replay up to the 4th Round ties and look what nearly happened at Oxford last night.

5th February 2020 at 12:12 pm #67526AnonymousGood old Moos, never change.
Ive thought about where we go from here and I’ve landed on the best solution for all, depending of course how we are for the CL of course but ya… Klopp should really go for the FA Cup. If we were to win it, these lads would all have fond memories of how they genuinely helped the first team win the FA Cup.
Thats much better than letting them go out against Chelsea.

5th February 2020 at 12:30 pm #67528AnonymousMak, Cant say I’m too excited about taking on Liverpool whatever team they put out. Its the FA cup so all I wish for are cracking cup ties with loads of goals and both Mane and Salah sat on the bench.
