Thisgo is back training mak but on his own and not with the team

I’d say he be back end of the month

Jota is due back end of jan

Palace is a horrible away game. Our away form has to improve and zaha is their danager

Probs same team as last night with matip in for willians

Or maybe keita/ox come in for one of the 3 midfield lads who have been running themselves in the ground recently

You know Im not over the moon about the prospect of either keita or Ox starting for us but you’re right, we’ve got to rest people while we can. Not doing so is what leads to not having the option to do so later on, because we’re stacking injuries.

Zaha seems to be on fire this season alright. I’ve nearly got him into my FPL team many times but have gone different routes in the end.

As for Jota, I thought it was gonna be mid Jan but they are listing it as the 6th of Feb now, which is damn worrying. I wasnt watching it now, so maybe it hasnt shifted and I was just wrong initially but either way, that is a huge amount of matches missed.

Hopefully Thiago start training with the team soon.

Some Great News on Tiago, Very Happy.

Only just had a chance to catch up with everything. Mak, I missed some of your replies from the other thread, my bad. With all the excitement, I was flat out lol and just went sleep πŸ™‚ Internet was playing up slightly and missed Firmino’s Winner.

I see Jose seemingly ungracious with his remarks towards Jurgen. He’ll never change.

We need to now focus on our Away form and need to nail another win this Sat at Palace.

Ha no worries Nil. I took a bit of flak for posting too much (aww shucks).. maybe they have a point but I get so into games sometimes. there are moments that I might want to highlight, so I remember to talk about them after or at half time etc. Some didnt like my high lighting of Spurs dirty challenges either but in this case, I just think “I am tired of seeing our players injured by arseholes, so if you dont like it too bad”. I kept that to myself of course and well, the liverpool thread now πŸ˜›

delighted with the 3 points. kinda weirded out to see that if Utd win their 2 games in hand, they are 2nd! … how did I not notice that they were potentially so close? and I was calling for Ole to be sacked. sure it’d be madness to sack him if he’s this close… but ya how long will that last I guess.

Great 3 points, top of the table once more. good point regards our away form, it’s really costing us, which is a surprise given how this has all happened without ma crowd.

Haha, Mak, I did read that πŸ˜€ Lol, might be me that they’re aiming those comments at πŸ˜€ I can only remember the bold bit in “get the ball off them”. I’d be no different in a Room, a Pub or a Ground. It’s a Top Of The Table clash so as time passes with the score-line and everything, there’s going to be tense moments.

I thought on the whole we all mingled well it was Enjoyable – I’m probably saying this because we won but that really was a hard battle.

Yeah, the injuries and everything, makes us of late feel a bit more on the edge. We need players back and freshness. Hopefully, something of a difference this Sat.

              Cheers

Ah it was definitely me man I’d say and I also thought we mingled well enough but i did call out spurs a fair few times. I didnt think people would mind cause I forgot that Chucky isnt the only Spurs fan here and he’s seemingly gone away from the site (hopefully thats all)… If I knew id be winding someone up then I’d have eased off a bit i hope. That said, was I wrong? They put the boot in a few times and then Kane pretending to have a head injury was it for me lol. before people think im only going off cause it was against us, I have given shit about Mane on several occasions. I know ive to accept some level of simulation but there’s a line and Kane crossed it for me.

and ya, I do not like seeing players leaving a straight leg in behind the ball either. it’s just so scummy.

I have to say though that I love that we have another PL match in a 2 days. Obviously Klopp and his team have got to manage the players fitness but as a spectator it’s great.

Mak you’re a passionate fella it’s clear to see and mo bad thing
You’re right about a few of those challenges snd especially Kane he will break someone’s neck or collar bone

I think for me, can’t speak for others, the site is so heavily Liverpool biased with posters as it is, we have lost most of the spuds posters a good few of the Chelsea ones

Only ever been me for my mob

It almost becomes a Liverpool site at times and boring because of it and the few times anything negative is said against poop it kicks off

The minute by minute text commentary between you snd nil also gets boring

                  Watch the game! Enjoy it

Chances are we are all watching to

A weekend match thread has 80% posts on Liverpool and their match …

Keep the passion but be aware the rest of us support clubs mainly going through tough times or just no where near what you have snd have built under klopp

I miss a lot of posters on here something odd happened a few months ago not sure what but it resulted in Nancy going and a bunch of others

Even TT feels better sometimes now

I always read and rarely post now

Pool for the title this year for me and honestly think we are im snd will remain in a relegation battle all season

Stevo I think there are only me, nil
And mak who are Liverpool fans who post regularly. Hightown pops in now abd again. It’s not the amount of Liverpool fans, it’s the amount of posts but I get your point

I think there are more Chelsea fans on here but they don’t always post. Chelsea fans are some of the best posters around including on team talk

Us Liverpool fans should really stick to this thread especially during the games. I very very rarely post during a game but I totally understand Stevo’s point

One thing that has struck me with this week in light of the sad passing of Gerard Houllier is the Timeline and Journey of Liverpool Supporters and be lucky to register and engage in Football Forums to share their experiences.

Just these posts above encapsulate something special between few of us guys that have probably been in and around and shared posts for 20 years plus.

