Fabhino has been excellent since he broke into the team last season. He was very good againest Southampton. He constantly wins the ball bavk. Keeps the ball
Moving and is a beast in our box for defending corners. He was very sluggish in his first few games back after injury. Mikius says he’s slow but I disagree. He gets around midfield no bother and people forget how open we are in clubs first year. We hardly get caught on the break these days
Kanye doesn’t play a holding role for Chelsea and hadn’t since sari came in and no way would Chelsea ever sell him to another pl club

5th February 2020 at 5:27 pm #67563AnonymousHH, only a small few so far now. it’s not a big thing at all but since we have Mikus here who doesn’t really rate him and you wouldn’t say he’s the fickle type then maybe there will be more soon.
Nobody keeps possession like Wijnaldum and nobody tackles like Fabinho. He has been a bit slow on his comeback but I guess it was a long enough injury. I definitely wouldn’t say he’s slow either but I can see why Ginger from TT, Mikus and maybe others think he is and for me, it’s cause he has a long gait.

5th February 2020 at 5:45 pm #67564I wasn’t aware that Mikus didn’t rate him, I must admit. For me, he is a vital part of a team, though Hendo did a very capable job covering there for him while he was out (kiss-assing again!! Smiley face). But Fab in the team gives us a bit of steel, and a bit of what Fernandinho gives City when they play him in the right position. Apart from anything else, Fab being in the team allows Hendo to play his best position. Fab is taking a bit of time to get back to his best, admittedly, which is why I would have played him last night. He needs minutes on the pitch, and we can’t afford to have him undercooked for the Atletico game in a couple of weeks.

5th February 2020 at 6:51 pm #67566Just don’t think we’ve particularly missed Fabinho whilst he’s been out. The clean sheets seem largely to be connected with Gomez & Van Dijk (and goalkeeper). And many have been saying Henderson is in the form of his life recently, again whilst Fabinho has largely been out. We don’t seem to be scoring more or less goals without him either. Sure, as part of the team and the squad, he’s useful to have to share the load and give others a break. But we just don’t seem to miss him greatly since he’s been out. And for me when he has been playing, I just think he does get passed and beaten too easily at times.
As for Kante it was more a tongue in cheek comment really. But the point was his profile would be more suited to us – nimble, yet quick strong and full of energy.

5th February 2020 at 10:17 pm #67574Pity you lads arn’t playing this weekend and City their match the following. Would like to have seen a lead of 25 points just for the landmark value of a quarter of a century.

7th February 2020 at 5:37 pm #68047Anonymous“Hendo did a very capable job covering there for him while he was out (kiss-assing again!! Smiley face)”
Haha 😛 but no this isn’t kissing his ass, it’s a true statement.
What I would say it closer to it is this incredible drive from fans to have Hendo named POTY, in fact I have little doubt in my mind that he’ll be voted in as POTY for Liverpool anyway. I whole-heartedly disagree with this position. As I said above, I just think that there are other players who are more deserving.
It seems that there is no level of appreciation for someone like myself who acknowledges his improving influence on results that gets me out of the Hendo Hating club, in the eyes of other fans. The Hendo debate is still pretty entrenched I guess.
Mikus, I’ll keep what you’ve said in mind when I watch Fabinho continue his comeback from injury. To be honest, I’ve not been able to pay as close attention as I’d like to in matches lately. So maybe some things are slipping by me.

7th February 2020 at 6:10 pm #68062I’ll say this Mak, I think our midfield, the way we set up, are the most interchangeable positions in our team whereby we can easily rotate them without a detrimental effect on the overall team. I wouldn’t say we have this luxury for other areas of the pitch so much. So it’s not so much that I see Fabinho as a bad player or anything. I don’t. But our midfield require more grafting and tactical qualities, so as I say, they’re more interchangeable. And I’d actually say because of that, Henderson fits us better than Fabinho does, because of his energy and pressing abilities. So I’d probably say we’d miss Henderson more than Fabinho.
I might be completely wrong on this, but my suspicion is that Fabinho was more of an advisory signing by the recruitment team as opposed to Klopp chasing him. Conversely, it does seem that Keita was a player that was chased by Klopp, and that wouldn’t surprise me, given his high energy and mobility around the pitch – something you associate with Klopp.

7th February 2020 at 6:36 pm #68070AnonymousWell, we can’t agree on everything. It’s my opinion that we’d miss Fabinho more than Hendo, long-term. It’s not something I feel super passionately about though, so I don’t really care to find out TBH.

7th February 2020 at 7:43 pm #68092AnonymousSo how does the handing over of the PL trophy go exactly? Is it a case of us winning it and then the game after it’s given to us cause that sucks if that’s the case.
They should present the trophy to the team upon sealing it, instantly… where possible.
I know sometimes 2 teams are fighting to the last day and they are 100s of miles apart etc.. but this time we know where it’s going.

7th February 2020 at 7:50 pm #68095Final game of the season v Chelsea at Anfield is when the trophy is presented. That’s the way it’s been every season.

