I really can’t see us spending big this summer.
We were very lucky with injuries this season. Rumour is Origi will sign a new contract and Brewster will replace Sturridge
I’dike a forward who can play anywhere in the 3. Very difficult to find a player like that.
Timo Werner be nice but I’d say he will go to Munich
Be interesting to see who
Leaves this summer. Is Miller’s contract up or is it 2020? If it’s up I’d give him
A contract. Great utility player to have in the squadLallana, Sturridge, Moreno and a few others to go

23rd May 2019 at 9:48 pm #41327Milner would be a great loss to us, Sean.
I don’t know anything about his contract, but did see on one of the Pundit You Tube channels his name listed as a speculated leaver in the summer.
My guess is that Klopp will try and use him less to allow him a back seat. Fabinho and Keita will be the main men with Hendo having the freedom to join the attack and be the Playmaker.

23rd May 2019 at 10:28 pm #41328Winji has been our beat midfielder this season in my opinion nil. An absolute steal for 25m.
He will play a major role next season again

24th May 2019 at 5:55 am #41330Still think Liverpools weakness is in the middle of the park they don’t dominate enough but rely on their free scoring forwards and of course since van Dyk came in the defence has improved massively. Plus a decent enough keeper.

24th May 2019 at 9:26 am #41337Not enough goals from midfield alright rover. Fabhino has been excellent. Makes us more solid. Keita was getting going with 3 goals in 6 games. Hopefully he can really step up next season.

24th May 2019 at 10:29 am #41338More goals from midfield is always good and hopefully Ox and Keita can provide that but I disagree that Liverpool don’t dominate midfield enough. The way they hound, stop the opposition, cover our rampaging full backs and start attacks for our free scoring forwards do our thing tells me they do dominate. If we were dominated often we wouldn’t of accumulated 97 points.
I think it’s fashionable for fans to knock Liverpool midfield because they don’t play that many pretty triangles and one twos in the middle but instead use their physicality and intensity. It’s our style, and it works.

24th May 2019 at 3:53 pm #41381AnonymousI don’t think we’re a side who are looking to dominate the opposition. We will have spells of this but our default stance is more to let the opposition play themselves into trouble and to counter. I mean, it’s hard to break us down into just a sentence or because we play a variety of ways but the Man City style dominance is not one of them and it’s by design.
We definitely could use more goals from midfield as that reliance can come back and bite you. It hasn’t really because we’re relying on 3 , not 1. So there is that but if we had just one more from midfield who was a goal threat… Can it be done without sacrificing something else from our game? I’m not sure but if there is one man who knows, it’s Klopp.
I don’t think we really have to change much. You don’t get this many points and think “we desperately need this and that”, it’s just tweaking and refreshing at this stage. You could say that we could use more depth also, perhaps but Klopp also doesn’t like to have huge squads. I wouldn’t be totally shocked if we don’t buy anyone. I obviously hope we get at least players but…
As for Milner, his contract is up next month. I really hope he wants and gets an extension. He’s still got the legs for the game. You lads remember when Gerrard could no longer keep it up, it was very apparent. I get absolutely no signs so far that Milner is slowing down. He’s got at least 1 more top season in him, maybe more! Some players can do it for longer and he’s obsessively looked after himself over the years.

24th May 2019 at 3:58 pm #41382AnonymousThreeps, when I read the domination comment, I immediately thought of how Man City do it. Now, maybe I just interpreted it incorrectly… But ya, we dominate in our own way for sure, just not in a possession sense.
When we decide to press the opposition, nobody does it like us. That is us dominating the opposition. I think we’ve been much more reserved (generally) this season and it’s done the trick. We have learned to play a more reserved style and we’ve kept ourselves fresh and stopped exposing our defence at every attack.
it’s not as pretty to watch but we’ve always got that heavy metal football in our locker if needed. I wouldn’t be shocked to see it in the final. What with Spurs high line and how they’ve actually matched us quite well when we’ve played the way we do this season.

24th May 2019 at 9:15 pm #41394You’re a Grade A Plum for posting this on this Liverpool In-House Thread, and that’s why I want us to smash Spurs and that’s why I don’t wish too much Good Luck on any British Base Team, because this is what precisely happens when face-to-face.

24th May 2019 at 9:34 pm #41401Well maintained decorum 3ps. Hours of crap from work otherwise inevitably-eventually breaks all my placid nature.
Daily Mail is the worse source as some sort of a base used to exercise such point.
I don’t like Spurs/dislike Spurs for this VERY reason. What they do, or how they come across is that they’re sinking; and they then want to grab hold of your arm and then drag you down to their level.
Liverpool Football Club has Illustrious History and Stature and one of the current Best on the Circuit.
I’m not interested in anybody stir-causing, because WE WILL SHAKE HANDS and be Professionals – as WE ARE.

24th May 2019 at 9:52 pm #41403Mr Balance, not sure what your point is, Arsenal were unbeaten, so it can’t be that, surely you’re not celebrating being best at coming second, that’s not the Liverpool way….Pagan

24th May 2019 at 10:18 pm #41404The point is Mr Pagan, there is mick, then there is mick – mockery and “oh another Loserpool final lost – Brendan Klopp, Klippity Klopp.
I’ve tasted this. Of course, there are a lot of Haters. The Scouse this that and the other is Bullshite. There’s a Plethora of Liverpool Supporters WorldWide.
I’ve said from the start don’t mention too much good luck or get close because this is what happens when it comes to being precious. We are sick to the back teeth of losing finals left right and centre and so we are focused on what ‘we do’. No room in essence of Coffee and TV I have to be Ruthless to say.
