OMG what a pass from Trent, what a pass from Salah, what a shot. That’s the goal of the day.

19th December 2020 at 2:24 pm #172437AnonymousSensational stuff. I believe that’s us firing across the bow of the rest of the PL. Special mention to Taki Minamino, who had some really nice moments, an excellent goal and something to build on. He has a great attitude out there too, works hard but he has a footballing brain, making good runs. He is also just great with the ball in tight spaces. I wont get over-board about him though, even though thats a lot of high praise but that should help him settle.
Great day for Hendo, Robbo, Trent, Salah, Bobby and although he was annoyed to go off, Mane.
The quality of those goals was just out of this world. Where-ever Nil is, I hope someone is around to cheer him up π .. He’s probably Tarzan swinging from a chandelier somewhere.

19th December 2020 at 2:42 pm #172440AnonymousJust another thing, delighted for Bobby, it’s not just that he has scored 1-2 goals, he’s put in a brilliant performance besides it and will again start getting massive credit from a fanbase that was starting to turn on him (well some sections were).

19th December 2020 at 3:05 pm #172442What a performance…just stunning goals – Bobby’s first was my favourite. Good job you kept this on the Liverpool thread! Would really have pissed other fans off! (Smiley face!!). Look out Prem…we’re hitting our stride now!

19th December 2020 at 4:12 pm #172455Is Life just Fantastic?! π
I was supposed to have got away early, but boy Trade has been relentless – customer after customer after customer. One of my colleagues at work manages to fix me up with a stream on his phone and as soon as Minamino finds the net, I celebrate like I’m in a Pub lol. I was getting looks π π
We were 2 nil up and for my lunch break I decide to treat everyone to a Greggs.
7th Heaven, I have not seen that for quite some time. We’ve finally got our Mojo back. I always felt away from home we sort of lost it from when we lost unexpectedly to Watford.
I need to see the highlights properly. We will be Top Christmas Day, yet again.
Right now, everything feels Perfect π π π

19th December 2020 at 5:02 pm #172464Sensational from Liverpool. Best performance and scoreline I’ve seen for a longtime.
The Ox is back too, Minamino getting better, and the Front 3 are back on track.

I’d like you guys back with us; Liverpool and Manchester City.
I’m seeing at the moment, Everton lol π
I love 7-0 Away from Home. I don’t think I’ve ever seen for a while a win like this with a clean sheet, plus going into Christmas.
It’s the Happiest I’ve felt for a While π
Cheers

20th December 2020 at 3:56 am #172480AnonymousScrew that, I want some other teams to make it interesting. if Man City are going to be there then grand but another 2 horse race…. Just no. So boring.
Thanks all the same Brian. I watched most of the City v southampton game earlier and although I think City had the best chances, I feel that Southampton were the better team overall and a loss was very harsh on them but losing Ings takes their goal threat down significantly. Their build up play was good though and it was weird to see someone dominating play against a possession powerhouse like City but I dunno, maybe Pep was comfortable enough to play like Jose for the day? The lack of a goal threat might have lead to this apparent shift. I dont watch city week in and out, so I cant comment further.
One thing I will say and it isnt for the first time this season, is that Southampton are a proper side. I’ve watched them a few times this season and I dont think I’ve been disappointed yet.
As for Liverpool, we reset the Villa result, no more than that. I do want to get carried away, really I do but too many times, even the first half, I’ve seen us looking so porous at the back, or leading to it. I don;t think that was our best performance this season, based on that first half. It has to count. Initially the goals were not exactly against the run of play but they werent the result of a team dominating, yet we were 3-0 quite suddenly. Myself and Sean had minutes before been lamenting our defensive guile but ya, next thing were smashing them. We played better against Chelsea at the start of the season, maybe Leicester also. That though was also partially down to Leicester being kinda poor though, well of maybe Klopp just having Rodgers in his pocket.
My sleeping pattern is upside down ATM, Im trying to get it shifted right before Christmas but here I am with nothing to do now for hours. Im rewatching the US version of the Office ATM, it’s really good if you can stomach the cringe humour.

20th December 2020 at 10:15 am #172494Any others winning from this weekend shouldn’t really be a concern as such. We need Spurs to drop points other wise, they would be only 3 behind us.
We now need to use yesterday as a springboard. Ox and Taki are giving us more options now and we can use players more sparingly. Mane and Salah need to keep their discipline though and should accept they either won’t start or will be substituted.
Klopp’s stance and management is the best way in preserving the fitness of players. It’s looking really well considering the number of injuries and they in turn are now beginning to reduce.
We will eventually have players back. Lets now focus on trying to nail more wins and try and develop a gap.
