Given the limited number of posters currently on the site as it develops ( and imho it’s developing very well) Nil would just be posting to himself the majority of the time if he was posting on the Liverpool club site on here and other than Liverpool fans no one else was allowed to post on the Liverpool site.
Realistically imo certainly currently everything should appear on the Community site to keep the site interesting and everyone involved.
Liverpool v City is one of the classic games of the season and eagerly awaited by all and this thread should attract posts from the whole site and it’s a better thread because of that.
Nil is Nil and you won’t change him his ideal is a vibrant Liverpool site that only Liverpool supporters are all!owed to access that only accepts positive posts about Liverpool which is clearly never going to happen on any football site and unfortunately Nil suffered from the same problems he often demonstrates on here on the TT Liverpool site which ultimately got him banned.
Overall Nil is a decent lad but he wears his heart on his sleeve and unfortunately late at night after a Cider or two will take umbridge with something someone posts about Liverpool.
I do think he needs to stop all these silly rants but I’m not sure he can and then it comes down to is everybody prepared to accept Nil for what he is and from an Editorial viewpoint does the Ed have the time to deal with it all.
Can Nil be encouraged to accept he’s got to do things differently is the key question?

13th January 2018 at 12:49 am #12223Iβm sure he means well but I get sick of the ramblings.
Pissed of an evening and scrolling past utter shite that he posts.
He never learns
Iβm happy having broad views on Liverpool issues and posts – itβs nilβs incomprehensible whining that I dislike

13th January 2018 at 12:54 am #12224Jim, the booing was for the decision – not for Ederson.
I think he was entitled to go for the Ball as lots of other proβs thought as well. It was a terrible clash and Ederson was unlucky. He wonβt be booed at Anfield – but that little snake Sterling will._____________________________

13th January 2018 at 7:59 am #12227Nil’s meltdowns are the regular Fri night / Sat morning entertainment. He does mean well, and I don’t really have an issue with him, as long as people dont think he is truly representative of all Liverpool fans. It would appear he has something of a problem with alcohol, and that is not to be trivialised and if that is the case, he has my sympathy.
As far as I am aware, this is his first major rant and ban, so I would warn him and let him back. He’s tiresome, but essentially well meaning and harmless

13th January 2018 at 8:04 am #12228As others have said, the site is just not big enough or busy enough at the moment to survive with specific club sites. This is the reason the site is set up the way it is. I prefer to see the different forums (be it the Liverpool one, the City one or whatever) more as categories than separate club sites.
If it ever gets to the point where the club sites can survive by themselves and be more defined and separated, then the layout may have to change but for now, that’s just not going to work.
So, to summarise, the site is deliberately set up in a way to maximise the overlap between the different club sites so as to encourage debate.

13th January 2018 at 8:18 am #12229I think it’s great like this, as it actually encourages you to read posts that you wouldn’t normally. The way it is now is like a number of football mad blokes down the pub, though maybe that is a bad analogy after Nil’s meltdown. There is banter and mickey taking, and disagreements but it doesn’t get vitriolic and nasty like it does on other sites. For example, there is obviously a complete dislike of Milner by the City fans on here, which I don’t really understand, and I guess similarly they don’t understand our dislike of Sterling ( but surely you must do really !!)
Anyway the site goes from strength to strength. Even Beni is becoming a regular poster again!

Great analogy Hightown.
I think you’re right “the site is going from strength to strength”. Cheers 999

13th January 2018 at 9:00 am #12233Mane was really dangerous play. I think he was going for the ball but he caught the keeper. It was a red but what I donβt understand is there has been at least 3 incidents very similar since. How was Simon Francis not sent off againest West Ham??? Just inconsistentecy from refs.
I was glad to see sterling go. We got a very good price for him and it ended badly. Give the lad his dues though he thanked Rodgers for his development. I never really rated him as he couldnβt shot. There is no doubt he has come in leaps and bounds now. I didnβt realize he has 18 goals. He will get plenty of stick tomorrow. Heβs n bet showed up at Anfield in the last two seasons but heβs a different player now. Be no surprise to see him score. Heβs vastly improved under pep

13th January 2018 at 12:50 pm #12245Re the format. Club sites only work when there are a decent number of posters who are posting on them regularly currently the only three club sites working successfully on TT are the Liverpool, United and Chelsea sites and club sites didn’t work at all on Footyplace because the community was too small.
In my opinion the Ed made a very good decision making sure every thread appears on the Community section and imo it’s keeping the site lively and interesting as it continues to develop further.
Nothing needs changing on here imo the Ed has done a fabulous job setting up a site that is instant and user friendly.
We’ll never all agree with each other 100% and what a boring site it would be if we did.

13th January 2018 at 12:56 pm #12246Sean, I don’t think there was any intention by Mane but as you say it was a red card and I don’t think the Liverpool fans will react negatively to Ederson.
Be interesting to see what happens with Sterling I’m sure he will get some stick and mentally he seems to have struggled with it at Anfield previously be interesting to see whether Pep has improved his mentality too.

13th January 2018 at 1:34 pm #12250Jim, is Silva injured? If he plays then I just canβt see our midfield containing him and kdb
Nine, pits only a matter of time before sterling turns up at Anfield and tomorrow could be that day
If we can get the balk in behind cities defence then who knows but city are favorites for me. We have only conceded 5 goals at home but we have dropped silly points to Everton, wba and burnley. We should have won all those games. City pull wins out of the bag like West Ham, saints and Huddersfield.
Even for some crazy reason we go 2-0 up, city know we can collapse so Iβd only be able to relax if we were 5-0 up with a minute left lol

13th January 2018 at 2:18 pm #12253Sean, David Silva has been taking time off and missing games to see his new baby which was born very prematurely when him and his Mrs went back to Spain. He’s been playing some of the more important games. So hopefully he will play tomorrow, but clearly no City fans will be anoyed if he doesn’t play. Sonethings are clearly more important, add to the fact that the guy is a legend and we as fans owe him so much.

13th January 2018 at 6:33 pm #12283Just reading through, I quite like NB, you canβt knock his passion for his club, I have absolutely no idea what some of his posts are about, but there you go, I suppose if you wanted clarification and you asked him heβd explain.
I like the way the forum runs to be quite honest, took me a while to click onto the fact that every post went onto the home page, not just the forum itβs posted on…Pagan

13th January 2018 at 6:49 pm #12287I’ve let New Balance back onto the site in time for the City game. I, too, like his passion for his club and there’s a side to Nil that I think adds a lot to the site. It’s the other side to him that, too often, let’s him down but he knows where I stand on that. Welcome back Nil

13th January 2018 at 7:26 pm #12294This forum has nothing to prove. A good lot of fans from different clubs well managed….quality. before quantity. I enjoy the different views despite not being in agreement with all comments but, so far no tribal nonsense
