Wow, that was one of the best Wednesday football European nights I’ve had for a long-time – incredible.

Next game is our main focus now.

Even if we get through, we’re going to be up against it and we’d have to hope for Bayern Munich.

Still, going forward, we are in for one of the toughest 90 minutes at the Ethiad, but I believe with a 3-0 lead we stand a good chance, plus, 1 away goal for really put the cat amongst the pigeons and set a finale, here’s hoping.

Nil, it would take a gargantuan performance for City to turn this around but if Salah doesn’t make it Aguero is back and City pull a goal back in the first 10 mins we might see a game.

After all Liverpool did it in half the time in 2005 with a much lesser team than City’s. 🙂

But I think you’re probably all but home and dry and right to be wanting to draw Bayern although personally I would like to see Barca and Real kept apart in the Semis.

The return leg will be tough if we don’t have Salah. If he’s fine and able to start then it would be pretty shocking of us to not go through.

If anyone knows that you can come back from 3-0 down at half time it’s us, so some caution is required for the players and staff but us fans can talk about the possibilities of a potential semi final opponent.

The teams likely to be in the semi final are : Liverpool, Barcelona, Real and Bayern. it’s not an absolute but it’s the most likely scenario. In that scenario, I honestly don’t know which team I would want, or want to avoid. They are all pretty insane.

If we get through Man city, no matter what happens there is going to be another incredible team to play against but I would be absolutely delighted to just make the semis. We always say this and think “one more progression!”, I guess. Half of the reason we love the CL is the opportunity to beat the best from outside of the PL and we have yet to achieve this.

I have tried to decide on which team I’d like us to be drawn against if we make it. . but I just can’t. Give us any of them and we’ll see what happens. One thing is for sure though. we’re 4 matches away from winning the Champions League. That’s a great place to be in.

Nine, @3:20, yeah true mate.

I must admit I was thrown from the second half how the pendulum just swung with City bossing the possession and really trying to have a go at us.

We really had to rally together with our tails up and soak up their pressure smartly and not crumbling at all. They didn’t have a single shot on target which I’m honestly flattered.

I say this because as you know mate, that’s not us and you feel there’s some kind of a howler awaiting, though it now seems more convincing that Klopp has transformed this side to be more resilient.

Kieta’s arrival in the summer would certainly benefit us to have that steel about us.

On the whole, I’d much rather us visiting Ethiad than say Old Trafford, and tactically from what I saw too, the only real channel of threat repeatedly was from either Sane or Silva.

Plus by surprise, Gundogan was quiet and that’s not like him.

We have been rightly criticised for not having a ‘plan b’, but it seems Klopp’s found a strategy to be able to deal with a like-for-like attack-minded opposition.

Not sure on the back of what happened again Man United, whether psychologically, that’ going to help us.

I was surprised though that inside one half on their own patch, City managed to concede 3 goals.

I’m not sure whether there’s a slight indication of the gloves being off.

I wonder though from the point of view of challenging for the title whether perhaps this was some sort of a twist or a turning point. It’s highly unlikely anything like that could happen now because it’s a little too late in the day as there’s very little games.