7th February 2020 at 8:23 pm #68106Mak…the reason is, I think, a season is just that, a season and other teams are competing for say a top 4 or relegation it is all wrapped up in a “season” Liverpool will win it before the season ends but so have many other teams but the tradition and rules are you play the season until all teams have there final place. You can celebrate weeks before though while other poor souls fight it out

7th February 2020 at 10:18 pm #68171AnonymousThe trophy has always been presented on the last day? I could have sworn that they let the players hold it etc before then. I have the worst memory. Anyway I’m ok with it being held until the end but honestly, we’ve won it so far in advance, it just feel kinda surreal and almost… I’m just not sure it will be much of a celebration by then. I mean, I’m honestly kinda over it already, if that makes sense.

7th February 2020 at 10:58 pm #68183Mak I agree with you mate, Hendo has improved massively and has made posters like me eat my words on him being a success at Liverpool. That said IMO there’s no way he’s POTY, the likes of VVD & Mane are well ahead for me as far as that goes.
Either way a great season so far from Hendo & pretty much all our lads, hence being so far ahead at this stage of the season. Long may it continue, starting with another 3 valuable points at Norwich.
Take care all._____________________________

8th February 2020 at 1:17 am #68215AnonymousI’ve always felt that as great as liverpool fans are, they are the biggest bunch or morons under the son. Most wanted Rafa fired when it was fucking obviously the owners. Most wanted Rogers sacked even though it was also obviously out of his hands.
I’m proud to support the club, of course and I love our exchanges. if there is some slight over-lapping of ideas, it’s definitely not intentional and I’d not say this if I didnt respect everyone here.
It’s just depressing how silly and infantile it can get. This is a sport, not some spiteful drama.
anyway, Im pretty tired so I’ll leave it there.

8th February 2020 at 11:43 am #68294Sorry mak, hate when people start talking about parades etc when it’s not won ?
As I hate all the treble talk aswell.
Win the pl 1st then start thinking about everything else. Anything else in this season if win the pl is a massive bonus
To win the league is absolutely massive. It’s been 30 years!
I never thought I would see the day but I’m always cautious

8th February 2020 at 11:57 am #68295AnonymousI wasn’t exactly clear with what I said last night 😛 I’m not talking about anyone on here. I’ve been reading maybe too many opinions on twitter and reddit, fb etc lately and it can get pretty annoying. Honestly, just sometimes, I wonder know how other fans tolerate us.
‘This means more’ – No it doesn’t. We are definitely part of a special club but it really means the same as it does anywhere else, to any other fans.
Anyone else dislike that tagline that some marketing crowd have created for us?

At this stage Sean though, I think we’d have to lose more than half our remaining games to not win the title. That definitely won’t happen. You don’t have to agree with me here, I get that you want to hold on but it is done mate 😉
The treble talk haha ya, I admit that I have gone into that discussion a bit but that doesn’t mean I am taking Atletico lightly. In fact, I’m a bit worried that the lads might be complacent heading into it. You must hate the invincibles talk. What do you think of the ‘Centurion Invincibles treble’ discussion? 😛 (put the knife down, I’m joking).

8th February 2020 at 12:22 pm #68297Mak, you can already see the bitterness from
Some fans. Opposing fans (not on here) are saying it’s the worst pl ever and no one is challenging us. No one is challenging us because because we have won 24 games out of 25. People say liberoool fans are going to be unbearable , which is true but the absolute abuse and stick we have taken will make that ok for some fans. The slagging for 30 years has been relentless but to me it’s only banter but other fans take it personally
The shit we have had to put up with. It clearly pisses some people off how we are progressing
The hatred shows how good of a team we are now, it’s gone on for years with Chelsea and utd were so successful.
I’m just enjoying it and get no joy from rubbing people’s faces in but I can understand why some of our fans are going on like they are. All clubs have abs like it
Enjoy the moment but I’ll always be gracious when winning and losing

8th February 2020 at 12:27 pm #68299winning the title and back to back Champions Leagues MUST be a reasonable goal especially with such a massive lead in the Premier League and therefore the opportunity to rest key players the weekend before each and every Champions League tie.
I get it that the supporters want to set all sorts of records and also blow away Arsenal’s feat of 15 years back but does the club itself have the same views?
Resting key players before every Champions League match is a luxury very few clubs have had previously and I would think one that should not be wasted. It will be interesting moving forward to see what Klopp does.
The FA Cup tie with Chelsea is a toss up as success there against Chelsea would mean congestion later on and that may not be is the club’s beat interests. I think he will risk that one and try getting through on a mixture of experience and youth and that may be enough.
However it all unfolds I wish your club and the supporters all the best.

8th February 2020 at 12:35 pm #68301Sean, turn the other cheek mate Liverpool would still be winning the PL title this season whatever the other teams were doing.
Nobody can argue with 24 wins and one draw from 25 games.
Hopefully Liverpool fans at least on here won’t be unbearable that would be a shame but nobody can begrudge Liverpool this title it’s totally deserved.
