Nine, I think you’re going to be correct, so I’ve put a 5er on Liverpool +2 and another 5er on Mane to score first. Salah was the obvious/usual choice initially but mane is rested now, so I think this might be his game.
I really can’t see this going any other way than a Liverpool win but obviously the team can’t get complacent.

I actually feel upbeat this evening even though we didn’t get the win.
I would have felt the opposite had we had taken the lead, and then practically for the entirety of that game, not added a second goal with Fulham equalizing late on.
Imagine what the Media; that would have been a feast for them, even if it was a draw.
Notice the ‘Contrast’. Same Outcome; Different Perspective.
Williams and Jones played good. The Boys needed a kick Up The Backside.
Allison was Our Rock; World Class.
Now time to prepare for Wednesday and we will have our 12th man haha 🙂

Gents have a look at the Fabinho challenge. Mariner Thankfully kept with his Original Decision NOT to award Fulham a Pen.
What has struck me, (something I pointed out on the general footy thread) was the Length Of Time spent in ‘Examination’ which what it can Trigger is Doubt.
The Referee then questions his own Judgement. It seems a little bit Conspired and Contrived too based on Recent History, but it certainly makes you wonder further down the line on Reflection.

The other angles were more useful but there you can see, he wins the ball without going through him. The bias on here is incredible “that was definitely a penalty and everyone except liverpool fans will agree”… ya sure.

I am re-posting cause it didnt work but, this is the other angle, the quality is poor but…
I think if this is another team, people are seeing that the player wins the ball cleanly.
In a way i get the anti-Liverpool thing thats going on. 2 times this season I’ve been overly vocal about some other incidents and the results that they were attached to, it gets under peoples skin and they then want to see something in another way. fine but… let’s cut that away and admit, it just isnt a penalty.
and BTW, i know freeze frames dont tell the whole story but look at fabinho making contact then play it back and watch the direction the ball goes.

By VAR standards I think Liverpool got away with one there Mak, clearly played the player first, but it’s a fast moving contact sport and in real time the ref didn’t give it, so I’d be happy with that……Pagan

We don’t have to agree but there’s just no way Im ever going to accept non-impact contact as being a foul. He wins the ball without going through the player. i think their socks rubbed off eachother before it, with no physical sign of contact, hence why (I think) the ref has not given it.
I think I would say it wasnt a peno were it against us too, you might not think so and thats ok. I don’;t think Im totally red tinted glasses, I’ve called out Mane for diving several times recently (he’s getting very bad in fairness).
anyway no big deal really Pagan, have a good one mate.

It wasn’t a Penalty as Fabinho got the Ball First. I don’t know what ‘correct’ type of challenge should be made in Blueprint, when faced in the Box. Perhaps, don’t make any challenge to ensure compliance.

This comes down to the new direction they seem to be taking, what Mikus was talking about before it too : refs being stronger to stick to their own judgment and not defer to stockley park so much.

Expected a very tough game and we got it. Didn’t get going at all.
On we go. Jota out now for 2 months. We are still up there with so many injuries and loads to play for
Really tough game wed and we need to score 1st to get spurs to go at us as they will sit back. It be typical jose set up. 6 at the back without the ball etc

Let Ox come on with 20-30 mins left, not starting hopefully. The benefit to him coming on later is that Spurs will likely be parking the bus and having someone who can snap one in from range might help but otherwise I think we’ve got better players to pick from and he’s not 100% match fit.

It wasn’t a good comment that Ed rightly deleted, probably best to be left that way Mak to be honest. Looking at 442’s attack on Brian in the Brexit thread I’m guessing he wasn’t having a good day yesterday and thought an online footie forum was the best way to vent!