That relationship built. It’s unique and I’m not aware of any forums/sites that could say the same of it’s contributors.

Liverpool were in dark days and times in the latter 1990s and Houllier changed that.

There would be a very few on here that may remember the Editors/Co Editors of Liverpool Yoursay; BB GR NC, Ashy. It’s as if Teamtalk was the foundation that paved way for something else to happen and here were are in 2020. I genuinely feel thankful and blessed as to how far we have come πŸ™‚

Steveo – I’m sorry you think the site is over dominated by Reds fans, and I would hate to think you’ve stopped posting because of it. Sadly Pax and Chucky seem to have disappeared, which is a great shame cos I always enjoyed their insight. I can only encourage you to post more (God knows, as an Arsenal fan, you have enough to post about at the moment!). The Liverpool fans on here are a lively, passionate and knowledgeable bunch, and while sometimes I can see this may irritate opposition fans, but all of us have contributed to discussions concerning other clubs, it’s not all blinkered Liverpool stuff. I must admit, I very rarely post during a game, as I’m concentrating so much on the game and I don’t want to miss anything – it takes me that long to type, I’ll miss red cards and then wonder why there’s only 10 men on a side! But I would never criticise people for posting during a game…each to his own.

So please, give us your opinion on what has gone wrong at the Emirates, and I’ll promise I’ll reply!

Not a bad idea regards keeping posts here for match days I guess.

Nil : “There would be a very few on here that may remember the Editors/Co Editors of Liverpool Yoursay; BB GR NC, Ashy.” wow thats a blast from the past. you’ve gone back to the 90s πŸ˜› TBH I don’t remember much about them and wouldnt have remembered even their names had you not come up with them yourself, I’d say.

HH, ya I talk about other clubs all the time, it’s definitely not just all Liverpool but I do post a lot about Liverpool and ya, Im not sure why people get so upset that I post during a match about incidents in it. true enough I could and should limit it a bit to not be spamming but ya.

it is a shame that people are leaving here alright but that’s not my fault, or anyone else’s and ya, if people want to talk about something else then open up the topic. Still though, I’ll take Sean’s advice and keep the matchday stuff here.

Mak, ah right πŸ˜€ I thought both you and Sean were around at that point of Time on TT.

I watched some retro Liverpool from Houllier’s era and when we won the Treble.

I suppose it was a case of everything hitting home with everything that made me go all nostalgic. Us Posters have been together in Forums for years which I recognize as something genuinely Good.

I’m not sure why anybody would object to posting their thoughts during a Live Game. Sometimes, I’d take a bit of a backseat, but I think this was because it was a Top Of The Table Clash, and maybe because of the fact that it was Jose too with his pre-match mind games.

I always felt us guys collectively as Liverpool supporters have been as objective as we can towards other clubs. Naturally there will be some bias and preciousness.

Maybe if it’s coming across to others as it being overloaded and excessive, then we can keep comments on here.

All part of learning, Have A Good Evening Mate.

I was on TT from early 2000s too I think. Posted under “Mikkyboy” then, Mikus thereafter. That period was its heyday though. It was a great hub for news and the yoursay feature was a real bonus with some funny characters. That’s the mistake I think they made with the new site imo – they separated the yoursay feature from the home page so you only got the die hard fans staying after that. Shame, but all such things come to an end. Good to have this site though to continue from those days. Do pop back to TT occasionally and there’s a few good posters still there, but just got increasingly frustrated with accessing/navigating the site.

Sean lol Mark is Always Number 1 πŸ˜€ πŸ™‚ – Love The Guy and Marshy Too.

2000 spelt Sander Westerveld he’s now 46! πŸ˜€ Good Guy and a First Class for Liverpool. We then had Sami Hyypia and Steven Henchoz. The Left and Right Backs I think just found their way through natural progression; we signed Dietmar Hamman, and that effectively was our Spine.

After winning 5 Trophies, we were at the point of progressing to the next level. I’m not sure as such I’d point the finger towards investment. In all honesty, I felt we simply shot ourselves in the foot when signing El Hadji Diouf for 10 Million.

That just seemed at best ill Advised and at worst, Fraudulent. 10 Million. Christian Ziege grew to be good through nature, but Bruno Cheyrou, Salif Diou.

We were kidding ourselves and at that point in time fell behind to Manchester United, and Arsenal, whilst Chelsea were emerging.

We shoujd have signed anelka instead of Diouf nil mate.

Was so disappointed when we sold Fowler. Absolutely loved him.

Instead of pushing on after the treble , we went backwards and I believe that’s when houllier started turning very negative tactically. Playing heskey wide left always sticks in my mind. Houllier had most the crowd by the time held but he loved the club. You can see how much the likes of Gerrard, carragher, hamann etc think of him with their comments this week.

He will go down in Liverpool history.

Diouf, Diao & Cheyrou were our big signings that summer if I remember. And they were all disastrous. That effectively finished Houllier at the club. But thinking more about Houllier, he effectively had two jobs at Liverpool – he was both manager, and in a sense, technical director who oversaw the big changes needed at the club. That’s probably what put him under so much pressure and perhaps what led to his heart problem or exacerbated it. But still, he laid a vital foundation at the club.
