Delighted for Kenny having involvement with the Presentation.
We’ll have to obviously wait for some sort of normality for when the Team can properly celebrate with it’s Supporters.

That game should have been 3/0
Win after we went 1-0 upAn easy stroll it should have been. We just gifted them bsck into the game

15th July 2020 at 9:30 pm #129190What I would like to know is what’s happened to our depth?
Where’s Shaqiri for example? No Adam Lallana. Matip in the Back is missed. Van Dijk needs a first class centre half to partner him.

15th July 2020 at 9:41 pm #129197Agree Sean, I was puzzled by Keita’s absence from the starting line-up. He’s going to be more full of beans too. Hell, I’d even play Jones too. Looks like most of the first team have just got a bit cock sure of themselves.

15th July 2020 at 9:49 pm #129203Nil you could have Franco Baresi in his prime alongside VvD and it would of made no difference to the horrendous mistake he made. Shaq has played 4 games or so this season and will be sold, Lallana is also leasing and Matip is out for the season.

15th July 2020 at 10:24 pm #129224I can understand whatโs going as the league is won but play like champions.
League is over fair enough but I still want to enjoy watching us play. That was just furstrating as we totally dominated the game

15th July 2020 at 10:26 pm #129227Well, there goes the dream of 100 Points. Genuinely and Desperately wanted that.
Maybe 99 Red Balloons haha ๐
I accepted defeats graciously of Watford and Man City and they were well deserved. There’s mistakes, then there’s mistakes that look like a handout which is what I feel, but nothing whatsoever to take away from Arsenal and Congrats; very Respectful too in the Guard Of Honour and Thanking Them.
Didn’t Klopp say something about ‘A Manual’ not available for when a Team has Won a League Title for the First Time in 30 Years with Games To Spare. It’s True. A Unique Situation. Some Players look as though they want to see out 90 minutes without wanting to break too much of a sweat. Tonight highlighted clearly how we miss Henderson and Milner – just underrated examples.
We’ve a Weeks Rest, but I’m hoping these players even though we’ve achieved something extraordinary, that they need to go out on a proper high and actually play like Champions and Win their Remaining 2 Games.

15th July 2020 at 10:29 pm #129230Threep’s, I was happy Shaqs got a run out Tonight and he did pretty good. There may well be an intent behind the scenes of certain players being sold, but with that, what’s vital for our current and future is that we Invest, be it signing new players and/or Youth.

15th July 2020 at 10:35 pm #129235Sean, completely agree mate.
We should have quite clearly exhibited an example of Champions. I don’t know whether some players just want this season now to finish so they can go away for the Summer.
The Irony of this too is that Klopp Picked a Strong Line Up.

15th July 2020 at 10:42 pm #129240Nil, agree with what you say mate. Itโs a difficult one as the league is won but I still want to see us win the remaining games and enjoy watching us play chum

15th July 2020 at 10:53 pm #129246AnonymousThe thing is, we’re messing with next season here. By the time it kicks off, our opposition and even our own players will have forgotten the team that swept everyone aside and they’ll remember the more current Liverpool. The team who everyone got a result against.
This is not how you defend a title. I’m writing that off right now, to be clear.

15th July 2020 at 11:00 pm #129253Mak, and we know damn well City wouldn’t be doing this in the same position – they’d still be blowing sides away!

16th July 2020 at 4:12 am #129424AnonymousExactly, I mean look at them since they came back. Now, I know it isn’t quite as simple as that because they still have CL football but the PL has been over for ages and they’ve come back, absolutely smashing everyone, including us.
We’ve been really poor since we came back. I know some others have a different opinion and we havent been all bad true but in comparison to how we were, it’s a cliff edge and I just think we’ve blown our best chance at setting a record that could have stood for decades, or more. Not just any old record either, a total points record is as good an indication to quality as a team can have over a single season.
Forget the record though, we’ve dropped off and when it comes to us playing the new season, everyone knows we’re very beatable now suddenly and it will be a different tune. Teams will setup knowing they can beast us, instead of the way they’ve been recently, which took us so bloody long to cultivate.
I know others on here arent as disappointed as me but I think you will be, eventually. ,I hope I’m wrong.

16th July 2020 at 8:04 am #129548I don’t know who is not as disappointed as you, Mak. I think we have really missed an opportunity since th restart – to stamp our authority and superiority on this league, and to start next season with teams still thinking we are virtually unbeatable. We all accept that on their day City can beat anyone, including us, and therefore we are not 20+ points better than them, but the drop off has been alarming, especially with the word coming out that we are not going to be buying anyone.
I am concerned, though I console myself with my memory of Liverpool winning the league in 1984, I think, with 5 games to go. Our last 5 games we lost 4 and drew one, though we did have the excuse of a European Cup Final to prepare for. I do think this time though that we are in danger of blowing a big opportunity.
Sadly Divvy, Ox, Minamino are just not good enough, and Curtis, Neco are not there yet, and I am worried about Bobby. Feel I should just be celebrating our triumph, but instead I’m just angry and frustrated

16th July 2020 at 8:29 am #129561Hightown, itโs disappointing mate but look what we have achieved.
When all this is over we will look back on a truly remarkable season but itโs an anti climax how all this is finishing
I donโt think the last few are a true reflection on this team at all. So Iโm not concerned about next season
Players are already on holidays mate.

16th July 2020 at 9:39 am #129602Odd game last night. I thought Arsenal were probably the worst Arsenal team I have seen yet somehow we lost. That should of been an easy win and until the drinks break it looked it. Mistakes happen but to have two in one game is pretty rare. I’m glad it wasn’t other members of the team that made or they would be lynched (online metaphorically speaking kinda way)!
I am starting to get concerned about some of our players. Ox in particular, he never gets a good run of games but I just think his quality is not good enough. Would certainly put Keita above him in the attacking midfielder slot. Origi we all know about and probably agree he isn’t good enough (although I cannot see a replacement this year), but Minimino is a strange one to call. Looks like he is being primed for the Firmino role and he is very busy but still looks like he cannot stand up to the physical side of the English game.
As for records there’s only one I count, the trophies record. We still lag behind Utd regarding the league and that should be the only record we set ourselves for. City can keep whatever records they want, to me there’s an * next to them anyway!

16th July 2020 at 10:38 am #129638The concern is that as Rob has pointed out on TT, the results since the home game at Atletico have been poor: Won 5, Drawn 2, Lost 6 in all competitions. For 18, Against 20. I think we saw yet again last night how we can struggle to break teams down. I was getting really frustrated with some of the full backs lazy balls into the box which were more like desperate hit and hope balls than anything, though TAA was more guilty than Robertson. Salah poor again last night, Manรฉ looked the only bright spark. If we donโt bring in competition or better creativity, this success I donโt think will be very sustainable. It all just looks rather tired.

16th July 2020 at 11:18 am #129663We cant let players go in my view if there is not an intent to replace. We would be down in numbers and would have to rely on the kids.
Minamino is lightweight and will fall over more often than keeping his balance.
We need to strengthen with 2/3 quality signings and/or better squad players.โฝ๏ธ??

16th July 2020 at 12:21 pm #129680Nil, we have next to no money for 2 or 3 quality signings. HH is right, expect minimal transfer activity this transfer window. Jones will be Lallana’s replacement.
We also have a non home grown quota issue, think we are at a max. So until we get rid of the likes of Grujic, Origi, Lovren etc we won’t buy anyone anyway.
